What a terrific experience! Tyler and his team are good people. The kind where you can feel their authenticity and consideration. When you talk to Tyler you can tell there’s no nickel and diming going on, just someone who’s happy to help and team of genuine people to back him. I had the pleasure of chatting with Genia (front of house) and Sasha (technician) who were so welcoming right off the bat. I ended up having a 15 minute conversation with them because of how genuinely engaged and kind they were. When I came to pick up my car they refused to charge me for the front headlights they repaired. I’m still blown away by this! This is a rare business that has real honest and friendly people. Please do yourself a favor and bring your car here for any repairs.

The brake lights were in a constant on state on my 2000 nissan frontier truck, a common problem caused by the plastic bumper stop for the brake pedal switch falling out with age and use. This was putting a strain on the battery. I brought the part in to AT & AC and Tyler installed it for free and gave my truck a jump charge when it wouldn't start. Very helpful guys, I'm so glad I found this shop on the westside. They do more than tires.

I have a Subaru Crosstrek and after my overpriced showroom prepaid oil change ended, I’ve been going to these guys. Held my car hostage for 5 weeks, I called every week for timing updates and was always promised a finished job in the next few days, the next few days would pass with no communication whatsoever. At that point they should have recommended I transfer my vehicle to a different mechanic because that kind of timeline for auto work is horrific. Luckily I was a student and able to get by on public transit mostly, but it did affect bigger travel plans during the 5 WEEKS my car was at Almar. My final bill was over $1000, and now I’m back at my hometown mechanic 8 months later getting an issue fixed that may have arisen due to poor quality work done by Almar on my brake system (see photo) that will cost me several hundred dollars. I’m furious and I can’t believe I let myself get taken advantage of in this way! I would never trust this business with my vehicle again and I’m glad I never have to.

I brought my Highlander to Ty's shop on Almar. He quoted me a price for replacing shocks, struts, and control arms which was significantly lower than available corporate chain prices. Further, he's an auto technician with 20 years' experience, and trains up staff who want to eventually become auto techs. He's got an Auto Repair Dealer (ARD) certificate, paying taxes into our local economy. My vehicle now handles like it's new. I highly recommend.

Ty is a hardworking, honest dude. I would trust him to do well on your vehicle, and to tell you if he wouldn’t be able to. It’s a small shop so you can expect there may be a wait, but the prices are very reasonable and the team has integrity. I took my Prius in to find a mystery coolant leak. They spent over an hour trying to find what was wrong, and though they were not able to find it, he was honest about it and gave me some good advice, and helped me learn a little about my car as he was looking at it. I called at least 15 shops in town and he quoted me the most affordable for a diagnostic, but in the end insisted on not charging me since they couldn’t give me a clear answer. He also recommended another affordable mechanic specializing in Priuses that was able to help me out with my more complicated job. I ended up needing my catalytic converter replaced and they got me taken care of. I’ll definitely be back to Almar for my smaller jobs in the future though! Thanks guys!
