We had been in the market for a new mechanic after less than good experiences with several others in town. The glowing Google reviews led me to Simply Smog and Valencia Auto Performance. In the past two days we have had to have two of our cars in for service. The first was my Toyota Camry at 123,000 miles. I had no idea what needed to be done as my service book was full. Matthew at the front desk assured me that they would check everything and let me know, but would definitely give me an oil change. Within an hour Matthew had called me to say that I needed my brake fluid and coolant replaced. When I asked him how he knew, he said because the dirty fluids had told them. I gave Matthew the go ahead. That evening when I drove my car home, I was surprised at how well it ran, and I was excited to have my husband drive it as I never can tell the difference after a service. Today we dropped our daughter's Subaru Outback off. She was overdue for her service and the brakes were juddering. I got a call from Matthew that both her front and rear brakes needed to be replaced. It was more than she wanted to spend, but it was half the price of the last time they were done. I gave Matthew the go ahead again. After lunch, I received a call from Matthew that the car was ready. My husband and I went to pick it up. While we were settling up with Matthew, Sam came in and led me to the garage. He wanted me to see what the old brake pads looked like! They were almost gone! My husband, and Matthew, joined us and Sam showed him the pads, as well, and then showed us how dirty the air filter was that they had to replace. He dropped it on the (clean!) floor to show us the amount of dirt that came out, and flew up into the air! As well as small pieces of rock. Sam then explained to us how they do their work. He said that when you get an oil change there, they check everything: fluid levels air pressures, grease applications, you name it. And when they replace fluids, they draw them through, and aren't finished until the fluid runs clear. This is what I call service! As we were saying our goodbyes and leaving, Sam said, "Thank you for your business!" Sam, thank you for your care and attention! We will never go anywhere else! Everyone is so kind, too! And to top it off, they have a living room, with several couches and coffee table, a big television, coffee maker. I've never experienced such comfort while waiting for a car. I forgot to mention that the day before my two appointments, I had to come for a smog test so that I could renew my registration That Day! What a wonderful find! I highly recommend Simply Smog and Valencia Auto Performance! My husband was over the moon with how the Outback ran, as well. Everything was improved.

The owner/master mechanic, Sam, is the very personification of integrity, honesty, and professionalism. We take all of our vehicles to him and his team of expert mechanics, and we have never been disappointed. Whether you need routine maintenance or major engine work, this is your place! Case in point: this week, my wife's Sequoia broke down in the middle of peak traffic. We had it towed to Sam and his team, and they were able to expertly diagnose the issue in a most expedient way. They remedied the issue at no cost, since the part in question was still under warranty. Imagine that! Truly remarkable service experience!

I arrived and was greeted promptly with a smile and after going over paperwork I was seated in their nicely air conditioned waiting room. The waiting room has water and coffee and wifi with a tv. They took my car in and tested it while I waited and it passed. All went well, and I renewed my registration when I got home with no issues.

Got here at 10:05 for an appointment at 10 was running a little late, the first front desk lady was very nice she had orange hair and applied a discount for me and explained what I was here for just a regular car service so that was good and the only reason I added another star. But they wanted to replace my air filters so I was hesitant but agreed to. And then a little after about 20 minutes later the owner (it looked like it) came into the waiting room asking for MY car model and I said yes he said these other two air filters are dirty. Which confused me because I don’t know much about cars but I was sure there were only 2. It just seemed like he wanted to charge me more for the service than what I originally came for. I went and asked to see where each filter was and then they switched the story and said that was for an owner of another car. And my car less than a year owned and they told me my car battery already needs to be replaced because it died when they tried to start it up and they had to jump it. I have been driving this car everyday Its super odd that it just happens to break down when they suddenly drive it. Which I actually saw them drive it off without having to do any of that. Overall disappointed to come here and feel like they’re trying to cheat me out of my money just because I’m a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars. Take your money somewhere else that can tell you exactly whats wrong with your car and why.

Needed a smog check and this is the only place I will go. I’ve been a loyal customer for years. The place is immaculate and the work they do is fair and honest. This place is so well run. I called in the morning, they booked for that same day, got an estimate in about an hour (several items to be done), Picked up the car a few hours later when they said they would call. Customer service was excellent, polite, thorough, and professional; asking all the right questions. They completed the work when they said they would, for a couple bucks less than the estimate and I could not be happier.
