He tried to sell me synthetic and said my car required it, which wasn't true. Had to show him the owners manual. Then they put in 5w 20 when my car requires 5w 30. Had to drain and replace. Two hour experience. Sticker on my car said to come back after 111k miles. Car has 28k. Wont be coming back at any mileage. Might end up going to brakes plus just to be safe. Waste of $30

I had an 8am appointment here to put my tires on. I got here at 7:55 am, and was told that the lady to check me in was not here and that they didn’t know where she was. No one would check me in. She got here at around 8:15am and checked me in, said it’s should be around an hour and that I was the first person up. I show up at 9:30 to ask for an ETA on the car, and they told me it hasn’t even started yet. Apparently my appointment (which I confirmed with the first lady I spoke with) was somehow cancelled in the system. My tires were not done until 12pm. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I called up to make an appointment to have tires fitted, they said they weren't busy so I could come straight in if I wanted. So I did, only to be told they can still sell me tires but they are now too busy to fit them. Assuming I'd pay while they hold the tires and set me up with an appointment to fit them another day, I continued with the transaction. After buying the tires, it took 25 minutes for the guy to go get them off the shelf (and got charged an extra fee for this somehow). When they told me they couldn't hold the tires and I had to take them with me and bring them back to be fitted, I was glad they didn't offer to make an appointment as I have no intention of going back. Absolutely useless.

These guys just take forever to do everything. I understand that they are busy, but don't tell customers an hour or so when it will really take 3 plus hours. I also ordered a tire online to be delivered to this store and it sat there for 4 days before I went in and basically forced them to enter it into their system. I had paid for the tire online and all I had to do was pick it up. That took over 20 minutes. PS I think this Courtney girl below my review, who gave 5 stars works there.

This has been my local Walmart for a number of years. Years ago, I even ordered in some tires there and had them install them. It's been years since the auto care side has been usable. More recently, they quoted me something like $132 to mount and balance four tires. Last week, I made the mistake of trying them again. They were long gone and locked up, about an hour and fifteen minutes before the closing time indicated by Google.

Literally nobody will answer the phone to tell you availability/waits. I’ve regularly watched them ignore calls over 3+ years while waiting for service and they answer <10% of the time if I call in to see if busy/what is available.

I had 2 headlights replaced. I was in/out in an hour, even though there were 3 cars ahead of me. I thought I also needed a parking light but my tech said it was still working. He could have just replaced it…but his honesty and attentiveness is a rare quality these days. I’d give this Auto Center 10 stars if I could! Thanks Walmart Auto Center.

Absolutely the worst auto care center. Has happen before but was told my car would take 3 hours and stayed until close so ended up waiting 8 hours! No phone call nothing. Went up to ask and was just told I’m in the queue. Told management and they just brushed me away more or less didn’t offer anything what so ever for wasting my entire day

Was in the shop for 4 new tires. I get a call later on the day after dropping my car off, saying one of my tires is over torqued and will not be taken off. After collecting my car with 3 of the 4 wheels changes, I decided to head over to Discount Tires and see if they could loosen up the lugs on the “over torqued tire.” Turns out, they used the wrong socket for my tires which left one lug completely rounded which I had to pay for on my own since they did not have the piece. The discount tires gentlemen had no trouble at all removing the lugs at all. Plan on never going back to this Walmart.

The wait was 2 hours which I was fine with but seeing people leave who came after me whom received the same service as me. I had asked where was my car, and she said it just started it was on the other side. After, not seeing it still for those extra 30-40 minutes on top of the 2 hr wait with my kids. I asked again, then went outside to see my car to hear another person say it had finished an hour ago.(they don’t communicate as a team) Then, I went to a different Walmart because my tire light was still on, the tire they fixed was over 10 for my tire pressure.

I was struggling to find a place to get my oil changed. The first Walmart (hampden) I went to said they were full and the day before that closed @4. So I would recommend there too busy. So then I go to the 2nd Walmart (smith) and they only had a 2 hour wait. They were really professional with fast quick services. It only took them 28 minutes to finish my oil change also included windshield wiper fluid for cheap. They didn’t leave a mess either! Customer care was very nice and helpful. Would recommend for anything.

Shaylea was soo helpful. Super impressed with the team at Walmart Auto! They went above and beyond to help me with my car, explaining what needed to be done without any upselling. The service was quick, affordable, and the staff was genuinely helpful. I’ll definitely be back.

If they don’t know how to balance wheels with the 22” rim they should deny service. Now my truck feels like a washing machine at the end of its cycle lol it is way worse than it was before.

Two tire installation and an oil change took almost three hours. I thought it was one time issue so I did the same services today and it again took about the same time. This happened while I had an appointment that said it will take be one hour. Will not book service at Walmart Auto Center again. Big waste of time.

The auto care at walmart does excellent work. Their prices are fair and affordable. I have done oil changes and tires there for the last 2 years no issues. When servicing your vehicle they go over other services you might need. Wish they were a full body shop adding on break service. The employees there are great. One took the time to show me how to use a Pay called ZIP. Thanks. The only downfall is a coworker who doesn't pay attention setting appointments or selecting what tire size you need because she is always to busy talking. Name starts with E. The other staff saved the visit even though I had to wait longer. Thanks

The 3 star rating in no way reflects my experiences here. They are always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Thanks for sorting out my battery warranty. Much appreciated!

I had the worst experience at Walmart auto care at 7800 SMITH RD, Denver CO 80207 A few months ago, I had an oil change there. Upon returning for my next oil change they tell me that the oil drain bolt was damaged by whoever did the last oil change. I remind them that they did my oil changes. After they figure out who did it (who was previously fired for bad work), they tell me to buy the bolt somewhere then they’d reimburse me and install it. But they offered no proof of this conversation. Of course I ask but they say that they go on memory. They don’t write on my computer account or put such things on paper. Just trust them. I argue for 30mins with serviceman Austin and manager Paul (I think) of the possible problems but they insist. Said that he (Austin) also managers Paul and Richard would remember. Months later I return and of course no one remembers. We discuss for 20mins, then they agree to it. They take my car, and they say they’ll text me when done. I walk away for almost 2 hours, and come back to no one knowing where my car is. Then, having no record of it being checked in even thought they texted me to say the work has started. Then, after 2 hours of waiting I come back. They say they didn’t change the oil because they couldn’t take off the bolt. But for 2 hours they never contacted me to tell me. Then, they ask me to go to another mechanic to have the bolt remove, and say they’ll reimburse me. They then take 40mins to get approval. I ask again for something in writing. They say no. I say at least tell what needs to be done, and I can record it with my phone to tell the next mechanic. Service person Austin says that he doesn’t want his voice recorded. 🤷🏾. After 15-20mins of arguing he agrees to write something instructions down on paper. After several shops say they can’t remove bolt without doing an oil change I find one shop who said they’d add some oil so I can drive it back to Walmart or take the bolt half off. I make an appt. Then as I am in their shop, I call Walmart. They say that they can’t do it that day. So, I had to make another appt at the other shop that is going to remove the bolt. After the 3rd day of this, I get the bolt loosened (not to lose the oil), so I can make it back to Walmart with oil. Then back to Walmart for more memory loss conversation. But then Austin asked for a higher manager (sorry, I forgot her name) to step in. After explaining the whole thing to her, she said that she’d reimburse me. I then got the oil change and my money. But this was a complete headache and waste of 3 days of my time. My time waiting while no work was done, my time searching and going to several repair shops to find someone to do the work. My time making appointments with Walmart. My time arguing with them when they simply refuse to document their words. This was the worst experience thanks to the inexcusable efforts of Austin, and managers Paul and Richard. Also, service person Lisa was quite rude to me while trying to step into conversations that she knew little details about to make excuses for Walmart. I’m surely done with Walmart Auto Care. At least that location.

They did a good job. They gave a time frame that ended up being shorter than expected. I was told a few hours due to six vehicles ahead of me and my vehicle was ready in an hour. Every visit has been on-point. Even a few times when I needed air for a tire. The staff has maintained a professional attitude and I appreciate it.

This is the worst place. Came in at 3 pm for flat repair. They left my car parked in line so it would look like they were busy. Quoted 1 hour waited 3 and a half hours. Only 1 other car in the garage. Another car pulled up behind me an hour later. Both cars didn’t get pulled into the garage until 6 pm 1 hour before they close. I guess they like to keep the cars parked in front to prevent people from coming in.They Didn’t bother to start 1 hour before close. Then 20 minutes later say tire is not repairable. Well you could’ve let me know that 2 hours ago instead of wasting my time and using my car to prevent additional walk in appointment. Worst lazy auto tech ever just hanging out chatting with no customer service

If you’re reading these reviews you’re probably considering going here for something routine, as I was a few weeks ago. I decided to roll the dice based on other reviews and 100% regret my decision. Simply put DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I brought in a brand new vehicle (<500 miles) for a simple winter tire swap out because nowhere else could fit my timing. When I went to go pick up my vehicle, all four wheels were scraped and clearly damaged. I still cannot figure out how they managed to do the damage, but that doesn’t matter. Walmart classifies this as “Aesthetic and non material damage” so good luck getting a claim processed or even submitted. From the moment you walk in this place it’s obvious you’re dealing with a subpar group of guys who don’t care whatsoever about doing their jobs properly. Add to that my appointment was cancelled, rescheduled, cancelled, etc. with no clear reason. Don’t go here. Even it means spending more money or waiting longer for service.
