I’ve always had good experiences at Tran’s Auto. I used to take my car here when I lived in Milwaukee and always found good and honest service. As girl, I’ve never felt like they were condescending or trying to take advantage of me like I’ve experienced at other places (in fact, I found them after O’Reilly’s Motor downtown had taken me for a fool for the third time). This year, I was home for the holidays and took my car here once again and received the same great service I had in the past.

Listen to those one star reviews. They kept my car for three days and couldn’t do the work. Instead of saying they couldn’t do the work they want to charge for work they didn’t do. Pay attention to crooks like these they only come in areas where they can mistreat people. Your customer is your biggest asset and when you treat people unfairly you lose standards. My problem is they did the work on my vehicle and sent me on my way. When I left my vehicle still had an engine light on and no fuel gauge working. They told me I had no gas to make sure I immediately put gas in. When I put the gas in my engine light came back on, as well as the fuel gauge was still not showing how much gas I had. I called them they said bring it in they would contact me with the details for another part in the morning because there is a sensor that had blown out during installation. They called me saying fuel pump was defective and it would be another two/three days to get it back. I questioned that and he refused to fix the work they did and offered a refund minus fee for looking at the vehicle. Question? When has someone been recharged for work they haven't done? If there was a manufacturer default and they couldn't fix it why not just refund all my money. This was the first and last time I will ever take my vehicle to a place like this. The transaction was done when they couldn't fix the problem. I should have just been refunded my money and sent on my way.

I highly recommend this place. They service my Cadillac Escalade truck for all it's maintenance needs. They are fair w/their pricing. Plus I have found them to be honest, which unfortunately is a rare commodity amount this profession. I just had some work done to which another shop quoted the work at the high end of $800. Trans did it for under $500. PLUS they really do aim to please their customers.

I was visiting friends over the weekend and my SUV started acting up on a Friday night. I live around 3 hours away so I desperately needed to find a shop open on a Saturday that could complete the job. Lucky for me Tran's Auto was open, close by and they were able to complete the job prior to closing. They even went the extra mile to stay open a few minutes longer when I realized my wife had ordered a Lyft to the other Tran's location, which is about 15 minutes away and we wouldn't have arrived by the time they closed otherwise. I would recommend this shop to anyone because they went the extra mile to get me back on the road so I wasn't stuck renting a vehicle and returning during the week to pick up my SUV. 5 stars all day

I got nothing but kudos for these guys. Excellent job done, especially when I took my Toyota Tundra to 2 other places who tried to charge me three times what they did. The fault in my vehicle finally stopped after three years of taking it around different auto shops including Firestone. These guys are not just technicians who just replace parts, they know what they're doing. Yes, in every business you'll find people unsatisfied for different reasons and circumstances, but take a look to the majority of satisfied customers giving the 5 stars rates. I'm recommending a lot of coworkers and friends for the simple fact I trust these guys.

I showed up without an appointment at about 10 am on a Saturday morning. Within three hours, I had all brakes and rotors replaced, a spare tire replaced, and the rim put on. The cost was very reasonable for the services provided and the quality of work. This is my third time having work done at Tran’s Auto Service, and each time the quality of work and reasonable prices help to restore my faith in auto mechanics. I would highly recommend coming here to have your automotive needs met.

First, I want to shout out Mid City Auto Repair for referring me to Tran's Auto Service (they were full of cars to service until the next week; maybe). I made a call to Tran's and they were very informative and welcoming to help me with my car issue (leaking antifreeze; thermostat problem) They told me to come in when ever I could to look at it. I came the same day and the professionalism and look of the establishment was over my expectations. I left my car and in 3-4 hours they were done with the car and I couldn't be more happy with the price they charged for their services. If you bring your vehicle here... know you are leaving it in good hands. Huge plus is the owner has my dream car :)

My serious concern and disappointment regarding the recent service performed on my vehicle at your Trans Auto Service. This place has repaired my vehicle three times May 2025, April 2025 as well as in October 2024 repairs totaling approximately $2,700. After picking up my vehicle on May 5, the next day I noticed grinding noises that were never present before. Concerned, I immediately call trans auto and spoke to the owner; who repaired my vehicle. He told me to bring it in. I returned the following week to have the issue inspected. During your inspection, he informed me that a motor mount was loose and that the control arm on the driver’s side was also loose. This was particularly alarming, given that my vehicle had just been serviced — and that these issues were not mentioned or resolved during any of the three visits. I find it hard to believe that such serious issues would have gone unnoticed through multiple inspections if they had been pre-existing. The timing and new symptoms strongly suggest they are related to or were worsened by the recent service. He was dismissive and short with me. I was not only appalled but very hurt period I thought I had found a very reputable and honest mechanic. He not only disregarded my legitimate concerns but told me that I need to take my vehicle to another repair shop or the dealership. He told me that he is not responsible and that if I wanted the repairs done I would need to pay an additional $1200 in repairs. I am extremely disappointed. I entrusted Trans Auto shop with my vehicle and paid in good faith.
