If you're looking for a place that's going to honestly tell you what needs fixed and what doesn't, this is the place. I got a $4k+ quote from the dealership for several issues and Vu fixed them all for $1,400 including one that the dealership had diagnosed incorrectly. Can't recommend this place enough!

I have been to Vu’s car repair twice for my 2003 Ford Focus Station Wagon. Whereas Ford had trouble getting parts for my “obsolete” vehicle, Vu seemed to have no such issues. He repaired my car quickly and at a fair price. As long as I keep my car I will be going to Vu’s. I recommend him highly.

I have never trusted garage mechanics because I've been screwed and lied to many times (looking at you Les Schwab, middle finger). I'm not saying all are bad, but several have taken advantage of me. I'm not a car person. For decades I paid a friend to work on mine, but he is moving out of state and no longer available. A friend went to Vu's on a recommendation who had glowing things to say. Also, searching Reddit for mechanics, I found many people also recommending this place. I needed some basic maintenance done, but didn't have the proper tools, or confidence really. I called about 5 places, and not only was Vu's the cheapest, but he said he just had a cancelation that morning, and if I can come in within an hour, he could get my truck done. His quote was $50 cheaper than the others, and he said the work could be done in 1 hour. It took 45 minutes. I asked for the old parts to make sure everything was replaced. As mentioned, I've had mechanics lie to me. My first experience was very good. Affordable, he squeezed me in to the fully booked week, was attentive and very friendly. He didn't try to sell me anything. Just did the work I asked for. That is exactly the experience I want. I plan to come back.

Vu is straightforward, and I never felt like he has tried to sell me on something that doesn't need to be done. Loyal customer for 4 years now. But be warned, he is always busy, so you probably won't get your car worked on same day unless it's oil change at 8am.

I contacted Via for information and was told they'd get a hold of a specialty mechanic for my cars problem and call me back asap and I never received one back. I had heard such good things and was excited to use their services, but was extremely let down and personally wouldn't recommend.

Vu is the best mechanic I've had anywhere. His estimate is always accurate and less expensive than other places, and his work is superior. He knows EVERYTHING about cars, takes time to explain how things work and how to save money and care for your car, and treats you like you're family. He will never charge you for work that doesn't need to be done and does the work quickly but always thoroughly. He's busy because he's so great, so I recommend calling ahead. As a woman, I especially trust him and like that he's never condescending and doesn't speak to me any differently than he does to his male customers. We've gone to him when we need a mechanic for over 5 years now and will never go anywhere else! He is very affordable and understands when you are on a small budget. Thank you Vu!

I had an issue with the brake lights that was beyond the scope of what I could do. I had my right brake lights non responsive to the pedal. I scheduled an appointment with him and took it in early in the morning a week later. He was finished in about an hour and a half. Was extremely quick and efficient, cleaned corrosion off my wires and all systems are go. Pricing was really cheap too from what I was expecting. This guy is awesome! Quick, efficient, professional. If I ever have other car issues while I’m here. I’m definitely taking my car back to him! Thank you, Vu!

Based off of my experience alone, I do not feel that he is a knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic. I paid for a pre-purchase inspection and he didn’t even drive the vehicle. In addition to that, there were multiple things that were missed on the inspection that ended up costing me severely. Even things as basic as a coolant leak. Also, he authorized charges without my consent and proceeded to charge me for them. I would not recommend using this shop if you care about the health of your vehicle.

Very happy with how seamless and efficient the process was! I had been quoted $2.5k at the dealer for all kinds of unnecessary work (including resurfacing all rotors and replacing the water pump). Turns out I only needed front brakes done and it was more affordable to replace the rotors. Really happy with how transparent, and quick the work was. Highly recommend!
