I brought in my BMW 525 I to fix the speed gage and it cost me over 430.00 dollars and when I picked the car up it was working for 2 days so I returned the car 4 times and they never fix the problem. I called the manager several times and I'm coming from Portsmouth Va and there was no returned calls. This is totally bad business and fraud, my thoughts are they never replaced the part anyway.For the other reviews that was negative take them to small claims court as I am, they need not to get away with doing horrible business.

I recently had my car serviced at AD Performance, and while they were quick to get my car in and worked on my timing chain as requested, the overall experience left much to be desired. Despite their efficiency, the repair took longer than expected, but I appreciated that it was still faster than waiting for other shops, which were all backed up for weeks. However, upon receiving my car back, I noticed a new squeaking noise that wasn't present before. Despite my concerns, the mechanics at AD Performance dismissed my worries, attributing the noise to my belt. After attempting to address the issue myself and seeking a second opinion from another mechanic, it became evident that the problem lay within the timing chain compartment, a result of the work done by AD Performance. When I reached out to the owner to rectify the situation, I was met with defensiveness and a refusal to take responsibility. Despite paying close to $900 (that price is not including the parts I provided) for the repair, the owner declined to address the issue without additional charges (he said he would listen to it but would not take anything apart for free). This lack of accountability and unwillingness to stand by their work has severely eroded my trust in AD Performance. Sadly, I can no longer recommend them as a reliable or honest option for car repairs.

I cannot recommend this place based on my experience. My suspension issue after lowering my car was not solved during my first service and I was told to buy parts to fix it for a ridiculous price for what should be a simple install. Expressed concerns that I didn't need the parts they asked for to get my alignment up to spec, including statements by the manufacturer of my kit, and my concerns were handwaved and I was basically told I was wrong. Ended up buying the parts, but taking my car somewhere else. Turned out, I was justified to express concern and doubt of their work, as the other place did not need either part to get my alignment right and solved the issue, including finding issues AD Performance failed to address or misdiagnosed. They also charged me significantly less. In addiction, service is mediocre. Getting in contact with anybody over the phone was impossible and when I was there, I noticed the manager end calls without answering multiple times. At the counter, my speaking to the manager was interrupted multiple times by other employees to talk about something unrelated to my service. And for some reason, when I was expressed doubt of what they were recommending me, the entire shop of employees magically all came from the bay to crowd around the counter for some reason. They also did this outside when I brought my car over another time. I'm not sure what that was about, since I'm sure they had other work to do, but that was very odd. As stated earlier, if you dare express concerns about their work, you'll be treated with contempt and told you're blatantly wrong. They're also very expensive compared to other places in the area. Atmosphere and the employees felt unprofessional. They have experience mechanics, but the knowledge for the job I needed done was clearly lacking.

Bought a 2017 ram 1500 with typical 5.7 cam and lifter failure. Decided to upgrade to a comp cam. Needed it tuned after all the work. Decided to use this shop since it was local and decent reviews. Kyle called me back while no other tuning shop did. He got my truck turned around in 1 day. We had a couple issues with the original tune so I brought it back in. Kyle took a couple days to really dial in the truck and i couldn’t ask for a better tuned truck now. Runs flawless. Only complaint I have is it can be a little difficult to get ahold of someone. But I understand they are busy and they were always welcoming when I stopped by. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I took my 335i to this shop .It took them 3 months for a simple job.Darius has the worst communication skill of any shop management. They lie ,by tell you oh your car gonna be ready when they just stinging you along. This so call performance shop should be out of business. They give me the worse experience dealing with a shop .

I don't think there's enough room to fit all of the issues with this place. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with any business. Communication here is absolutely TERRIBLE. It took 7 MONTHS for them to finally finish my vehicle and even then my vehicle was leaking oil from the rear main seal even though I gave them a new OEM to install with the engine, the AC was barely working, and my check engine light started flashing on the way back, so I returned the vehicle and waited another 2 weeks for for them to fix that and they still didn't offer any kind of discount with the repairs for all of these issues. I had to do all of the communication, there was no follow up or updates throughout the process. I had to go out and buy another vehicle while I waited on these repairs so I could get to work. This doesn't even cover all of the issues I experienced... find a different shop.

Went there to get my exhaust put on and upon lifting up my car I found that the welds were done atrociously. Not only were the welds done poorly, the bracket holding the pipes together weren’t even secured properly. Had to go out of my way to buy my own bolts and washers to secure the car myself.

I was Scared to death when I seen my check engine light come on along with other lights on my dashboard… it’s NO GAMES WHEN IT COMES TO DEALING WITH A PORSCHE. I WAS FAMILIAR WITH AD PERFORMANCE, PRIOR AND MY FRIEND SAID YOU SHOULD TAKE IT THERE… I want to say that my guy D took care of me diagnose the problem and had my baby back on the road!!! I was back and forth on bring my car here because some of the reviews weren’t great. I decided to give the a shot and I’m glad I did. They got my car in extremely quick, fixed a few issues and dyno tuned the car, they came in on a Saturday to street tune the transmission. There tune guy is EXTREMELY good at what he does, my car has never ran as good as it does now. Darius is super chill also very knowledgeable. If your are reading these reviews like I did I’m here to tell you they do amazing work and know there stuff!!

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a shop. My car was there for 3 months. The whole time it was there the shop never communicated with me at all, I had to track down people to get any info about my car. The front desk person is rude and the owner is a liar. 3 months of my car being there and it’s still not right and I have damage to my car that was done while in their possession. The owner is clueless as to what his employees do and he himself has no integrity. When my car was according to the owner DONE, it was picked up and driven home, at this time it was discovered the car was not right and the damage to the rear of the car noticed. Went back to the owner about an hour later, he could care less the car was still not right and also said the damage was there when he received the car, Total lie. If you are looking for honest, trustworthy, quality work this is NOT the place. 3 months my car was here with no communication from them and now I have a car that still needs repair for what I asked to be done and damage they caused in their Possession. DONT WALK AWAY. RUN !!!!! On a side note there is a new battery in my car that the owner swears he did not put in but the date on the battery is dated with a date that the car was in their possession when the battery was made, But he called me a liar when I told him his shop put it in. My car was at this shop from 9/1/25 until 11/29/25. STILL NOT FIXED. The owner will respond to this as he does to other posts saying this or that but he’s a liar and the bottom line is my car is not fixed and has body damage caused by his shop.
