Went in for an oil change. Left the Oil Cap off and oil spilt everywhere. Also didn’t check the anti freeze. They tried to sell me a new battery saying mine was bad but I just replaced mine a year ago, went into auto one and they told me my battery was fine. Been going to this location for nearly a decade and I’ve never had a problem but I guess the new staff worker are taking a toll on this company’s reputation.

I have been loyal customer for this valvoline and im not usually one to leave an establishment a bad review based upon one scathing experience. However, my most recent trip here was so horrible that I feel the need to warn others of the potentially cruel and dishonest treatment that might await them if they frequent this Valvoline. When I arrived the woman in the bay attempted to service the man behind me despite the fact that I was clearly next. For this she was scolded by her co-worker. When both me and the man behind me finally maneuvered back into the proper order, the woman proceeded to be extremely rude to me. She yelled, made faces, spoke condescendingly. When I showed her a coupon I had on my phone, she proceeded to scan it, after which she told me I had a massive oil leak and on this basis, she refused to give me an oil change. Rather she said I should go to a mechanic, which I did. After I paid him a not insubstantial sum of money, he let me know that I did not have any oil leak whatsoever, much less a massive one. Furthermore, he told me that if I had had an oil leak, the best thing for it would be an oil change. So I lost both my coupon and the money I wasted diagnosing the non-issue that this supremely unhelpful woman said I had to address. I still need an oil change, but now I'm confused, embarrassed, and angry. I have no idea why she treated me this way. If Valvoline tolerates treatment of its customers like this, they should not receives any of our business.

This was my first time ever doing an instant oil change of any kind. I was super impressed with the Quincy location and will definitely be coming back! The team was extremely friendly and informative, and they were communicating with each other excellently. They all seemed to be enjoying their jobs and their co-workers, while keeping things really professional and helpful. It was a quick process and I didn't feel pressured to purchase anything. I wish everywhere was as efficient as this team. Also a shout-out to Juju who made sure to wish us a nice day upon exit! I don't normally leave a lot of reviews, and I certainly don't expect to do so when I'm getting my oil changed, but it was a way better experience than I was anticipating.

I've been coming here a long time. The last time the service was terrible. Every time I have come for an oil change they always do a general safety check (lights, filters, tire pressure etc...). None of that was done. I had my wife's car so I asked politely to have the safety check done. The staff said no problem then did nothing. Meanwhile another staff member sas dðplaying video games on their phone right next to my car. I also received a sticker with incorrect mileage that would have had my wife thinking she needed another $120+ oil change, 1,000 miles before needed. I pointed this out to staff and then was given a sticker that was 1,000 miles after the next oil change would be needed. Staff generally came off like they didn't care about their job. I will not be coming back to this location and would not recommend to others.

Very friendly, informed me about what i might need for my truck but no pressure to buy anything other than what I came in for. My truck takes a special synthetic oil and they catty it. This place is pretty great. This is the first automotive place where you're allowed to stay in the car when the services are happening. We came for an oil change, and they showed us every NEW ITEM that was being added. During the inspection, they showed us the air filter and how DIRTY it was. The transparency is WONDERFUL! Better than all the big companies like Toyota or Ford where they just tell you without evidence.

BEWARE! Feel obligated to warn future customers! Been to a few of these Valvoline locations including Quincy and Braintree. Wouldn't trust any ever again and definitely wouldn't trust any locations where Shaun is the area manager! After professionals claim negligence on Valvoline's end caused $13k in damages, Shaun boastfully dared my service manager for me to take him to court because he "wins these cases all the time!" Funnily enough, Shaun only calls me on recorded lines but calls the service manager from other (personal?) phone numbers. Service manager and mechanics discovered this leak is supposedly responsible for the damages which Valvoline likely caused and DEFINITELY missed after they changed the oil! We brought the car back after discovering leaking oil and they told us it was fine! Valvoline Social Media team, don't bother responding. The Judge, Jury, and Executioner (Shaun) already made the final decision and closed the claim on his own. Didn't provide any evidence, paperwork, or answer my questions. He told me not to call. Shaun needs a raise from Valvoline. Delay. Deny. Defend.

NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. A complete joke. Brought my car in for a standard oil change prior to driving to NH from MA. The reason I got an oil change before my trip was to avoid something like this from happening since I was due for an oil change. Valvoline took no responsibility. No refund. Just excuses. No empathy for the inconvenience of having to tow my car from NH to MA at 11pm!!! Please do not waste your time or trust this place, unless you want problems. Total scam.
