This auto shop is 100% recommended, I loved my experience with Universe, I am so glad my Insurance company assigned them to repair the damages on my car, FRANK ! made sure my car was picked up after being victim of vandalism, this occurred over the weekend as soon as he received my information he reached out to me and made sure to get my car was picked up immediately so that no further damages were made. It took them less than a week to return my vehicle which is amazing ! Everyone was very helpful and extremely nice to me everyone starting from the front desk secretary to the towing crew, they kept me updated throughout the entire process. I mean I had a great experience and I will always go back to them in the future. They have gained a new customer forever grateful 🙏 Thanks FRANK and the entire Universe crew !

Where do you find a body shop these days that will go out of their way to help after your car has been totaled and is just waiting to be salvaged? This shop did exactly that. My Cadillac was severely damaged, and I stopped by to retrieve a few personal belongings from the trunk. Because of the impact, the fuse box was destroyed, and nothing power-operated would work — including the trunk and glove box. The key didn’t help either. Despite the challenges, the staff didn’t hesitate to jump in. They stopped what they were doing and spent over an hour trying different methods — removing the backseat, checking fuse access, and more — until they finally got the trunk open so I could get my things. They didn’t have to do any of that, but they did it with patience and professionalism. If this is the level of care they show for a totaled vehicle, I can only imagine the quality of their actual repair work. Highly recommend this place — true professionals with heart.

After a rear end accident Geico referred us to Universal auto body. The best thing that Geico has ever done. Lisa from the very beginning was on point with all her answers. I was annoyed by the whole situation and she made it easy not only for me but for my husband who clearly cannot live life without his car! She even went above and beyond by getting the car rental to pick us up and bring us to the rental office. And yes I have to say John was very helpful and super nice but Lisa is the best! Please please please don’t let her go Universal! We need more Lisa’s in this world! And by the way idk what kind of magic or luck they have but they were able to get the back piece of a Hyundai Palisade 2024 in less then 3 wks! Not sure how they did that since the Hyundai dealers do NOT even have such luck they usually take 2 months for 1 piece. But Universal Auto Body accomplished the task! Yes I’m still in shock. But thankful we were referred to them. Lisa thank you so much!

I only had my car 6 days before this speeding and unpleasant woman tore up the front of my car. It was annoying and I was in my feelings until I brought my car to Universe auto body and met Lisa. Her great energy and knowledge of what steps I needed to take for this process brought me ease. She answered the phone when I called with the same good and informative energy. I never felt worried about the work and when I finally came to get my car, it felt newer and beautiful before I purchased it. She was thorough, pleasant and swift. I had an outstanding experience at Universe Auto Body Center at 1825 Givan Ave. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional. I came in for broken glass recommended from Geico, and they took care of it quickly and efficiently. What really impressed me was how the owner Frank personally took the time to explain the damage and how everything works. It’s not often you find a business where the owner is that involved and genuinely cares about making sure you understand the process. The technicians are clearly experts, and the front desk made sure to keep me informed throughout the process. They also gave me a clear breakdown of the necessary repairs, were upfront about the costs, and didn't push any unnecessary services. On top of that, they even cleaned my car, which was an unexpected and much appreciated touch. I left feeling confident in my car’s condition. I’m still in awe in the best possible way. I’ve been a NYC driver for over 20 years and have had a fair share of accidents resulting in repair work. Never have I had a perfectly seamless and FAST EXPERIENCE. But here? It was exceptionally professional, clear and direct regarding pricing and payment, and they communicated efficiently with the insurance company. Frank and Lisa are wonderful people - friendly, helpful and truly good at what they do- servicing people in a high quality and swift manner. I dropped my car off on Monday and I picked it up on Tuesday for bumper replacement and a paint job. This was made possible because they COMMUNICATED in advance and gave me the option to drop my driveable car off when they received the replacement part. I so appreciate this. Plus they have a great relationship with Enterprise and it was warm handoffs all around. Got my car back in time for the holiday. I’m so impressed and grateful. Thank you for not taking advantage of me and doing great work. I will be recommending to everyone I know.
