We brought our diesel pickup in for some block heater issues and a coolant flush. The techs was very helpful and communicated everything with us from issues to recommendations we did for the truck. Everything was able to be done over the phone as well and I never had to walk foot into their shop to pay a bill or speak with anyone. Which was very convenient for my lifestyle. Back on 12/13/23 I was stranded with a severe air leak on my truck and the alternator also went down on my reefer unit at the same time. What a nightmare. However the owner of Deckplate and his crew fit me right in the following morning and got me back going that afternoon. Their customer service was top notch and they helped on labor as much as possible. These guys aren’t out to try and rip the owner operators off at all. They were extremely professional and I highly recommend them too anyone in the area whether it’s mechanical work needing to be done at the shop or a road side callout. I was part of a type 6 wildland fire engine traveling west from eastern MN to western MT on assignment when our Ram 5500 developed a significant radiator leak just west of Fargo. As luck would have it, I got ahold of someone at Deckplate on the first call and they had an opening and would be able to get our truck into their shop first thing next morning. Ryan and Dustin were very clear and prompt in communicating the diagnosis and accommodating our needs for an estimate and approval prior to beginning repairs. They also provided multiple timely updates via phone calls and texts with pics of their findings as the repairs and diagnosis evolved. Our fleet card approval and spending limit level adjustment process is clunky and slow but Josh was very patient and helpful in getting us the paperwork and signatures we needed and navigating the payment process. We were back on the road in 48 hours and the truck is going strong following their repairs. I cant say enough about Deckplate Diesel. Six Stars.
