I chose ABRA North Liberty after an accident because it was recommended by the BMW dealer. Initially they were quick with getting estimates and starting the process. From there they were much less informative about how the repairs were proceeding. I had to call to inquire rather than getting regular updates. The repair date was continually pushed back with parts delays. Once I received my car the exhaust came loose within two days. They “fixed” it only to have it come loose within two weeks. After they fixed it again I looked at the repair and found home made exhaust hangers and the system was misaligned from the accident. Furthermore, the transfer case mount was broken and not fixed during the repair process. I decided to fix it myself but due to the exhaust being shoved forward by the accident this was not possible in my garage. I ordered the correct hangers and mounts and gave them to ABRA. We looked at it while at the BMW dealer and they also confirmed the problems. Now several weeks lay and after I had to call to inquire about the new exhaust pipes they will try again tomorrow. I would have assumed that since BMW recommended the shop better care would be taken, but I found out later that ABRA is owned by the same company as the dealer. Which now makes me question the reliability of the dealer.

I got into a motor vehicle accident. I had my vehicle towed to ABRA Auto Body in North Liberty (I have never dealt with them before). It was the most easiest and quickest process one could ask for! From the beginning with the receptionist to finding out my car was totaled, and dealing with the insurance side of things, ABRA made everything super simple including calling me with updates on my vehicle after they received it. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.

Scheduled a free repair estimate. When I arrived they told me they couldn’t do it and sent me to Junge Ford because they “work with them.” Junge Ford then charged me $200 for the same service after no mention of fees. If you “work with them” you’d know they charge. Wouldn’t be surprised if you get a cut. Do not recommend.

Deer v car, deer won! ABRA was recommended for my repairs. As with anything car related, I worried about the work being done. The team took care of my repairs. There were a few glitches, but they addressed them and were professional an d repeated that they wanted me to be happy with the work. In the end, I was happy with the work and would definitely go back if needed (but I hope I don’t have to!).

Lack of professionalism, including poor communication regarding the accurate timeline and current stage of the repair. Disregard for the customer’s time, and intentionally hanging up on the customer while they were expressing concerns about the significant delay in the vehicle repair.

Vehicle was fixed in a timely manner and returned in very clean order. The only mishap was the insurance company changed their mind mid stream about what to cover, leaving us with out of pocket costs. Despite this issue, I highly recommend ABRA.
