The shop was recommended by Weaver's on Brandon Blvd, which has done great work for me, so I trusted them. I prefer to work with Mom/Pop stores-service facilities. The front desk clerk was horrible. She had an issue w/my knowledge and question asking. After the diagnosis, she informed me that it would be $750.00 to replace my AC compressor. I have a 1996 Impala SS. I asked to speak w/ the mechanic, and was told that she was the service writer, and I could only speak with her. I voiced my frustrations, and ensured her, this company didn't earn anymore of my business. Furthermore, I called Weaver's and expressed my concerns, and the owner told me that, "yeah, she can be FB"! I then asked why would you recommend them? He replied, "Rick, her husband, does great work", and that he would give him a call. I do not recommend Advanced Auto Air, Inc (9401 U. S. Hwy 301, Riverview) to anyone. I guess that was the reason the parking lot was empty

Excellent!! Quoted me a price to replace my alternator and that's what I paid. Even had them check out another issue I was having with a charging port. They discovered a metal ring causing a short, removed it and didn't charge me for it. Great customer service and very affordable.

I see a lot of positive feed back about customer service an pricing which is what brought us to you. As far as customer service I have to applaud you. You said everything we needed to hear to get our business. Its the deception on pricing that has me really applauding you. I guess I understand with a global pandemic going on and businesses losing out on money you have to make the difference up somehow. I'm so honored you picked my family to help you out during this time. How you charged us over $800 for a $200 part is staggering. The estimate you gave us for parts with labor out the door and tax was under $800 then when we come to pick up the car its "this repair cost more than we thought it would and I really don't know what to tell you" response to the over $1000 bill that just sells itself. I hope someone learns from my mistakes and records or gets it in writing.

I knew nothing about this car I obtained and wanted to convert the Freon because the car was old and I needed a sway bar put back in place. He said I’ll order the bushing. I finally got under the car and no new bushing. They just put the bar back in the old one. And guess what? The AC was already converted over. I have the receipt for the new compressor from the previous owner. 450.00 for nothing. Never again.

I had already been told by the dealership service manager my 2001 Camaro AC repair job was going to cost me between $2500-3000. Rick and Tammy quoted me $1350. And I paid $1350. Now my AC works better than when it was new. If you want honest, dependable, fast, no nonsense AC service, this is the place to go. Rick and Tammy thank you for being kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them. Troy Dickey

Called for the very first time at noon yesterday for a/c compressor replacement on my elderly Mom’s car, and Tammy and Rick had her in and job completed by 3pm THE SAME day! Most impressive car repair situation I can ever remember. Probably not able to provide that level of same day service all the time for everybody, but wow do we sure appreciate it on this one. Highly recommended! Everyone wants their guy/girl to be able to call for auto repairs, we believe we have found ours. Thank you again AAA!

These folks saved me thousands of dollars and provided good, quality service at an affordable price. We took our vehicle to another shop and we were told we needed a new air compressor & pressure hose but that the hose wasn’t the issue- it was the compressor. These guys tested my air compressor and it was fine, only the hose needed replacing. This SAVES me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS !! I came in fully prepared to pay upwards of $900 (I anticipated paying over the initial quote) and they could have easily replaced my compressor and hose and made much more money off of me and I would have been none the wiser, but they didn’t. Before I made the appointment, I read all the reviews and honestly they gave me pause and concern but despite all the very negative reviews, the one prominent theme was the outstanding quality work provided and that was enough for me to give them a try. As for Tammy, we had only positive interactions, she was knowledgeable on the phone when I was only seeking prices, answered all my questions and when we called back, took us in immediately the next morning. I found her to be direct, clear cut, with a no bs approach which I respect. I encourage potential customers to keep in mind that everyone has their own circumstances and experiences and most people don’t take time to post positive reviews, only negative ones. This I know bc I am usually the one having and providing negative reviews. Do your homework and if Advanced Auto provides the best option, give them a shot and decide for yourself. I am very grateful I made my own decision!!!

Had 2013 Town n country AC go out. Can't beat the price to trouble shoot the issue. The stealership wanted $139 to tell me what was wrong. Also that price goes toward fixing it. I called three places, all of them quoted the same hours but the price varied. He was the best deal and includes a 12month warranty. He fixed it on the day we set and within the time we set. Had to remove the entire dash to get to the evaporator. There was a light on the dash afterword, but he said bring it back in and it was taken care of in 30min. Absolutely happy with the price and service we received. We will be using him more often in the future.

They were very accommodating and were able to identify what was wrong with my compressor and fix the problem quickly and had the second parts ordered and available next day and installed fast. I highly recommend. And fyi in response to some of the reviews I've read, the co-owner is not rude, she came off to me as clearly a very blunt person and that's just how she is. She wasnt rude to me at all. Short and sweet!

Great job! Professional, nice and affordable. Rick did a really great job fixing my car and I saved a lot. It is great to go to a place that does not nickel and dime me for things I really don't need. The warranty is good for a year, parts AND labor and I haven't found any place that beats that.

I've had my VW GTI in twice. First with low pressure and a leak, and second with a compressor problem. Rick just turned the compressor problem around in under 24 hrs. Give this small business owner a chance. Wish I could give him more business because he deserves it. He bust butt with a building that's not not climate controller and comes across as honest. I recommend him for all AC work. Thanks Rick.

I had a positive experience with Tammy & Rick. My car's AC wasn't working, so I brought it in for an estimate. Rick was able to access the issue quickly. Tammy took the time to explain. No upsell, just a coolant recharge. Fair price, clear communication. They'll be my go-to for any future issue. Support local business!

Fantastic service! Dealership was trying to fleece me for $2500 for what they reported as a leaking compressor.AAA quoted me $1100 for the same job. I took it to them and after a real diagnostic, the compressor didn't need replaced at all. Just a low pressure valve. Entire job cost $300. They could have easily sold me $1100 worth of work and I would have been happy with that and known nothing different. They choose integrity instead. And yes, the A/C blows cold again. HIGHLY recommended.

This review is very overdue and well deserved. Rick at Advanced Auto Air has been our family's go-to mechanic for over 16 years; he has performed over 50 repairs on 7 separate vehicles that typically lasted to 200,000 miles. Rick is among the most competent mechanics we have found after living in 8 states. This is also the most honest business I have had the pleasure of dealing with. The pricing is fair, and the warranty is real, even after 10 months and 11,000 – I didn’t even have to ask. Rick will never recommend repairs he believes are unnecessary and will always talk you through the various options available. More importantly, if he thinks another shop can do the job better, he will tell you. Many times, a dealer or oil-change shop will recommend a repair, but when I took it to Rick, he'd let me know why it wasn't needed (and not even charge me for the consult) or his price for the repair was less than the dealer/other shop. Basically, I never have to question whether Rick is being up front, fair, or honest -- his integrity is a given and that is truly something special. Karl Becker, Riverview FL

This was my first time using advanced auto air for my air conditioning repair. I went to have it diagnosed and it was very fast for Rick to diagnose it. You can easily tell that he is experienced and enjoys his work. The diagnosis fee is pennies compared to most. 40 bucks vs 180 from the dealership. They were able to get my parts in one day and the truck fixed the next. I now have cold AC that has a 12-month/12K warranty. I will definitely be going back for other mechanical repairs. Rick does all forms of mechanical work, Minus oil changes, and tires. If you are on the fence about repairs, I recommend giving Advanced a shot. You might be surprised. Thank you again Rick.

I would give this place 0 stars if there was an option. Woman at the front desk is not very friendly and had snarky remarks when I couldn’t answer certain questions. My car has an evaporator leakage and I had it recharged and it didn’t even last for a month. They told me if I came back within 60 days I wouldn’t get charged again after the job was done. I went back and they didn’t oblige to what they told me, they were trying to charge me again for the same job. Never coming back. $240 down the toilet! THANK YOU

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!!! READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU WASTE $1300 LIKE I JUST DID. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! The owner is the person who answers the phone Tammy, I have NEVER met such a rude and disrespectful person in my life that works with the public like her. I dropped one of my work vans off to have the AC repaired, the reason we dropped. The van off is because the air conditioner in the van only worked on high speed, it didn’t work on low medium just high. So after driving around with the air blowing on high speed ice cold for two weeks in your face, it got annoying and we decided to go and have it repaired, the key to this is it was ice cold and worked just fine on high speed before we dropped it off. Another mechanic told me my problem was a $400 part, but he just couldn’t get to me for about 10 days. So I’ve made the mistake of calling this company, I dropped my van off and in the matter of two hours was told that the entire system was shot and the compressor was “locked up” and a whole new system was $1300 and they would have it done by the next day mid afternoon, so like an idiot I went ahead and did it and took their advice believing that they diagnosed my system. When I paid the money and picked my van up, I walked outside to the van, went to turn the air on, and it didn’t turn on low or medium just high, I went back in and told the lady that’s the exact reason why I dropped it off and she started telling me that I must have other problems, then she told me that the mechanic must’ve only diagnosed it on high, then she told me that it never worked on cold before, and the compressor was shot the whole time. this is a perfect example of a company just telling you your whole system is shot. They even replaced it, and it still doesn’t work. $1300 down the drain, I own a small business and this hurts a lot because now we have to go pay another mechanic to fix the problem. When I asked to speak to the mechanic or the other owner, the lady told us they were busy and didn’t have time to speak with us. Then started blaming me and my wife for the problems we have having with the air conditioner. This is absolutely horrendous that this company is still in business, I’m filing a complaint with the state attorney general.

I can't speak to anyone else's experience. They were courteous and even more importantly, they are exceptional at the service they provide. In Florida AC is very necessary, and in Wimauma, Ruskin, Sun City, Apollo Beach and Riverview this is where you should be going. In his words, you're gonna be chilling...and he was right.
