Extremely racist business. They canceled my appointment on the appointment day. The next day the Hispanic female at the counter was not only rude. She cancelled my appointment based only on ethnicity

This is by far the best mechanic around, they are honest , shoot you straight , a d do a great job ! And are very fairly priced, by far the best mechanics in tomball , I have used them many of times , and somehow each time they surpass my expectations, they never ever try to sale you unnecessary work, and they also stand very firm by there pricing, 99% of the time if they give u a quote you canbet that when you pick up your car it will cost that amount no surprise charges! Thank you 2978 for showing g myself and the people of tomball that there is still honest mechanics out there!

Place looks nice, the girl at the counter is super nice, the owner is equally attentive and cool, took my keys, did what they supposed to, and a few minutes later i was on my way out, few places like this now a days, on a side note the girl at the counter is really tech savvy and knows how to drive stick shift, thank you guys, keep up the good work, and yes! you definitely need to take your vehicle here for all of your inspection and repair needs

We came to 2978 Auto Repair for a pre purchase inspection of a used vehicle. I have had a dozen or more inspections like this completed over the years, but no one was as thorough. The technician spent about 90 minutes inspecting the vehicle and covered all the key systems from computerized to mechanical, making observations for attention now or in the future. I've done my own repairs for 30 years yet I came away with new knowledge. His assessment was so thorough, I felt confident to negotiate a better price and forgo a 90 day warranty because of the substantial knowledge I gained from the inspection. I highly recommend this business!

I came to visit my mom and needed a oil change for my car and some repairs on my moms car. The level of detail that these guys go into on diagnosis of your car is amazing. Pictures on the iPad with details on every issue. The prices are great, the service is great. This place will be the auto shop my mom brings her car to from now on. I absolutely love this place! I had been going to another car repair shop in tomball on spring cypress and I usually sat there for 2 1/2 hours for an oil change. I’ve gotten my oil changed, tires rotated, and inspection done here multiple times and I’ve never sat in the lobby for more than 15 or 20 minutes. The people are incredibly nice and even told me the other car repair shop I had been going to hadn’t been properly changing my oil. Their prices are also the lowest I’ve ever been charged. Such a high quality place and I would 110% recommend at least giving them a try.

I just moved to the area a while ago and have been trying to find a smaller place nearby that has BOTH honest service, AND isn't always busy so that you can reliably get routine maintenance on the spot. It seems that's a pretty difficult combo to come by, but look no further!! To top it off, this place has some of the best prices I've ever seen, the receptionist is very nice and straightforward, they're really fast, and the waiting area is comfortable. Absolutely no reason to go elsewhere for routine maintenance imo.

I took my truck for a tune up I paused over 800 dollars less then two months later my plugs fouled out again I bought the auto zone and to complete the job cost me less then 100. This place is a rip off and the tech my rule save your money and time and find a more reliable shop .I believe in helping out small businesses but not at the expense of my fixed income .stay away

Comfortable waiting room. Professional and friendly customer service. We have taken our cars for inspections and oil changes to this shop. Best experience was when the mechanic fixed a jammed dipstick on my elderly Mom's car. She had taken it in to another shop for an oil change. That shop botched the job and left her high and try. Two other mechanics looked at it and couldn't get the broken dipstick out. I took it to 2978 Inspection and Auto Shop feeling pretty hopeless. The mechanic there got me in right away and fixed the problem. He was extremely reasonable in what he charged for the repair. Very happy with how this worked out.
