Since we bring ALL our Kaiser vans here to fix, I figured I would give it a try. Was just hoping they could fix my flat tire that I had removed earlier then was going to put back on myself at home. Not only did they repair the flat, they removed the spare AND put the fixed tire back on in like 15 mins. Was l8ke a race car pit crew. Mahalo

The service I received at A-1 Auto Repair was more than great. They found a coolant leak that was supposed to have been repaired by another repair shop and fixed it the same day. The mechanic showed me photos of the issue and the filters that were completely dirty. The employees are great and friendly. I would recommend A-1 Auto to everyone I know.

Always a great experience at A1. Despite having a back log of vehicles they got to my car in a timely manner and were able to quickly diagnose the issues. They offered me multiple options on how to fix it with additional suggestions to fix things I hadn't brought it in for. They weren't pushy with the suggestions but genuinely felt like they cared and wanted me to be aware of them. Timo was very communicative and made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. I highly recommend A1 for any of your car troubles.

A1 Auto Repair always does an excellent job as to fixing practically all the cars that I've taken to them! I've had new cars than when the warranty ran out. I've taken to them couple cars that took at the most two to three days depending on the repair esp for our 2007 Frontier but overall I would recommend them. Not only are they affordable but they have a great team, friendly team and they keep touch with you as for the repairs. I like coming here I miss seeing Bubba! Hope he gets better soon 🙏 though haven't seen him in a while! Mahalo guys😊

Failure to launch. Had an appointment scheduled for some maintenance and even called Timo yesterday to make sure I had the time correct. Even though I was thirty minute early for my scheduled time, Timo said the car should have been dropped off yesterday at 3:00PM. I know he mentioned dropping off early during the call but never said that it was mandatory and because of this I was not able to be serviced today. Normally I would forget it but I checked my phone logs and I spoke to him yesterday at 4 to confirm my appointment. If I was suppose to drop off yesterday then why didn't you say anything when I had him on the phone? Major time lost and very frustrating.

My temp gage was on hot...I thought my radiator was the problem. I took my car to a1 and spoke with Chris. He asked me to bring in the car and they'll do a diagnostic check. It was the tubing that ran the coolant was the problem. I I picked up my car the next day....and I'm happy as a clam! Kudos to Bubba, Chris, and crew!

Despite the staggering number of cars that were jammed into the shop, it didn't take long to determine this was a problem of not having enough space, and not one of a lack of organization. In fact it was soon revealed to me how organized and efficient they were, and the number of cars was obviously due to the great work they do. Add the fact that they solved all the problems that brought me there, quickly, efficiently, and keeping me informed of the process (and costs) all along the way. This is always appreciated with any job, but it is particularly important with my vehicle, a 1972 Lincoln that requires mechanical savvy way beyond diagnostic computers, auto-shop generalization and YouTube tutorials. These guys are true mechanical professionals, working in sync in a well oiled (sorry, couldn't resist the pun) and honest organization. I couldn't be happier. And you will, too.

I have been going to A1 Auto Repair for many years but this time they forgot or didn’t bother to check if everything was completed properly even though it wasn’t a big deal I am very particular when my car is worked on and expect that attention to detail is very important to me this time they did not reinstall my brake bleeder covers on 2 of the 4 wheels at first I didn’t notice it but after doing my own oil change with my car on the jack stand I noticed a bleeder screw cover was not installed so I checked the rear brakes and found another cover was not installed Yes I suppose they could have missed that but I want repairs to be of the highest standards as I don’t want problems later on down the road but all in all they have completed the job on time

We've taken our vehicles to Bubba and his team since we arrived on island 2 years ago. We've had an excellent and efficient experience every time. Last week we had an urgent vehicle issue. I drove straight to their shop as my truck was starting to overheat again. Not only were they able to diagnose the issue on the same day, but they were able to send me an estimate for work approval. This was all on a Friday. They called Monday morning to tell me that my radiator had been replaced and my vehicle was ready for pickup! Of note, they recently updated their communication systems and it helps the process run so smoothly. I can approve work via text or email, book appointments online, and even communicate via text when needed. Bravo, Bubba and team! Mahalo for taking such great care of my family's vehicles.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience! My Infinity 2003 was in such rough shape and had Engine issues that several other repair shops told me to give up and buy something new. But the technician here Timo didn’t just accept the challenge—he elevated my car to a level I honestly thought was impossible. Timo is such a genius person and seriously about work. He approaches every tasks with extraoridinaly dedication. The quality of the work is outstanding. Every upgrade, every adjustment, every detail was handled with the care and precision of a true master. When I picked up my car, it felt like I was driving a brand-new vehicle. I was genuinely stunned. If you have an older car that everyone else has written off, do yourself a favor and come here. The skill, dedication, and pride in their craft are unmatched. Absolutely deserving of five stars—wish I could give more!

I had a below average experience at A-1. Most importantly, please understand that they offer 10% off to their customers if you leave a 5 star google review, hence the strong rating-- its deceiving. I brought my car there to address a check engine light for which i had run an at home diagnostic and knew what the error code/issue was. The first time i brought it there I called them at the end of the day and they said my car was all set and ready for pick up. On my way there, i got a 2nd call saying they messed up, they actually didnt get a chance to look at the car because they got busy during the day. OK fine-- not the end of the world. I tried again the following week- i was first told the indicator lights were due to a bad battery and needed to be replaced ($300 + labor), plus they needed to run their own diagnostic ($220). Expensive but fine, as long as it resolved the issue. Later that night the check engine light came back on. I took it back there the following day-- after sitting in the waiting area for 45 minutes the mechanic came upstairs to tell me the indicator light was indeed caused by the issue i knew it was all along and they recommended not bothering to pay to get it fixed since it didn't impact drivability or safety. I then proceeded to wait 30 more minutes to get the printout of the diagnostic test (pretty sure they forgot about me). In the end, I spent $700 and plenty of my time for a new battery and no resolution to my check engine light. Really nice down to earth guys, but the google rating here is wildly inflated.

Project Manager Chris was very friendly & articulate on explaining the required scope of work and anticipated completion time. During car pickup, Chris answered all of my questions & provided clear descriptions & pointed out under the hood items that were replaced. Technician Timo who serviced my car was also very personable & provided superb technical workmanship. I was also very pleased with the 10% discount on materials/labor provided to Government Military Retiree and/or Senior Citizen Discount! A-1 Auto Service is a fantastic local Ohana style company that I will patronize & highly recommend them to my family & friends for auto repairs & service.
