Replaced the Alternator and some of the electrical components. Communication was easy. They were quick to respond and I felt like they listened to what I was saying about the car even though I am a woman. I feel like a lot of mechanics don’t really care to deal with a woman and I usually feel like I am being taken advantage of because of it. My car was diagnosed 1st thing in the morning after I dropped it off the night before after they had closed. They repaired it quickly and correctly and I had the car back by that afternoon. Fair pricing. And they even followed up with a phone call a few days after repair to see how the car was running. Happy to have found a good mechanic!

Frankie did an excellent job replacing the parking brake shoes, rear rotors, and pads on my recently purchased 1999 GMC Sierra Z71 4X4. I was in no rush, but he had it completed in 2 days and the truck passed inspection and I was able to transfer the title into my name before the 30 day deadline. He even checked to make sure the truck would pass the emissions testing using his scan tool, which is so much better than mine. Franqui and his team went over and above our expectations. I can’t say enough great things about our experience at 512 Auto Repair. First time I’ve felt a mechanic cares about the client and puts them first. Not only was Franqui able to fix some complicated issues that required hard to find parts, but he did it for a very reasonable price. Other mechanics told me finding an abs module wasn’t possible because Ford doesn’t make them anymore. But Franqui was able to find the parts and do the work quickly. They also did a complete tune up, replaced the rear view mirrors, fixed the pockets doors and various other things to get the truck ready for my Son to drive when he turns 16 in a few months. We will definitely use them again!

512 Auto Repair is fantastic! We initially found Frankie and his shop because our Kia Sorento needed an engine rebuild. There was a little known corner bolt issue that I had to research online and speak to multiple Kia dealerships about. The Kia dealerships barely offered to help. They simply kept telling us to trade it in for hardly anything and get a new car which we couldn’t afford. I drove to multiple engine machine shops around town and one of them recommended that I call 512 Auto Repair. Frankie immediately listened to the problem over the phone and offered to take on the repair. We live in South Austin close to Buda but made the trip because we felt confident he could rebuild the engine. It’s been about 8 months now and the car is working great! He followed up with us during the repair with photos and kept in touch. We couldn’t afford to buy a new car so Frankie and his team saved the day! Since then, he has also made repairs on my work van when it stalled on a trip from Dallas. He replaced spark plugs and motor mounts for me. Even though it’s further from where we live, 512 Auto is now our first call for repairs. Thank you Frankie!

Mr. Frankie and his team go above and beyond! They are all very kind! Mr. Frankie communicates things thoroughly and provides further knowledge into things one may not fully understand. We took two vehicles here and he worked with our tight schedule and both cars were ready in a timely manner, the prices are very fair and the fact that it comes with warranty is amazing!! He also recommend us to a tire location, which was also very helpful! We are woman and he treated us with all respect and never did I feel like he talked down on us or was trying to up sale or take advantage! I happened upon Frank’s shop while on a bike ride on country roads behind Teravista in 2019. We needed some work done, so took a vehicle in. After that very first experience, it was game over for any other mechanic. We exclusively take our cars to Frank because of his honesty, timeliness, quality of work, and to know we’re supporting one ethical human and his small team. Talk about going local! Frank has handled jobs big and small for us, from oil changes to major mechanical issues. When my engine and transmission both died, he transparently let me know that repair would cost more than replacing my car then voluntarily ran reports on used vehicles I considered purchasing to be sure they had clean titles and maintenance records. In 2020, we moved 30 miles away from Frank’s shop, but we still make the trek to him for service because there’s no better mechanic out there. It’s worth the drive. Whether you’re coming from Round Rock, Hutto, Georgetown, or Austin, cruise right past those big chain automotive shops on every street corner. Make your way to the middle of the country to this tiny shop with a flag out front that says “Mechanic.” You’ll never go anywhere else. It’s the best.
