All I had done was have transmission fluid and filter changed. No appointment needed. When I dropped my car off that morning, someone from there gave me a ride back home. The staff is so incredibly nice. As a woman, I don’t like going to mechanics or car shops of any kind but I truly had such a pleasant experience here. They looked at my car - (which ended up being a minor issue) they fixed it and didn’t even charge me for any labor or maintenance. Truly so kind. These Guys are FANTASTIC!. I have 50+ year old vehicle. The transmission is no longer manufacturered and parts are VERY hard to find. I had three other transmission shops tell me they could not be bothered sorting it out. Topeka Trans took on the project, found the parts (which was not easy), and charged a very reasonable price. I would HIGHLY reccomend them for any transmission problem.

The only place to take your vehicle for transmission service in the Topeka and surrounding area. Locally owned, honest with fair pricing. It doesn’t get any better. I was born and raised in Topeka. I moved away 20 years ago. Back in town visiting family a couple days before July 4th holiday and I got a strange warning message on my Suburban to shut the car down because the transmission was over heating. Took it in the next day and they diagnosed and fixed it all on the same day. These guys are awesome!

I have taken many cars here for transmission service on multiple cars, from my old edge, mercedes, VW etc. multiple times, Doyle is an honest mechanic i can trust my business too, and he breathes transmissions trust me, so i never have to question whether or not to be weary. Doyle and the team came to the rescue! When briggs quoted me $2,300 to get back on the road, Topeka Transmission got me squared away for just a fraction of the cost. The whole team was super kind throughout the whole process, and Doyle was even kind enough to show me exactly where the concern areas of my vehicle were. I highly HIGHLY recommend this group. Doyle and Lori are awesome!!!! Took my sons car in thinking the transmission was going out ....when in reverse it would make a horrible grinding noise!!! Had them look at it turned out to be a missing bolt on the caliper fixed it no charge!!!! I talked to Doyle after getting an ungodly estimate from a dealership mechanic, they diagnosed the problem and recommended taking some other steps (for services outside of their shop) to fix the problem , and then gave me a plan for if those steps didn’t work. I’m beyond thankful these guys were recommended to me and will be back! They ended up saving me thousands of dollars.

If you need any kind of transmission or even rear end work done DO NOT waste your time going ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!. Excellent service super friendly (not condescending like most places) and most of all very reasonably priced I'm my opinion. They had my truck in and out just had to wait on parts which is everything and everywhere right now seems like. Will always take my vehicle here now especially with the free diagnosis. I Drained my transmission fluid instead of my oil…oops… since the bowl to fill the fluid back up was stripped, I was at a loss. I called Topeka Transmission and they were able to get my car in that day. They weren’t able to look at it until the next day, but that’s okay, receptionist was incredibly friendly as were the mechanic staff. Fixed my car that next day for a super reasonable price. I highly recommend these guys.
