These guys get the job done! I had a few issues going on with my 2004 chevy silverado and Abel and his team got it done in ONE DAY! I called and scheduled a drop of date for the car and they got working on it right away. Theses guys work around business hours to get stuff done and they will get you back on the road in no time. I have never taken it anywhere else and I'm very satisfied with the job, price and warranty. All very reasonable and fair. Amazing service! I will drive 45 minutes from Santa Fe from now on to come here. He even told me how to replace my mass air flow sensor myself to save money, so it's well worth the gas. Plus, the guy is super personable (and cute).

This place is a joke they won't work on a brand new edelbrock carburator on a 64 impala also saying something about lowriders want certain mufflers on there cars if you need exaust work or mechanical work I suggest going somewhere else they just moved in to the neighborhood and let me tell if have a lot of friends and family in the lowrider community. I will spread the word

I had my catalytic converter stolen last week. I called around and, after talking to Abel on the phone, I decided to take my car to him for the replacement. He also had to replace 2 oxygen sensors that were taken but it was still less expensive than other shops quoted as their starting points. Muffler shops are making good money on catalytic converter replacements. At least this shop is not gouging customers. Abel explained everything he was doing and had me in and out pretty quickly. He's a very nice young man.

Awesome service. My son and I were travelling from Maryland to Phoenix and our catalytic converter failed on the way into Albuquerque. I looked up shops and found this one (top of the list -- AAA helps) with 4.9 stars and nearly 80 reviews. Clearly he's doing something right. I called and Abel answered, gave me an instant and very reasonable quote, and ordered the part as soon as I committed to bring my son's car in for repairs. He found that it was my secondary catalytic converter, not the primary, and saved me $300 on the repair. It took less than 3 hours and he gladly let me inspect the work and showed my the old clogged converter (it was ugly). Awesome guy, hard working, and customers in the lounge swear by him. I highly recommend his services - I'm from back east and it's hard to find a good, trust-worthy mechanic where I've lived all my life. To find one 2,000 miles away who lives up to his reviews was a remarkable experience. If you live in the Albuquerque area or are just passing through and need exhaust system service, you can't do better than Abel's shop. I'd give him 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

These guys were awesome! They are fast, efficient, friendly, and thorough crew if your vehicle is needing repairs. They were very transparent during the whole process: from before the repair where they showed me where my problem existed, to during the repair and keeping me up-to-date with any new issues that happened during the troubleshoot, and even down to the follow up and making sure my car was functioning properly, even beyond the repair. The only thing more surprising than their elite service, would be their reasonable pricing on their quality work. Overall, I would recommend to anyone who needs quality work, or just a fair opinion! Visit them.

Great store and excellent service. I took my care for some major repairs. The owner, Able was very honest upfront and very kind and caring. He explained to me my car's problems and d cost of parts in very honest and disclosed manner. Not only he is very very knowledgeable mechanic, but also he is very honest and fair. He repaired my car with best parts and he paid great deal of attention and care while fixing d car. Despite that, his repairs cost were reasonable and very cheap and affordable. Able first priority was to fix d car thoroughly and he was very flexible in negotiating a decent quotation. He is great mechanic and very generous person. Thank you Able. I originally called and talked to Abel about a quote for a catalytic converter replacement. I ended up needing more work done as well on what I thought was my starter. Abel was professional, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He found the real issue and fixed it as well as replaced my catalytic converter. He completed the work so quickly and I was shocked at how reasonable the price was for the whole thing. His customer service was fantastic and he demonstrates a high level of integrity and pride in his work that is hard to find and shows just from talking with him. I will absolutely be coming back to Abel’s shop in the future and would highly recommend him.

Amazing guy, the shop is owned by Abel and it's just him but he's the best guy when you are struggling to find any place to fix your car for a reasonable price. Incredibly friendly, helps explain everything to you. From price to what needs down vs what should be checked on in the future. I've been looking for a place to get my catalytic converter replaced for months and everyone I've been too was gonna charge me over 1,400 for either the part alone or even more with labor. Abel not only got me a universal cat for my car that runs great but did an old gasket replacement for much less then 1,400 all together (about 1,100 for Jeep Patriot). He's really out here looking out for what his clients need vs just making an extra buck. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does for a living. Very honest and up front man, and quick with his work. He got me in and finished my car with in the same day. 100% going back to him again for any advice and repair needs. Fantastic place. If you need car help and are struggling financially to get someone who can help who isn't gonna charge you a crazy 100 dollar diagnostic fee and over price every part you need. Go to him. He is 100% worth it. 10/10 Support this local business.

I have serious trust issues when it comes to anyone working on my car, but I’m so glad I found Discount Muffler. I was on my way to the River of Lights when I stumbled upon this shop, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. Abel was incredibly knowledgeable about diagnosing what was wrong with my car and made sure everything was safe before getting it back up and running. He got my car fixed in just a few days, which was a huge relief. On a side note, this guy is also really good-looking—looks like I might be coming back more often for car services just to see him!
