Owned a lot of BMWs, been to a lot of shops. Twice they suggested repairs I don't think they even verified, because I did and one was easy to see, the other I saw no signs (oil leak) where they said it'd be. Customer service was good, they are knowledgeable, but they don't have your best interests in mind. Took the car to another mechanic, repairs were verified, pricing was much lower and when a larger repair came up, the mechanic told me to sell the car because it was no longer going to be worth the money. There was a lot of stuff wrong with this car, complete lemon. Anyway, decent shop, but I'll always question them going forward so I have to go elsewhere. I don't think they were lying or trying to cheat me, I just think they don't want to spend a lot of time diagnosing.

Brought my car in so they could look for a simple boost leak at first things seemed great when I first talked with Greg but after they had my car for an hour they called me back and quoted me on replacing my valve cover that had a crack in it. That is fine but it seems they totally forgot to look for a boost leak... I then asked if Greg could walk me through what they found on the car and instead they sent some other random from the back this guy proceeded to tell me that my boost look was for sure from my cracked valve cover which is totally false the valve cover never sees direct boost pressure he also said that all my bolt on mods were nothing but problem causers and I should probably revert my car back to stock I reluctantly went along with this because at this point I understand this place was going to be of no help. I paid them for the hour of them staring at my engine bay and got out of there. I have taken my car elsewhere and have had the boost leak addressed without replacing the valve cover. The reason this frustrates me is because they wanted somewhere around 1500 dollars to replace a valve cover without even seeing if my car was still properly holding boost pressures. Why would I want to put in 1500 dollars of work into my car when I was having symptoms of potential turbo failure. They should of just told me they simply needed more time to find the leak or told me they don’t want to work on my car. Instead they tried to pull a fast one. It makes me wonder what they would of said to me when my car would still be having boost issues after they replaced the valve cover? Don’t take your car here especially if you don’t have time to actually look into the work they are quoting you. I’ve had better experiences at a jiffy lube and would also be 120 dollars richer if I hadn’t had brought my car here to be taken advantage of. I hope others have better luck. Update fixed the boost leak myself a clamp on the inter cooler piping had simply slipped off. Definitely confirms my suspicion that not even a simple routine look ever was done.

Great experience from beginning to end. I needed the clutch and flywheel replaced on my E39, and since I dont have a lift DIY was not really practical. Called around to a few different places and was either ignored or flat out told they weren't accepting new customers. Called Ultimate Auto Works and Drew gave me a fair estimate for the job. Dropped my car off Monday morning and had it back Tuesday afternoon. Clutch and shifting are smooth as butter now. Extremely happy that my car is back in action.

I've been a customer of Ultimate Auto Works for over 10 years. I would never take my vehicles any where else. They do excellent work, and are honest about what needs to be done. The owners here seem to be nice, honest people, (which can be hard to find), but they are choosy about the cars they work on. My 2007 BMW 328 has a few different issues, as is to be expected for a 16-year old vehicle with 170,000 on it. After a diagnostic visit, we discussed a major issue with the power steering system that I agreed to fix, but after putting me off twice saying they were "too busy" they essentially told me they don't want to work on the car. In 30 years of owning cars, I've never had a mechanic refuse to do the work. Frustrating and disappointing, to say the least. Plenty of other places in Phoenix will happily do the job. If you've got an older Beemer that needs something more than an easy (and profitable) fix, this isn't the place.

I have had 3 BMWs over two decades and Greg and his crew have serviced them all. I do a lot of the routine servicing myself but, when I get a bigger job, I take it to Greg and his team. They have never let me down. I recently overhauled my 2000 528 and there were a few items I could not resolve. Greg got them all fixed in a couple days, including alignment and the car drives like a new one. The alternator in my wife's X-5 detonated on us and Greg got the job done for $1000 less than the dealer wanted. Great bunch of people and honest service. I cannot endorse them more highly. A true blessing for any BMW owner.

After connecting with a seller for a particular BMW Z3 I was eyeing in the Scottsdale area, I came across Ultimate Auto Works on Yelp. I reached out to see if they would be the right people to perform a PPI, seeing as I would be flying from out of state to purchase the car. From the moment I spoke with Cindy I knew this was the right BMW shop. They were friendly and professional, and quoted me a very reasonable rate for the inspection. They performed a very thorough PPI and presented the car very objectively to me, the results of which painted a more honest picture of the car and provided me significant leverage to negotiate. After coming to a deal on the car, they were the first people I called to have some of the service items addressed. They were quick to provide quotes and schedule the maintenance for the day I’d be in town to buy the car. Fast forward to today, and I finally meet the team in person. They performed the services in great time and prepped the car for my 1100 mile road trip back home. I just completed the first 200 miles and the car is running like a dream! Ultimate Auto Works is a family operation that is run efficiently, fairly, and by people who are BMW enthusiasts to the core. Shops this great are rare- if you’re looking for an honest group of people to work on your BMW, this is it. Rude, discourteous and unprofessional beyond belief! I own a late model BMW and Benz. Today was driving my older SUV (seeking repair quotes) and was briefly stopped with engine running (not parked) in their parking lot when the manager came out and rudely accused me of trespassing and asked me to leave without even asking my purpose. I was pleasant and courteous. He behaved like a jack***. NO justification for the discourtesy and outright nastiness. I would never to business with any company who treats people in this way.

Consistent professionals for as long as I can remember. A friend of mine introduced me to Greg long ago and we did a PPI on my E30 M3. Just a great connection, specialist shop who know these BMW and european autos. I own a european auto parts shop and Ultimate Auto Works I trust with my own cars. Trust them with my 80s/90s Bimmers and my E70 X5 50i Twin Turbo 'Hot V' (these can be finicky!). Was dreading steering rack job—thought it was time—but crew smartly found it wasn’t needed (coolant fix instead), misfire gone (not injector afterall), air springs + oil perfect. Honest pros—5⭐!
