The guys there were great. I wish I got their names but they were able to help me with all my concerns and went above and beyond to make sure my car was good. I would definitely recommend this location to any women who aren’t familiar with cars and don’t have men available for advice. I never felt taken advantage of or felt like I was being upsaled. It always felt like a genuine concern for my car and overall care for its safety. Great team!

I I went in for an oil and filter change on my diesel truck, and one of the employees came over with a container to pour the oil, but spilled a large amount on the engine. Then, because he didn't have enough oil, he grabbed one of the unlabeled hoses that pumped the oil and filled the rest of the tank with that! They didn't even put the sticker on my windshield, and when I spoke to the manager, all he said was "I'm sorry." I will never go back to this place for an oil change again because they have untrained and completely careless employees who don't do their job properly.

We are new to Texas from California. Back home we always went to our local Valvoline shop for our oil changes and never had any issues. Our visit on 1/3/26 was pretty different here. From the time we drove into the waiting area and the time we pulled out of the bay was over an hour. There was one car in front of us who seemed to be having some issues. The line to the left had two cars pass through and be finished before we were directed to pull into the bay. The employees were friendly and although they were trying to upsell us on a few things we didn’t feel like they were pushy or bothered when we declined the service they were offering. One service was the engine air filter. It was dirty but we do our own. It was a good reminder that I needed to take care of that. I ordered the size I needed on Amazon and received it the next day. Here’s my issue with this shop. When I went under the hood to do the engine filter replacement I noticed one of the four screws was missing. I know it was there before because the screw port was much cleaner, indicating it was there before our visit. Why would your employee not mention it or replace it with a like screw? Seems sneaky. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the wiper fluid cap was not properly pushed back on. This brings up great concern for the quality of work at this location. We will not be coming back to this spot.

What should have been a 15 minute oil change ended up taking over an hour. Went there 12/29/2025. They start my service, go through the normal procedures and after about 15 minutes, the service tech rings me up and I pay. He tells me it will be a few more minutes. Another 15 minutes go by, as I watch other customers come and go, I notice the service techs talking in front of my car but not doing any work. I catch one of the service techs and ask if there's a problem and he says "oh didn't they tell you?". Turns out they took my car apart without having the replacement parts and had to send someone to the autoparts store. Seeing as though I was on a schedule, I would have come back at another time had I known. I expressed my frustrations to the tech and got a "my bad". The part they finally recieved was the wrong part so I had to wait another 30 minutes. I asked to speak to the manager Kody, who was apparently too busy to address it, so I spoke to his 2nd. He apologized again and offered to take 20 dollars off, which one, is no different than the many coupons I get through email. And two, I was already charged. They gave me more coupons as if that was fair compensation but seeing as I have no intentions of ever going back to that place, it was meaningless.

Great experience this afternoon at this Allen location getting an oil change and a couple other things - they know how to do and handle big trucks, newer trucks too (I have a 2020 F-150) - they were professional, kind, efficient, communicated things well with the oil change and/or other car needs - even with it being packed and busy this afternoon, they moved us all along quickly and nicely... still was under an hour even with the wait and how busy it was today. They made me feel comfortable and safe and were just very sweet :). Thanks for the oil change - my truck was in desperate need of one and overdue and y'all fixed me right up! :)

I needed an Oil change but didn't get off work till 6:00pm. I rushed here knowing it sucks having someone show up 15 min before you close. They had already cleaned up the shop. Nevertheless, the staff was 100% professional! I need to acknowledge Antwane personally. He was knowledgeable and courteous. He recommended optional services that I know my car needs, I just cant afford them at the moment. He was also understanding and empathetic. Its my second time coming to this Valvoline, and I will continue to come here for my vehicle maintenance needs because of staff members like Antwane.

I seriously cannot say enough great things about this Valvoline location! Antwane, Devnn, and Blake were super friendly, beyond helpful, and made getting my transmission and radiator fluid changed so easy. In the middle of all this my battery ended up dying, and they didn’t even hesitate, they all jumped in to help, and the manager even drove to another location to grab the exact battery I needed all within my lunch break! They went literally above and beyond to make sure my truck was taken care of. The service, the kindness, the teamwork is seriously amazing. I’m a customer for life and won’t go anywhere else because these guys are the best! 😊🙌

This is the first time at this location but I only use valvoline when in need of oil change because the guys are typically knowledgeable, respectful, kind, and fast. This trip was no different! It was pretty busy at this location so I waited a while but the team was good with keeping our place in line even if they had to move us to different bays. Justin helped me with my service and even with my savings! I did not spend an arm and leg but he still offered a coupon. I always have good experiences with this company and this time just added to it! Thank you!🤝👏🏽

Ive taken my truck to get my oil changed twice, both times they didn't have the oil for my truck. Had to return after they ordered the oil, no problem. The issue is both times they did not adequately tighten my oil filter, which causes the truck to show an oil pressue issue. Happens one time, ok...but again?

When I pulled into the bay I asked for an oil & filter change - only. After 15 minutes of banging and shaking my vehicle and people leaning down under my vehicle to talk to the guy in the pit, I asked what the problem was and what was he doing? "New guy" I was told. How can you not know where the drain plug in the oil pan is? It's not that difficult to find. And what was all the banging and shaking about? I then watched as they hunted around for where the oil filter was located and finally had to point out where it was for them. I then watched as they couldn't seem to put the oil filler cap back in place. It took 2 people to figure out how to put it back after I offered to do it myself. It's a very simple procedure - insert and twist. For some reason, everything seemed to be funny to the employees. Finally one of the employees then closed the hood, hollers "good to go" & waves me out the door. At this point, this simple oil change took 40 minutes and cost $121; and, other than the first 10 minutes, I was the only vehicle there. As I pulled out on the street, I realized they hadn't given me a receipt so I drove back and when I asked for a receipt I was told "No, we emailed you the receipt". I told him they didn't have my email address. So then he told me their printer was broken but I could go in & take a picture of their screen. So, wearing a walking boot because of an injury to my foot, I walked in to take the picture. When I got home, I figured I better make sure they had put the cap back in properly. When I lifted the hood I found oil splattered all over the engine compartment & doodles drawn in some dirt on the engine cover. There was also oil dripping onto the pavement. They did manage to put the filler cap back on correctly. This was a completely unprofessional and incompetent operation.

If I could give absolutely no stars I would. Today all I wanted to do is get my inspection done. I pull up to the inspection line and a guy says it will be about 15-20 minutes till he’s done. I waited an hour and 45 minutes and still don’t get my inspection done. I got out ask asked what was going on. Another guy said, “all of these cars currently are transmission fixes and it will be about another 30-40 minutes.” I was livid that the first guy lied to me. I went back to my car and told the other three cars behind me what that guy said and proceeded to leave. They lost four customers today. I won’t be going back and would encourage others to find a better location to service you where you are not lied to. Waisted time

I have or use to have a 2019 Chevy Silverado that I took in just for a oil change and ended up with what started as a oil change to cabin filter and filter under the hood and also rear diff fluid change first I was told the service was going to be only 100+ dollars but then once the work was done it went from 100+ to 280. And I did agree to the service because I never had a problem with their service prior before recent. When I got back back my truck went down due to the battery. So my truck basically sat up for two months. Once I got the battery I drove my truck for maybe a month and my truck started acting up. So then I had my truck towed to mechanic shop and they told me there was no rear diff fluids. So I went up there and talk to the assistant manager and I was told they would get back with me. So my pinion in the rear end broke. So they said that it wasn't there fault but I had no issues with this before this. My truck has been sitting in the shop for about four days and it took me to reach out to customer service to get a response from Valvoline to finally reach back out to me which they said they wouldn't accept fault because of how many miles had been driven since. It would cost me 7,500 to get my rear end fixed. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE THERE VEHICLE THERE!!! Had I read the reviews about this location i wouldn't have chosen the service. This is the only place I took my truck to have service done and now I'm without a vehicle to drive. I didn't believe in reviews before this but people please be aware of where you go to have service done or you could end up in my situation
