Honestly. I never right reviews. But I just needed to. I came to this place trying to get a new battery on the spot. Caleb helped me out right away. Honestly the best hospitality and very professional. Friendly people and they got in and got out. Fixed my battery fast and perfect. I thank them a lot.

The manager here is the best. She often comes out herself to help customers out. The prices here are very compared to other car stores but that price comes at a cost. Their selection is quite slim and sometimes not the best product. Overall, a good stop when your car needs maintenance.

This store is discriminatory. This location in particular is funny in my opinion. They will treat customers differently as they so choose. My husband went up there back to back days purchasing items he needed for our vehicle and during each purchase his phone number was collected. Also, during one (the purchase of issue) of the purchases, Tony, threw away the receipt so he didn’t have a physical proof of purchase. My husband attempted days later to return the unneeded item and was given a run around by the gentleman in the store. All of which not only attempted to raise their voice, but essentially wanted to try and puff their chest out like they run things, putting their foot down. Stating he had NO proof of purchase that they could find and would not give him a refund. So in test of their remarks, I went up there myself to buy a little air freshener and asked about an air filter i purchased at another location but forgot it at home. I stated i lost my receipt but i gave them my phone number. The general manager stated (who was there when my husband was there) to me, that if I used my phone number they can locate a proof of purchase. So i find it funny how when I go, a woman, they are much more willing to help me and not get an attitude with me BUT when it comes to men, not only my husband but he witnessed other men getting spoken down too, they have a different attitude. Discrimination is illegal just saying. And you never know who will come back in the store to test what you just told another customer… BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. We will not ever be returning to this franchise all together.

This is not your traditional auto parts store where the person selling the parts actually knows a little something about cars. He actually offered me the computer to find my own parts after he couldn’t find a radiator hose. Complete waste of time.

Pro Member and Elite Member Online order, in stock. Used $10 in speed perks for the order. Order ready for pick up. Drive half hour to pick it up. They don't have it in stock and had to cancel it. Lost my Speed Perks $10 coupon because of their inventory mistake. O'Reilly had it in stock and gave me a great discount because of my negative experience at the competitor store.

My husband and I brought in a dead battery today 1/2/25 at the 12843 Jefferson Ave Newport News . The way we were treated with kindness and respect was above and beyond. A medium built older black man who walked with a limp assisted in checking my car battery a week or so ago, sorry I didn't catch his name. He told me to go straight home that the alternator tested bad and it was not the battery, he went back in the store came back out and handed me a business card of a mobile mechanic by the name of Ken that was trust worthy in his opinion. This seemed funny to me so I took my car somewhere else, they replaced my battery and said the alternator tested fine. So I figured you either have a straight face lier who is taking advantage of customers and referring them to his mobile friend mechanic for his own personal gain or he just can't do his job correctly. 🤔 My car could break down right there in front of your building and I would refuse to come back there ever again...thank you and have a good day.

We are a business and run all of our part purchases for our customers through our commercial account as a business and this is the only professional way to do this. An associate always gives my technicians a hard time as we need to have the receipt printed through our business, but this associate refuses forcing my technicians to pay out of pocket thus having to recoup from our customers. Very unprofessional. The associate name is Liam and is very rude and surly…he did not follow protocol and call the business number or take the technician ID. What is the point of having a commercial account if we in the end have to appear unprofessional and recoup part cost from customers with a regular printed receipt. We only experience this in Newport News and twice it has been with Leam. I’m really considering finding another supplier .

I went here today because my battery wouldn't stay charged. A fine Gentleman named Junior Jackson helped me. We discovered it was my battery. I got a new battery. He then tested my alternator and started to make sure those were working well. He said they were good to go for my next morning 5, hr drive. I was so happy that he helped me. I felt he provided good service and he was honest! I feel confident about my travels tomorrow!!! Thank you so much Junior for saving me a huge headache and possibly mountain of a tow bill!!

I was told by the dealership that my battery would need replacing soon and the quote was over $600. I came here and Junior was great! He checked the battery, alternator, and starter. He confirmed the battery needed to be replaced. The cost was $280 and they install batteries for free. My son had an old car battery at home, which I brought back later and they gave me $10 store credit for it.
