I dropped my Lexus ES350 off last week with a clear objective for Young’s to diagnose where my power steering fluid leak was coming from. Before turning over the keys, I asked “what could be the issue?” Young explained that it could be the pump, a hose, & that we wouldn’t know until checking. After a few hours, Young called me with an estimate for $3,000, claiming that the power-steering pump, rack & pinion, and a hose all had to be replaced. He then went down the line of other things he suggested be looked into & said that that would increase my costs to over $4,000. I paid the “check fee” & took my car to a reputable repair shop in Abington. After checking my car TWICE, the mechanic at the Abington shop told me that a metal return line/hose was leaking badly & that’s all that needed replacing. I asked him, “are you sure that’s all?” He assured me that was all. That repair only costed me $350. My car is running beautifully & only that ONE part was the issue. It’s unfortunate that Young thought it was okay to estimate repairs that weren’t necessary to the tune of $3000, but thankfully, I got a second opinion & got the repair done by a mechanic with over 30 years of experience. Moral of the story: BEWARE of Young’s Cheltenham Auto Service. I’m willing to bet I’m not the only person he’s tried to pull a fast one on.

Young took care of a few issues on my S2000. He's probably the most honest, trustworthy, and knowledgable people to work on my car. Im also pretty sure he fixed the radio door which wouldnt stay closed free of charge without even mentioning it. Great prices and would highly recommend him.

Oil leak---- Last week I came to youngs service for the 1st time & he was really nice told me he was going to check to see what was going on, come to find out I had got an oil change a cup weeks ago and my oil filter was the wrong one,so the guy cleaned my old filter and put it back in, this passed Monday I seen oil leaking, I check it Tuesday morning and guess what it was no oil, I brought 4 bottles of oil i only put in 2 in a half to make it to youngs auto place because I didn't know how Long the oil would run out, Young checked it & he said it was a hole in my filter, so when the guy cleaned it that's when the hole happened, young said I had 2 options get a new filter or just get an whole oil change be it was gone costs around the same price, so I just got the oil change, I was definitely satisfied, well guess what I'm back again with my partner car, the same problem with him getting an oil change, at the same time I did a couple weeks ago, now his engine light is on, so to be continue, but I highly recommend young services to anyone, and on top of that it a guy here that was before me, I asked him How long he been coming to young, he said over 20yrs, so that's definitely a plus 💯💯, Thank you Young

05-21-25 Wednesday Owner Young and his staff at Young's Auto are always top notch, professional, and trustworthy! Young is easy to talk with, caring about your car's needs and your wants for your car, and he always gives you the straightforward going-on(s) with your car and he also gives his honest best recommendations on what is needed to immediately fix your car or how long you can still use your car before maintenance action is needed. Services and prices are very fair and reasonable too, you will not feel that over pricing happens here! I've been going to Young's Auto shop for several decades now, well before he took over the shop, back when the shop was originally called Cheltenham Auto, which was located on Cheltenham Avenue and Young was a technician under owner Mr. Cam back then. Since taking the helm, Young has taken the business to greater heights and even higher quality productivity and I totally trust him and his team of dilligent workers still after 30+ years of service! Young's Auto is DEFINITELY one of the best in the car maintenance business if not THE BEST for sure!
