I went to get a tune up on my honda hybrid. The tune up consists in changing the air filter, spark plugs. Tune-ups may also include replacement of the fuel filter, oxygen sensor, PCV valve, and spark plug wires. My car since it's a hybrid it has 8 spark plugs. I had to leave my car overnight and to think I went to all the trouble so they can ripe me off they didnt change nothing except 4 spark plugs,but my car has 8. My car started to shake on the freeway so I took it somewhere else and that mecanic showed me what they didnt do. I'm so frustrated because I paid two hundred for the tune up and they just change 4 sparkplug that's not a tune up. Well for that I honestly won't be coming back.

They are fair, not the cheapest, but work hard and honest for their money. In my opinion they don't have a upsell policy for-not-unnecessarily-at that-time-needed repairs on your car like other local tire stores "recommendations" and it shows. They charge for estimates.

These guys are amazing! The owner personally took care of me for an oil change on my bmw, pointed out that my license plate light was out and replaced it on the spot! The owner also did a diagnosis on my brakes and gave me a very affordable rate to change out my rotors and wear sensors. On top of everything they already did, they let me know how my belts, hoses and fluids looked at no additional charge. Very friendly service and now that I know they also do other service to bmw I will definitely be coming back here for all my service needs.

Hands down best mechanic I've ever been to in this state and everywhere else Ive lived. These guys are an extremely rare breed! They will give you HONEST feedback and will even tell you if it's not time to replace something yet, instead of just taking your money. I had two major repairs done here..both were over $2000. However, I shopped several mechanics for both repairs. Auto 949 was CHEAPER by about $500 than the next cheapest mechanic. Their prices are actually VERY FAIR. Think of these guys like a small town mechanic that everyone knows & trusts, except they're located centrally in Orange County!

Scott answered the phone, was totally backed up, and yet took the time to make sure that I knew (as a first time customer) all about a fully synthetic oil change for my wife’s 2008 Corvette, and he got it done in less than half the time he estimated. He let me know about another small problem, but wasn’t in the least pushy. They even honored a coupon I found online. The price was less than any of the other places I could have gone to, and I would recommend Scott to anyone. He’s got my business AND it’s even within walking distance! I hope this helps anyone in need of good professional service. I have 4 other cars that will be going in his direction. Ask for Scott!

Thanks Mike for taking care of my Tesla! He’s an experienced mechanic who loves to challenge himself, which is why he took on my case to fix some control arms on my Tesla. I contacted several shops before here and they all turned me down the instant I mentioned the word Tesla. I provided the parts for Mike and he got it done for me same day! He and the team at 949 auto repair are extremely cooperative and we’re great communicating with. Please consider coming here if you ever need your Tesla worked on. I just moved to South County after an unfortunate separation with my fiance during the COVID crises. This was not in any way an ideal time to be shopping for an automobile with no wheels of my own at the time to shop. I got really lucky to find the shop was selling there loaner SUV Ford Escape. I dealt with the owner Gary directly and was very impressed by his personality of integrity, honesty, and what seemed of genuine concern for my situation. Not only did I get a great SUV but I found my mechanic and service shop at the same time. I would refer these guys to anyone. I have since taken the car back for minor service where I was again taken care of very nicely!

I highly recommend 949 Auto Repair. I’ve been coming here since their previous location, and as long as you’re in Orange County, I’ll happily drive over to get my car fixed lol. Gary, the owner, always welcomes us warmly in his very clean and organized office. Mike is super reliable and such a nice guy, and Scott always listens carefully to our concerns. Before I found 949 Auto Repair, going to an auto shop as a woman was stressful. I probably got overcharged more than once. But ever since I started coming here, I’ve never had to worry about that again. They always do excellent work at fair prices. Whenever I have car trouble, 949 Auto Repair is the first place I go.
