My daughter’s car (2015 VW Jetta white) broke down back in late August due to a timing belt breaking. Customer name K. Mercado). I live in California so I had no choice but to have this place replace the timing belt ($1536.00). The mechanic (Tim) explained over the phone I would be taking a chance because when timing belts break it could cause internal damage to the engine and it may not run right. After they replaced the timing belt the car ran extremely rough. Tim said I’d most likely need a new engine as there was most likely internal damage from the timing belt breaking. I travel to Arizona and trailer the car home. I discover they did not set the camshaft and crankshaft timing correctly as it was about an inch off alignment. It took lot of my labor, but I aligned them and the car runs perfectly. No fault codes. For over $1500 to replace a timing belt and for them not to sync the timing correctly is unacceptable. Cost me many hours of my own labor to fix their mistake. Imagine if I let Tim order a new engine? Unbelievable.

I was told my car required synthetic oil. I found out later that was wrong. My report showed my battery cables were corroded. He never even cleaned them. They were out of batteries but I was able to purchase one from mobile AAA a few days later. When I arrived home, I realized my receipt showed I was not a AAA member! Wrong. Never got the labor discount. I had to go to auto zone and my son replaced the battery connectors and pads. This is my first time using a AAA service center. After my husband died I wanted someone to trust with car repairs. I'm 70 years old! They lost my trust.

Was a customer since 2014. Called today to ask for an appointment to do a tune up and a once over before taking our old car to emissions. Tim told me they don’t do emission checks or tune ups. That if a check engine light was on they could fix that but not much more. That he could charge me for things as he’s checking them if I told him what I wanted replaced. My husband was listening in and so frustrated at the way Tim was talking to me that he said he would not do business with AAA again.

I was very disappointed. We were told that we needed to spend $800 plus on a new starter before the engine could be evaluated. We took the truck to another shop where they found the starter was fine. They started the truck and evacuated it for less than $300. You get no stars.

Came in for a starter issue. It wasn't fixed the first time. It was a complex issue with my particular model of car. So I came back in and they fixed it for free. We already paid for the work the first time and it turned out to be a tough fix. But they took it back in and went the extra mile. Tim is great. If you have AAA, I strongly recommend this location.

I drive people to doctor appointments and medical treatments. I went to start my car and the dash lights flickered and made random noises … not good ones… it was questionable if the car would turn over and start. I responsible for trips so the first thing I did was drive to my AAA service center. Mat listened to my urgent request and symptoms. He then assured me he would work me in and get me back on the road. I am thankful for Mat and his exceptional service and I know the people I drove that day also appreciate Mat.

I picked up my vehicle and noticed that there is now a curb rash on my wheel and a small chunk of tire cut out from the sidewall. I understand that the techs are required to drive my vehicle after my needed services were performed however I'm incredibly disappointed that there was no proactive accountability, there was no way the tech driving my vehicle didn't feel that rash, which leads me to believe the tech didn't even bother notifying his management team, additionally there was no evaluation by management to identify if the vehicle is in the same condition as it was when it was dropped off, The service performed on my vehicle was a fraction of the price of those wheels and tires and as a customer I would have appreciated my maintenance services to NOT result in more repairs. Unbelievable.

Run - Don’t walk away from this place. Got an oil change and the price was crazy high. When I asked why it was through the roof, the Service Advisor said my car took 18 quarts of oil. Seriously? My car DOES take 8.5 quarts, but nothing approaching 18. No, I didn’t misunderstand. Then he had the audacity to say that my car needed an ADDITIONAL $2534.17 in repairs. This car had just come back from a thorough DEAlER inspection with the only “Repair” being wiper blades. Absolutely on my “Never again” lust.

My experience at AAA Northeast Phoenix Auto Repair Center was fabulous. I was towed there by a fine tow truck driver and met with courteous and helpful service. I was taken home by a very courteous driver while my car was being worked on. When the work was done, I was picked up by a very nice Lyft driver and brought back to pick up my car. A 5 star experience!
