I work for a traveling children’s theatre company. Check engine light came on and after going to Auto Zone and then telling me the problem I brought the van to these guys. I’m just a girl. I have no idea about cars and frankly I don’t care but John was so helpful. Even though it was beating the end of day he helped up get back on the road. I will forever be thankful to this man!

As a valued AAA Premier member for a long time I have NEVER had such a bad customer service experience with AAA. But my truck was towed here under the impression they could fix it but NOBODY decided to tell my grandfather they didnt work on previously worked on vehicles while having my truck sit there for 2-3 days. The manager DANNY was disgustingly argumentative toward my veteran grandfather and tried to talk to me like it was a us problem. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYBODY !! The manager didnt try to even offer an apology as obviously the whole situation was a lack on communication. Danny work on your customer service as you should be setting an example as the MANAGER. Will be reporting to the higher ups!

Went in for an oil change at start of September, and also asked to please check transmission fluid as there was an undiagnosed problem I was trying to identify. Was told afterwards by the front that they couldn't check fluid- it was in a spot where there would have to disassemble things, but since I was due for a transmission service they were happy to do that. I had my trans rebuilt last summer, so mfr dates mean nothing.. I said no thank you, and after checking out walked around to speak with the mechanic because I knew that was a load of hogwash. They apologized for the ignorance of the front desk and assured me they checked transmission fluid and it was fine. But I shouldn't have to have done so, and any lesser knowing person would've payed the extra $$$ for the transmission service.. 2 months later, and small thing, but I went to use my windshield wiper fluid this morning (something I do not normally do) and it's bone dry. Wiper fluid is listed in the description of the oil change service on the AAA website. I paid $80+ for the most basic of service, and it wasn't even completed fully. Do not recommend.

I had a terrible experience with AAA FOREST ACRES. On Valentine’s Day I took my truck to AAA forest acres for a brake issue I explained what the problem was and asked them to fix it. The next day I got a text giving me a list of everything they said was wrong with my truck most of it had nothing to do with my brakes. And the wanted $1400 to repair my truck. I asked if they would just fix what I needed them to fix and they said for safety reason they would have to fix everything on the list. I had truck towed to my house where I did the work myself. When I driove my truck after the brake repair in found my truck was skipping and running terrible. When I dropped truck off at AAA-it was running fine. I checked my truck further and the air breather was left unhooked. I also noticed that some of the things they said needed repair were in good condition and working properly. I felt very compelled at that time to do a review and let the community know the type of establishment this is. I felt that they were dishonest I will never use AAA again. And I suggest no one else use this location either.

Wait time was a little long, but for good reason - these guys are thorough! They gave me an in-depth summary of my car WITH IMAGES (!!!) and got back up and running for a great price. AAA was transparent, trustworthy, and courteous. Thank you AAA for saving me!

My husband and I had excellent customer service from Facility Manager, Danny Bagwell and Technician, Mike at AAA, 4526 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC, 29206. We were getting ready to take a trip in our 2011 Honda Element when we started to have issues with the air conditioner not cooling properly at the stoplights. Initially we thought it would be something simple to fix. After checking, it turned out to be the condenser fan which required a part to be delivered before repairs could completed. Danny and Mike went the extra mile on a Saturday to get that part and then have it installed. They even worked together after closing to get our car fixed for our trip. We so appreciate the excellent customer service we received from them and would definitely use AAA on Forest Drive again. You do not usually see this kind of customer service anymore. Thank you so much!

Very terrible service. I purchased a battery awhile back and was told it's under a AAA warranty. The third party member they sent out was terrible and kept asking me to pay for my new battery with cash and that he can make it cheaper if so. Also he failed to mention you should keep the small receipt with it and that the purchase won't be in the system. I called and the person could not have been more unhelpful. She was blaming me for not having the receipt even though they did not have data on my account. They lie and try to take advantage. They try to take advantage of you and add on multiple additional fees. As a AAA member for years this was hands down the worst experience and worst location. Very rude and unhelpful

I want to thank Dusti, Dan and ESPECIALLY Cliff for their above and beyond help. I was in town from out of state and the starter went out on my car. They were able to diagnosis and repair my car on Saturday and saved me from having to stay over to Monday before going home. It is nice to know that you can still count on strangers in a time of need. My heartfelt thanks and appreciation.

The single star is for their friendly and kind demeanor, beyond that this is one of the most incompetent, lazy, and lying auto service centers I've ever experienced. Our vehicle broke down and the tow truck driver arrived within 30 minutes on the highway, which was great. Brought the car to the closest AAA station, which stated they were booked for the remainder of Friday and would take a look at it first thing Monday morning. Monday 1 pm we called them as we were traveling back and hadn't heard anything, we were told they were going to start looking at it and they would call us back. 5pm rolls around so called them again, they said they think it could be the engine or the transmission they needed to look at it further the next day. Tuesday we call them back and they stated they could not figure out what was wrong with the vehicle other than it seemed low on gas. They stated "We will fill it up tomorrow morning and give you a call" 1230 pm rolls around, no call, so we called. They stated "we don't have anyway of getting gas" they proceeded to ask us to come bring them gas for the vehicle while we live 1.5 hours away. Their suggestion was to call AAA again and have them drop some gas off. We called AAA again, confirmed the gas was delivered, the vehicle started, was driven and there were no issues or warning lights, good to go. So we drove down, paid the almost $200 for them to tear the car apart and do god knows what to it. Turned the vehicle on and the check engine light was on, cruise control was flashing, and traction control light was on. Not wanting to deal these do-nothings anymore, we drove the vehicle home with these issues, only to pop the hood open and find the mass airflow sensor was disconnected. I do not understand how this is a AAA center. Even if you can't figure out how to put gas in the tank of a car, at least learn to call back your customers as you stated you would. Do not take your vehicle here.

Came in with friend to get international license and staff treated us like we were long-time friends. Jessica and Abigail were really helpful and extremely knowledgeable about international travel, including currency (unfortunately, I recently exchanged at a bank which cost me a lot more than AAA charges). Thanks staff for the phenomenal service.

I had AAA tow my pick up yesterday to my preferred shop. They did good with the tow job and all but one thing that didn't go right was when I tried to use one of their free trial cards. I used the link sent to me on my phone to fill out a tow request but there seemed to be no way to apply the free card in the process. I even asked the man on the phone about it but he said he couldn't help. I just wanted to express this issue and see what they say about it.

This place was very nice in terms of service. They fixed my car quick and communicated often to keep me in the know. Unfortunately, that great service was tainted by how they left my car. I would never expect them to wash it to make it look amazing, but they left my car an absolute mess, especially inside the door. It was very unfortunate to be given a car that way when I spent the money I did and was originally very thankful how quickly they got it fixed.

Arrived on Saturday morning for an intentional drivers license. Rebecca was bubbly, friendly and gosh, so lovely. Absolutely delightful visit, I'd have you know! Be careful in the parking lot so that your car doesn't get knocked.

Went in for a simple tire repair. When I left the new tire had 15 PSI (I didn’t know it was that low till I got to an air pump.) 3/4 of my tire pressure caps were missing. They reset the clock in my car without setting it back, and now for some reason my window doesn’t close normally. Makes you wonder.

Had my vehicle towed to my mechanic by AAA. The tow truck driver broke my gear shifter and now AAA doesn't want to be responsible for there tow truck driver damaging my vehicle. I have been with AAA about 12 years and this is the first time this has occurred. But I can guarantee you when my membership renewal is due they will make sure I receive it with no problem.

Dusti, the customer service representative, was very helpful and personable and that’s the only reason why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Other than our interactions with her we are very upset with our service. My center console and glove box were both gone through and many items were thrown all over my car floor without a care. It was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable especially for the absurd amount we had to pay for their service. The same thing happened to my husband a few months prior. While he laid down towels so his interior wouldn’t get dirty, there were dirty boot marks left all over the floor pads when he got his car back and the towels were just basically shoved out of the way. Plus, the price for an oil change and fluids seemed to go way beyond the norm. We gave this place two chances and they disappointed us so we will not be returning. AAA should get a clue and do some serious internal investigations to hold their mechanics to a higher standard.

I took my car for a hub job my warranty paid for 2 they only replaced 1 and pocketed the rest of the money and part. I had to take vehicle to Firestone have done again. They lied about doing my transmission nor could show a reciept for work. Mind you they are getting paid through my warranty. I'll never take my vechicle here again. They had me fixing things on my car that wasn't bad or due for service. My car warranty will be pushing for the money return on those parts that was never placed on the car. Leaving me several months on trying to figure out whats wrong with the car. Im highly disappointed and dis satisfied with their service.

I had my car towed there because it wasn't getting fuel and wouldn't start. The next thing I'm told was my battery dead. Then I was told the fuel pumps out. I told them everything was working when my car was told so the battery can't be bad.then after over a month and terrible communication, I go pick up my car and told everything is working fine. I get there and none of the electronics work so basically I can't do anything with my car. I told them and they said the windshield wipper motor was causing the battery to die. I picked my car up and told them I was taking some place else. It died on me. When I finally got my car to another shop, they had to fix everything this shop messed up. Don't come here unless you want your car worse than you leave it. I put one star because you cant go lower. Don't get taken for your money and receive terrible service. The common words by most reviews is "unprofes sional ". Believe what they say UPDATE I sent information and heard nothing. I called AAA office for formal complaint and heard nothing. I emailed the company and after emailing back and forth was told to call to make a formal complaint I have been with this company for years but the level of professional behavior has taken a deep nose dive.
