I been going to them for 10 years now for my 1980 Mercedes. Over all the work has been pretty good. They sometimes don't get it right the first time, but they do follow up and will not charge me again for additional work on a job that is already paid for. There head mechanic is very good. This place is not cheap, but then on the upper East Side nothing is cheap!

As soon as I walked in the door I knew I was in the right place. I called ahead and spoke to Karen. She was very kind. I only called to see if it was a good time to come in for an inspection. Instantly I noticed the clean and professional shop. Andy, one of the bosses there, is also a very kind person and knowledgeable about cara. These are honest hardworking people and I will absolutely return for service.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t bring your car here if you care about your car. If you do I at least hope you stay there to check the work being done. They will charge you the price of oem dealer parts and will go buy cheap parts to put in your car. They act all nice and sweet as if they care about their customers but it’s just a front. Do not trust them. I wish I could warn everybody walking into that shop. They’re are liars and not professional at all. That place does not deserve to stay in business. I wish I never took my car to this place.

I was a loyal client of Uptown motors on the UES for over 15 years. They took care of my 1999 Volvo which lasted over 16 years with their help and was sorry to see that they had closed the location. I recently re-connected with them at their new location in the Bronx, and their service continues to be great. They pick up the car at my garage, do what needs to get done quickly, perfectly and with the best prices, and return it back ready to go. I don't know what I'd do without them! Definitely recommend.

I wanted full synthetic oil for my new car's first oil change, and I found Uptown Motors through a google search and Groupon. Karen and Andy are a husband and wife team. Karen is the gracious "front of house" customer service person, and Andy is the expert in the garage. The distributor messed the order up slightly, but Karen and Andy did their best to accommodate me. Richard, who did the oil change, was friendly and very knowledgeable. The shop is easy to get to in the Bronx, but it turns out they also offer pick-up and return for free, so I'll be using that next time. The prices are reasonable. The service and convenience set them apart. I'm glad I found them.

I found this place a couple of years ago while looking for a discounted oil change on groupon. Needless to say, I've stayed with them since. Andy, Richard, and Karen are very amicable and pleasant to talk to, they've been nothing but helpful regarding my old car and all it's repairs. I've gone to them for issues ranging from a simple oil change to replacing my water pump and faulty sensors, they've offered a great service at a fair price. They've even provided me with a tow once due to a dead battery and starter motor. Yep, I've got an old car, but with repairs and advice from Andy and Richard I've kept my old girl in fighting shape.

I know very little about the mechanics of my car, and to be honest as a woman I am concerned about being ripped off at a mechanic. Leaving 4 stars to support a local business... Oil change for my 2000 Toyota 4-Runner was $125.00. Removal of a rusted bracket beneath the car, some fixes to the power steering fluid tubing, drilling a new hole and reaffixing the battery's bracket, and checking on the driving shaft and muffler (nothing visibly wrong) brought the total with the oil change etc to roughly $360.00.

This is my third or fourth time patronizing Uptown Motors NYC and each time I’m a satisfied customer. The customer service with management when inquiring is top notch and once your vehicle is actually in their possession, the service is unmatched. I bought my vehicle in around 10am for brake pad replacements. The mechanic Richard was available right away, informative and helpful with any questions or concerns I had. Richard handled my work with care and in no time. By 3pm my car was serviced and I was back home. Anytime I go to Uptown Motors I never feel like I’m being taken advantage of and it’s why will continue to use them and recommend the company to others. The prices are fair and the service, as far as I’ve seen is great.
