Called them I-64 when my tire blew and I was only able to drive 5 mph to the Pantops exit. They offered to meet me there and help me get to their shop, which I ended up not needing. But they stayed open 1.5 hours beyond their normal operating hours to replace my tires and get me back on the road = very "above & beyond" level of service. I recommend them!

Took my vehicle to get a valve stem and sensor. Went to pick it up and they have unhooked my entire security system now I have to wait until Monday to take it back there. I'm highly disgusted they would be okay with leaving my vehicle like this. Tire pressure is still going low in tire. I do not plan to use there services again once these issues are corrected!

Had a nice experience with this shop. Tried for 3 weeks to buy tires from Costco and could not get anyone to return my call. Walked into University tire, Victor promptly found the type of tire my car requires, gave me several options and rebate offers and got me scheduled for install the following day. Dropped my car off at 8am and by noon 4 tires were replaced, state inspection completed, and tire rotation. Really impressed with the speedy service!

I called on Friday 27 June to schedule an appointment to have tires mounted and balanced, an alignment, and an oil change on my truck prior to a trip I had coming up. The person on the phone said they could do it that following Tuesday. I said great, I will drop it off in the morning. When I arrived there Tuesday morning I was told they may not be able to get it done by the end of the day. I said I had called for an appointment on the previous Friday. I was then told I was not on the schedule and that they still had work from the day before to complete. This is the third issue I have had with University Tire over the last few years. Number 1: my drivers side front brake was dragging. They told me I had to put a new caliper on. It ended up just needing a new flexible brake line. Number 2: I brought my car in for an oil change. They did not rotate the tires, which was part of the advertised service. I knew they didn’t rotate them because I had one plugged and it was still in the same position as it was when I dropped the car off. Number 3: the most recent issue. I realize mistakes can happen but these aren’t “mistakes”. The first problem was a failure to diagnose. When I got home I disconnected the flexible brake line from the hard line then tried to compress the caliper. It failed to compress. I then disconnected the flexible line from the caliper and the caliper compressed. That told me the line was the issue not the caliper. Big cost difference there and just replacing the caliper wouldn’t have fixed the issue. Not rotating the tires was just neglect. Not putting me on the schedule when I called for an appointment is just poor customer service. I didn’t write this negative review lightly. These aren’t just “mistakes” but a pattern of poor customer service.

Quick and easy, stopped by for a State Inspection on a 10 year old Audi TDI Q7 and was, frankly, pleasantly surprised to walk away with only needing to replace 1 windshield wiper! No attempts to upsell tires, brakes, lights, or anything else!

Incredible experience! From the beginning as I sent emails asking for quotes on tires, the responses were quick and detailed. Adam was so helpful, kind, and informative. He offered great guidance in helping me decide on the tires. When I dropped off my vehicle to get the services I opted for, I received a call from Brandon and he was the same.....so helpful, kind and informative. There were some issues that were found with my car that needed attention (brake fluid, battery, etc.) and he explained all of them without any pressure at all for me to have these corrected while they had my car. I did not feel as though I was being hassled to do any of the suggested replacements (I did go ahead with some of them). He took time when I picked up the car to answer questions I had about my upcoming inspection as well. I was very pleased with the service I received and will recommend University Tire and Auto to others as well as continue using them for myself in the future (although I hope not to have car issues anytime soon).

Easy to schedule service. Very quick turn around. Most importantly honest and don't try to sell you things you don't need or want.

My teenage son had a flat tire and luckily we were in the area and because of the run flat tires we were able to get to the shop. Everybody was so helpful, friendly, gave input on multiple tire options, and it was ready the next day. I’m glad to know that there is a location in Crozet, and the warranty is terrific!

I’ve used University Tire for business and for personal vehicles for decades. They do good work, are trusted, and had me in and out quickly with walk in, same day service. Highly recommend.

I was able to place my tire order and schedule an appointment online. Upon arrival to the shop, I was greeted by Victor who was very friendly and able to get me checked-in. Having 4 tires replaced, an alignment, and full synthetic oil change, I was going to be there a while. Luckily, the shop wasn't busy, and Victor and Andy provided great company to pass the time. I witnessed customers come and go, and both Victor and Andy presented very accommodating toward last minute walk-ins and were very knowledgeable answering questions and providing feedback (even if it wasn't a desirable outcome for the customer). I felt that they were honest and reliable, and I will definitely return!

It started with a squeaky belt on my 2015 Nissan Xterra. I needed an oil change, inspection and asked for a new belt. It was done and I drove it home. The next time I started the car, one I don't use very often, the belt popped off. I had it towed back in and the belt was put back on. I noticed the next time I drove it that the belt still squeaked. Having other vehicles to drive, this one sat for a while. When I did need to drive it again, the squeaking was still there. As a quick "fix" I sprayed some belt dressing on the belt; still squeaking. I eventually got around to taking it back in and was told the problem was a leaking power steering hose: $600+. Ok, you probably guessed that there was no leaking power steering fluid, that it was the belt dressing that was on the belt; that is shame on me for being suckered into an unnecessary repair. But that's what happened. When I paid and drove it home, you guessed right again; it still squeaked. I took it back in and the answer was, must be the belt tensioner: $300+. Must be? Are you sure? No. I went on Amazon, ordered the $29 part and after watching a You Tube video and scraping a few knuckles, the part was on; still squeaking. So I shined the flashlight and looked; the idler pully was frozen. The $30 part is on the way and every other fix was probably unnecessary (ok, probably a good idea to have replaced the belt to begin with) and University Tire is a bit better off. But what you expect from a reliable auto service center is honest and professional advice and service. You decide whether that was the case here.

This service is one of the worst services in America. The management is terrible and does nothing, disrespects the customers and tries to make fools othem and charge more than the cost of certain things. They steal money from customers. It's a pity that there are no inspections in America to call them and check what they are doing. I hope they won't be in business much longer, I would like to start a petition to shut this company down because we don't need a company like this in our city that tries to steal your money in every way possible. This tire was purchased on January 2, 24. The tire exploded on January 13, 24. University tire does not accept claims for rotten tires sold. And they try to convince me that the tire was OK. Once again, I appeal to everyone to avoid this shameful service and their services. This company needs to be shut down and kicked out of Virginia as a matter of urgency.

Had to order tires. Arrived next day as expected, and scheduled appointment. Had to wait a bit longer than expected. Seemed to be understaffed. Installation completed all appeared good. Ride seemed to be off, so checked air pressure. All tires were over inflated by 10-12 pounds. Installer did not check pressure once completed. Disappointing.

I cannot honestly say enough good things about this company! They are so friendly and professional that I just refuse to have my car serviced anywhere else and I live 60 miles away from this shop! I’m an old man and one thing I’ve learned in life if you have a good mechanic, you better stay with them! Thank you so much University tire and auto for all that you do for me man. I appreciate you guys. My car is almost antique, and look! Still runs like new!

Great process, great service, and a great team. Always satisfied with these folks. Couldn’t be happier with my new tires. A much better price than the Toyota dealership. Highly recommend.

I had an emergency blown out tire and was able to get my car towed just barely in time to give them the minimum amount of time to replace it before I had to catch my ride to the train station for a 2 week trip. They were understanding and as patient as possible with my stress out! They kept me informed of the progress, they had to get a tire delivered, and charged me a fair price as if it wasn’t an emergency. It was done 15 min earlier than I requested.

Was instructed to drop off my car after closing and they would have it ready before 11am and I got the call before 10am to pick it up. Super pleased as my Inspection was already over a month expired. Got an oil change too. Have been using them for years and always got good results.

I experienced outstanding customer service this past week. My car was due for an inspection. This is always a daunting task because I live alone and getting rides to and from is difficult. Pantops employees made sure that was taken care of. My inspection was done in a very timely manner and the service provided was excellent. My new go to car care center. Thank you guys!
