So let me tell y'all something, these folks are absolutely amazing individuals. I'm from Texas and my vehicle completely crapped out on me. It was no longer driveable. The care and concern that these folks invest in the people - and I say people, not customers because they treat you like a person - and the vehicles that they work on surpasses even normal generosity of a kind person. If you need a mechanic and don't wanna be screwed over and like kind folks that handle their business, this is absolutely the place to go. I give this place 10 out of 5 stars.

Was recommended to these guys by Valvoline to fix a headlight for me; and I honestly could not be more impressed and pleased with their service. I just needed a “minor” headlight fix and although it wasn’t minor with the work that needed to be done, they absolutely dropped everything for little old me when I rolled up to ask for their help. They fixed it immediately and it was literally the cheapest car repair, I’ve ever experienced. 10/10 will recommend them onward; as well as return for other repair needs 🩷 Thank you, gentlemen! 😘

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I called them because they had been recommended a few times on a post of mine on the FB Fargo/Moorhead community page. A little back story. My Honda dealership said that my brakes were in the "red zone" and needed to be replaced when I took my vehicle in for a recall repair. They wanted to charge me $1000. I figured I could get it done cheaper elsewhere. I went to Les Schwab to see what they would charge me to get brake pads changed. They tried to convince me that it is best to do brake pads, rotors, and calipers all done at the same time. I was married to a mechanic for 20 years and maybe the rotors need to be replaced, maybe not. But unless there is a problem with the calipers, definitely not those. They kept trying to push me into it and I told them they are crooks and they will not get my business. Here enters Above All Auto. They got me in same day, looked at my brakes, brought me out and showed me that my brake pads had less than 50% wear on them. They didn't need changed at all. They did show me that there was very slight uneven wear on the rotors, but that was nothing that needed to worry me right now. They didn't even charge me for their time they spent looking at my vehicle! A great group of guys! The owner even took time out to talk to me. They have all my future mechanic business!

My son-in-law took his pickup there for engine work. After diagnosis and work, the cost came to $2200.00. I picked it up for him and didn’t get 2 miles from shop when every warning light came on. Took it back, they looked at it and told me they forgot to put engine coolant back in when they were done working on the engine. I watched them put in at least 4 gallons of engine coolant. That took care of the engine overheating, but the $2200 worth of repairs they did, did not fix the original problem. The owner indicated he’d make it right. Took the pickup back in and they still could not diagnose the original problem but sent it to another shop. That shop gave them recommended possible fixes, but when asked they didn't say anything about getting the recommendations. Once my son-in-law told them that he talked to the other shop, they said they could do the work, but he’d have to pay for it all. $2200 later, no diagnosis, no fix, and they did not make it right. Now son-in-law is out $2200 and pickup still has the original problem. Not to mention they may have caused additional damage to the engine after admitting they forgot to put engine coolant back in.

Called about a transmission issue, they were the only mechanic to not immediately say I needed it replaced, wanted to actually do a diagnostic and see if it could be a cheaper solution. Did end up being in need of a new trans, which is way out of my budget, but that's not a them issue, these guys were super friendly, and great.

I took my Jeep here to have the engine looked at as I was noticing some issues. I thought I had scheduled an appointment online, but must have made an error. They were booked up, but still willing to work with me to take a look at my car. They were great to work with and even showed me what they were looking at under my vehicle about potential issues moving forward. Overall, the service was great. They did a diagnostic and couldn’t find or replicate the issue I was having at this time and didn’t charge me. I will definitely be back as I’ve had some not so great experiences elsewhere in town. These guys seem to have it together!

In August I was taking a long solo road trip and I wanted to have my car checked to avoid any nasty surprises. They got me in on very short notice. I was prepared to leave the car there but they said they would look at it right then. They did a full inspection and then said everything looked good! They even took me in the garage so I could see under my car (because it was on the lift)! What did it cost me? Nothing. I really appreciate the common sense service! I know there will come a time when I will need some repair, and I know exactly who I will call. :)

I'm not from the area but was in town for an event and 45 minutes outside of Fargo my Jeep blew its engine on a Sunday near a small town mechanic. Small town mechanic was hopeful at first it wasn't the engine, but when they found out it was - said they didn't do that kind of repair work. I called Above All Auto and asked if they were willing to do a full engine replacement. They said they were, I asked about towing and they made a great recommendation. We got it into the shop and after looking it over and seeing what was going on, they asked if I wanted new engine or something used and were able to source an engine asap. Before starting work and getting the engine, they gave me a quote and let me know what they estimated the cost would be plus an estimate for cushion $ in case they found other things wrong, which I appreciated. They were able to complete the work and gave me a heads up about break-in period for the new engine. Got my first new engine oil change a while back, and it's been a few months since the repair now - couldn't be happier. Very thankful.
