★★★★★ On the first leg of our journey to Arizona, we limped into Spokane Valley on Friday evening with a badly slipping transmission. We were loaded with our travel trailer, 4-wheeler and 2 dogs. We called a couple of shops, one of which said he would get it In on Monday morning, to run diagnostics. However, he couldn’t work on it for several days, and anticipated that the work would be extensive. And expensive. At 20 minutes to closing time, we called John at Affordable Transmission Repair. He promised to come out the next morning to the RV park where we stayed overnight — Saturday — in spite of the fact that he was closed on Saturday. He adjusted the transmission band, charged us very little, and said he thought there was a good chance that would fix it. We hit the road for a test drive, pulled 4th of July pass, and are headed to Arizona to celebrate our 50th Anniversary! Our transmission is working GREAT, and we are very grateful that businesses still exist that will go way above and beyond the call of duty to lend a hand when needed. Don’t waste your time and money on the big chain outfits. Support the local businessman, especially Affordable Transmission Repair!
