I went there got my coolant bypass valve replaced. The owner(taybi), CJ and Princeton ( hope I spell the name right) are really responsible, honest and patient. They value your time and money. I got amazing service with good, reasonable price. I highly recommend this place if you have any car problems. And I will come back for my future auto repairs!

Took my RAM 1500 to A1 Transmission in Richardson because my transmission was starting to act up.issues. Both the owner and CHILD were professional and polite. They had my truck diagnosed within 2 days and fixed in 5 days. The price was right were they quoted me and the 12 month 12k warranty was more than I expected. I would highly recommend A1 Quality Transmission & Auto Repair to anyone looking for reliable and honest work on their vehicle. I have been in a couple times to have my car worked on and I am greeted with care and respect. The owner is kind, compassionate, and truly gives the definition of customer service to his customers. You can tell that he takes care of every customer as if they are family and does not settle with anything but quality work. As a single mother I am so thankful to have a honest shop run by a truly good person to help me maintain my car.

I am so happy and satisfied with A1 Quality! I absolutely hate bringing my car to the mechanic but I had a feeling these guys would not disappoint. CJ was kind and honest while explaining to me what needed to be done to my car. They were quick to diagnose the problem , repaired it and surprisingly saved me hundreds of dollars . My brakes were making noise, especially in the rear, so I stopped at A1 to see Tim11, who diagnosed the problem very quickly. My rear brake pads needed replacing but the front were OK as were the rotors. An A1 mechanic installed new rear pads very efficiently and effectively to remedy the problem and the cost was very reasonable. Any other shop possibly might have told me they all needed replacing but not here. In the office on the front desk hangs a sign that says "you've come to the place for Honest, Quality Service", which is absolutely true! Honest, Quality Service at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend A1 for your transmission and car repair needs. I've used them several times and can truthfully say that they're the best for Honest, Quality Service you can depend on. Thank You Again A1.

I had my son's Volkswagon CC transmission rebuilt at A1. They did a great job. It has been a few months and just getting around to getting to this. We had a small leak after repair and they did a free smoke test to determine issue. It was actually just an ancillary drip that cleared up after a few days, but the attention to ensuring the job was done right was awesome. Great guys to deal with, highly recommend.

I would absolutely recommend this repair shop. The clutch on my Mazda needed some serious repair and All of the other shops I called were quoting me ridiculous prices. These guys gave me an upfront estimate that was much more reasonable than everyone else and were very transparent and direct throughout the entire process. I got my car back in great condition in less than 2 days and will be returning if I ever need serious maintenance work in the future

Friendly staff and owner. Carefully explained details of repairs. Responds to questions. On the business side, I had difficulties with my repairs. I paid $5500 to have my transmission rebuilt. I took it back on 3x after I received it back because it still wasn’t running back. On the third time, I was told it was another part not covered under my transmission warranty causing the problem. I paid more money. Drove away and 14 months later ( 2 months after my warranty) the transmission overheated and needed to completely rebuilt again! Hell NO! I changed this from a one to three star because the owner called me personally with genuine concern how to resolve the issue. I gave up and bought new vehicle. I’m done.

They replaced my transmission in October 2023 and I had to return my car to them many times after. My transmission is back having issues and its been one and a half years since they "rebuilt" my transmission. I took it back and they wanted to tell me it might be another $5k to fix my transmission, given that I had already made $5K in the initial repair in 2023. They claimed their warranty only covered 20,000 miles. I would say if you're going to work with these dudes, keep every receipt and get everything in writing. If your repair doesnt go smoothly, you want to HAVE all your ducks in a row. The receptionist CJ also treated my BIL horrible on the phone. He was so rude. The "good customer service" is a facade and I personally dont think their work is consistently good.

Wow. What great experience! My 2016 YukonTransmission started slipping as I pulled into Dallas from a 2,000 mile trip. Took it straight to A1 Quality and got it back today. CJ is the man! CJ did a great job and even went the extra mile by working with LKQ as this was under warranty. I will now use A1 Quality for all my auto repairs. Thanks guys!

Best automotive repair experience ever from my first call to picking up my keys post repairs!!! TJ is possibly the best manager, and as a management colleague i feel i can say that! Give him a budget and he works his butt off to make it happen. (We had to go way over budget for mine. But they were honest from the start!) The two techs in the shop were also friendly and helpful. I was blessed to meet the owner while picking up my keys and we had the most amazing conversation ive had this year! Visit them. I know ill be back again with my 25yo truck!

Scammers!!! Avoid this shop. My short and simple history: On October 27, 2025 Ford Escape Hybrid 2011. Transmission stuck in “Parking”. Towed the car in (paid out of pocket). They charged $150 for “diagnostics” and then claimed the transmission was bad and needed replacement for $3700. ❗ No estimate. No invoice. No proof of any real inspection. I later fixed it myself in 15 minutes by checking the transmission linkage — the car drives fine. This shop looks like a scam. $150 for nothing.
