Don't go to this place! I asked why my oil change will take 45 minutes because I already had an appointment, the guy behind the counter proceeded to call me an a-hole at least twice, said he didn't give a sh#t why I was there or that I had to drive 30 miles to get there. He was literally screaming, and refused to change my oil. I apologize for whatever I did, he said he would do it once but never want to see my face again. I left. Read the rest of the negative reports, they're REALLY negative!

Very thankful for the help and honesty from 7 to 7. My car was diagnosed and it was suggested that I bring it to the dealer as it may be under warranty. They went as far as contacting the dealer for me. That honesty and helpfulness has guaranteed a customer for any future issues.

Awesome place. Took my car in for a lot of work(struts, wheel bearing, brakes, engine mounts, and oil change) and had it all finished the the same day. My car is running great now and they were even able to lower the labor cost because of all the work they were performing. Thanks again for taking such good care of me.

I am a North Carolina resident in school in a masters program in San Diego. I was attempting to get a state inspection for North Carolina at 7 to 7 and whoever answered the phone was very rude and wasn’t helpful. He sounded irritable like he didn’t even want to help me. This is a very specific situation to me and I’m a college student and as an adult I would think I would just get some helpful information with how this whole process works, but the guy was very nasty and sarcastic wouldn’t recommend .

I had an appointment at 8am to get my car smogged. I arrived at 8:06am and no one was inside and the door was locked. A man from Arjons Auto Sales next door informed me that they weren't in yet and asked what I needed, I told him I was getting a smog check and he told me he would take my key and my information since he was the person who smogs cars for 7to7. This felt a bit weird but I agreed and left my info and my key. After I had paid and was walking back to my car one of the technicians stopped me to let me know they added air to my tires, and that the low tire pressure light on the dash should go away after driving around for a bit. I thought it was nice that they checked on my tire pressure for me. So I thanked him, drove back to work, and thought nothing of it for the rest of the day. I have an aftermarket tire pressure monitor on each of my tires. My tires are normally meant to be at 32 psi. As I was pulling out of work, the monitor started beeping and flashing that one of the tires was at 54 psi! I immediately pulled back into work and verified the pressure of each tire with two separate pressure gauges, and sure enough all of my tires were between 45-55 psi. The max inflation pressure for my tires is 51 psi, literally stamped into the rubber tire. This was astonishingly dangerous. Between this and the weird experience when I dropped the car off, I won't be going back. 2 stars cuz at least they let me know my battery was leaking and needs replacement.

I came to Paul looking to get a new panel that covers underneath the engine. It turns out that the panel wasn't put properly secured back when I got my oil changed weeks ago (by another shop). Paul helped me out when I was expecting either a hefty fee or new parts ordered. You really should go to him as the shop is also clean and organized. Thank you again, Paul. I'll come back if I have any automotive issues.

Updated Review: Paul and his team are absolutely fantastic! They were able to swap the rear differential on my Cadillac CTS4. It was practically impossible finding the part but Paul managed to find a very sturdy & practically new differential. The car drives very smoothly and it’s all due to the team at 7 to 7. You guys rock! No one beats the guys at 7 to 7 Auto Repair, they give you quality work and are upfront about all the details. Thank you to the team!

Wow. It is never nice to have your car break down, but it certainly was a pleasure dealing with this repair shop. I made an appointment online, received an email confirming the appointment within approximately ten minutes, and then was taken immediately when I showed up at the time of the appointment. The car was diagnosed while I waited. Everything was done to make sure that I could have an effective, lasting repair at the lowest possible price. 7 to 7 procured parts and completed the entire repair in a couple of hours, gave me a call, and had everything ready for me the minute I stepped in at exactly the quoted price. I will certainly come here for all of my future auto repair and maintenance needs as long as I live in San Diego.

Very good value for oil change. Performed in 15 mins while I wait in a nice office. They checked my engine as it would not start due to my not having driven my 2013 Mazda for over a month. They were honest - it only had 29K miles so no need to repair anything!! Told me that this model has very little maintenance and advised me as to what and when to maintain. Definitely coming back here for future repairs.

Honest, honest, honest! I tell everyone about them! We have been going to 7 to 7 for about 10 years now...my father and brother go here too. We are so excited to have found an honest mechanic! He is awesome about not trying to work on stuff that doesn't need fixing and help us pass smog when we got the notice we did not pass. Thank you to Paul and all the guys there at 7 to 7. They work on our suburban, RV, and 2 hondas. The Rv place I went to once told me prices for replacing breaks and it was $3000.00. With 7 to 7 it was under $1000.00

It's hard to find an honest mechanic but when you do, you hold on to him. I bring all of my and my family's cars here, including some antiques that nobody else knows how to work on or can be trusted to do so. For example, at another shop they told me that I needed a new transmission and quoted over 5k. Paul took the time to look at it and figured it was just a problem with insufficient vacuum. It was solved with a new hose.

A friend referred us to Paul, owner of 7-7 Auto Repair. The first few repairs went well although a bit pricier than most. We figured this equated to high quality service so we kept taking our cars to him. Most recently though, I took my truck in for a new radiator, head gasket, all new hoses etc which cost me almost 4,300. I lightly used my truck afterward but months later it overheated and I pulled over right away. Paul explained that the truck overheated due to a leak in one of the hoses. Since he had replaced all the hoses and the fluids checked out just fine proceeding the repair, I asked him to honor the 12,000 mile/12 month warranty which he has refused to do. Paul also admits that he forgot to ask me to bring in my truck after the repair to test the job but is somehow still holding me responsible. He has also said "I have no good explanation as to why your car overheated.... I don't think you did anything wrong.." So why should I pay for the repair again? I enlisted the objective help of an investigator from the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). The investigator's findings were in my favor. He asked Paul to honor the warranty but Paul still refused. Every mechanic & knowledgeable person I've asked agrees with the unfairness of this except for Paul. Now, I am left to write my first negative review and take the case to small claims with the support of BAR. I have tried to handle this kindly and fairly with Paul, & here I am still without my truck. He asked me to remove my truck from his property or he'd start charging daily rates & I did at my own expense. In fairness to Paul, he did offer to charge me for parts only to re-do the repair but that would mean I'd pay $1244 on top of the original $4300. I find this to be very unfair & the warranty to be misleading. I want to protect others & ask them (you) to consider working with someone that honors their written warranty which says "warranty on all parts & labor for up to 12,000 miles or 12 mos..." of which I totally qualified. Be careful. I really wish he'd avoid us all the trouble & be a man of his word. I do not hold strong feelings against him but also need to stand up for what's right. Thanks.

Planned on leaving a 5 star review, but was hit with bait and switch pricing. Gave me a price and then doubled it when I got in.
