Before moving from NJ, it was noted that my ATF was discolored and smelled burnt. Called World Transmissions as recommended by my daughter. Kristi scheduled me ASAP and the transmission was serviced on time. Kristi called and advised me as service proceeded. The car (which was a mess) from hauling boxes, etc. during the move was returned completely clean. I am so pleased with the service and Kristi's attention to detail that I will be bringing both cars for future service and will recommend World Transmission to my family, co-workers and friends.

I contacted World Transmission in September, in regards to my 2016 Chevy Silverado that was in need of a transmission repair due to a failed torque convertor. I spoke with Kristie, set up an appointment, Tom the owner checked it out and advised me they can rebuild the transmission in house. This was a Wednesday morning. Tom explained everything about torque convertors and transmissions and how his would be better than the OEM ones. The whole job was completed by that Friday afternoon. I was amazed of the fast turnaround. Tom and Kristie were great in explaining my warranty and very pleasant throughout the entire process. So far so good, truck shifts the way its supposed to. I go back in a week for a recheck. I will definitely recommend World Transmission to my friends to support a local business.

I picked up my vehicle today after having my transmission rebuilt and so far it runs great and shifts smoothly. I actually drove it from Dover Delaware to Philadelphia Airport to pick up a friend as soon as I picked it up and it performed well. The only "problem " I had was when I had my vehicle towed there it had a full tank of premium gas and when I picked it up 5 days later it was bone dry 🤔🤔🤔 I wasn't happy at all about that especially after being told it had a half 🌗 tank which I didn't understand either. But as far as the mechanical issue I was having when I went there so far its good and I truly hope it remains that way because it definitely wasn't cheap at all for the transmission rebuild plus i had to shell out another $85,00 for gas that someone else enjoyed joy riding out of my vehicle 🤔🤔🤔 Update October 17th 2022... Yesterday I had my two week check up and I have to say World Transmission is a class act they did the check up but they also explained why my vehicle was low on gas and then they refilled my tank and I was really moved by the gesture because a lot of business won't try to make things right and it showed me they care that their customers are satisfied. 5 stars and I will definitely go back to them.

Took my car here to get fixed for check engine light to pass inspection. Was told that my whole transmission needed rebuilt and that it would be almost $4,000. My car isn’t worth that much so I declined and still had to pay $125. Did some research and turned out I just needed to change a few solenoids on my transmission, costing me a few hundred bucks. My car’s light went and stayed off and I passed inspection. Practices like this make me wonder about the motives of some businesses (big and small). *UPDATE* So this place did reach out to me to give me the whole story of “we have morals and can’t simply change out those parts, your transmission is broken and needs to be rebuilt, we won’t don’t anything else besides that.” While they may make themselves out to be noble righteous people, it’s simply bologna. Unless the transmission is literally going to explode while I’m driving and I die a fiery death, why not start with minor things first and just explain the situation to the client and have them sign a release of liability if it’s that dire. This is the equivalent of going to the doctor for a headache, but instead of being prescribed medicine, they tell you that you’ll need brain surgery (no questions asked) with no proof of why it’s needed (no cat scans, X-rays, nothing). I didn’t go to school for transmission repair, but if you’re claiming I have internal damage, shouldn’t you do some type of boroscope or X-ray inspection? I myself repaired the car, since I am a mechanic for planes myself. I have driven my car another 25,000 miles since the solenoids (multiple road trips across the country) were changed out, and while I do believe my transmission will die like the lady from this business texted me, I think it’s going to be simply from end of lifespan, not necessarily the internal damage they claim. I NEVER declined the refund offered, I went thru my bank to dispute the charge. I explained how I didn’t feel comfortable setting foot back in this business because I had a feeling that they would use the refund as leverage to get me to take down my review. I told this to the person that texted me from the business, and they simply replied with the answer given to me on this review board. While the bank decided in favor of this business, I accepted it as so and can only warn people of what to expect from this business. Money comes and goes, but don’t let this place unnecessarily drain your bank account. Times are tough, but I think this place is doing fine. It seems the people who are happy with the service here are older individuals (who tend to be easily persuaded to pay for things they don’t need), people that know nothing about cars, and friends of the business (who probably get better rates than the average Joe and aren’t upsold on services). Stay safe and smart out there folks.

I’m updating my review because Tom went above and beyond to rectify the issues with my transmission. It took a little while to get the kinks out but Tom ended up getting me taken care of at no additional charge to me. He even threw in a full tank of gas. I gave 4 stars because everything turned out well in the end. Tom’s great customer service definitely outweighed Kristie’s initial disregard for me as a customer.

I have been doing business with Tom for as long as I can remember and he hasn't let me down...NOT ONCE ! Three years ago he replaced my fuel injection {2014 kia optima} and my car is still on the road today {Aug 2024} and has not missed a beat...runs better than most new cars ...lol it gets great gas mileage and as long as I keep up on maintenance, she will keep me on the road for another 150K miles.. I brought my Chevy pickup there because I was having trouble with my transmission. They rebuilt my transmission and I am happy with the way it turned out. I get a year warranty and they also asked me to come back after a certain amount of time so they can go over everything to make sure everything is good. Great service and quick turn around. My rear in my Colorado was making noise and needed a rebuild. The owner himself fixed it with no issues. He’s a really good guy.Totally quite now and has been working flawlessly for the last 8 months.I highly recommend them and taking my other car n the get the timing belt replaced. Kristi, the general manager, helped us to make a third party repair on a friend’s vehicle. Every time we hit a snag in completing this act of kindness she worked with us to remove the barrier. If their work is half as good as Kristi’s solutions, the repair will be 5 star.

Do not go here. Don't walk away, RUN away from this place. If anything goes wrong with your repair or your vehicle, the owner keeps himself hidden. He won't talk or communicate with you, even via email. My car was left 'accidentally' unlocked overnight by one of the employees and everything of value was stolen out of it, including items in the trunk. The building has cameras but they are "not working". So there was no protection for my vehicle and little to no leads for the State Police to look into.

Prompt, professional, and all around amazing service. What could have been an expensive situation was handled very well by this team. Wasn’t overcharged or bullied into anything which I have experienced elsewhere. Can not recommend them enough.
