I was in need of sand bags to tarp a roof, and I called this ABC to see if they had some in stock. A younger lady answered and she had no idea what I was talking about, so I explained the erosion control type that are about 30-50 lbs. She put me on hold to ask someone else as she was new, came back on the line and said they had some and they were 80lbs for $3.50 (or something I can't remember the exact price, the that is about the going rate so it sounded like we were talking about the same thing. I informed her I needed 25 and was on my way. Now mind you I'm 25 minutes away. I arrive at the location and there's two women at the desk. An older woman with light hair to the left and a younger one to the right. The older woman had no idea what I was talking about, and gave me this puzzled look and didn't know what sand bags were lol like I had to explain that they're bags of sand, and she finally got it. I thought she was pulling my leg. The younger girl apparently is new and has no idea what I was talking about and the older woman had to walk me outside and showed my the large "scoop" size bags of sand! LoL I'm dying inside, half laughing, half upset that I drove all the way over there for nothing. I couldn't help but ask her "am I speaking another language here? It's just sand bags, for erosion control". She apologized and blamed it on the young girl, but she herself had no idea what I was talking about. She also kept rudely asking why I needed sand bags as if it was a problem I needed sand bags. Either you have them and will sell them, or you don't and I look elsewhere. I'm not a rude person to anyone at first, but I'm not shy to mirror someone's own attitude back at them. It was just sad.. I had to explain to two women at a roofing supply yard what sand bags (they're looking at me with a blank stare, ok let's try this again) erosion control sand bags please (confused look again). Very nice people. I went to get supplies to seal a conduit hole in a membrane roof for work. The counter person got a guy to explain what a big deal it was to seal a Firestone Vinyl Roof. They of course had the supplies,but, cautioned me that any hole would violate the "thousands and thousands of dollars warranty". ABC gave me time to call the Boss and make sure if I was to proceed (Boss said no). There were no hurt feelings that I didn't buy anything.★★★★★ 7 years ago

They take safety in effect on every Job sight there on. Randy and Alfanso have Always went way out of there way for me to make sure everything is on point rather where Contracting with a small Job or a school District delivery.
