I spent over 600 to have my brakes fixed. After their third unsuccessful attempt. I take it to another shop and find out they installed the hardware incorrectly causing me to have absolutely no rear brakes. The owner refuses to respond to any photos email calls, letters etc, I am now left with no other choices but to sue Craig and Sharon cooper's aka Auto Brake registered agent and call Andy Fox with wavy tv 10 to get my money back I paid them and also the money I have been forced to pay another shop to fix the work auto brake screwed up on three different occasions. It's sad when you go into a shop and they screw up your vehicle and refuse to even acknowledge any wrong doing when they have been sent the proof of what the other shop found and fixed on the first visit!!!

Rob and the Auto Brake crew are the only people who fix our vehicles. We have been working with them for over 10 years and are always satisfied! They are knowledgeable and get the job fixed in a timely manner.

I have used this place a long while ago and decided to steer clear after we received my dads truck (after inspection) with a completely cracked dash, haphazardly glued together. Today I went for an inspection. Another gentleman and I waited in-line. The gentleman who I assume is the owner looked in our direction asking “what did you bring”. I first looked to the other gentleman to see if he was first. That is when the owner showed his true colors, yelling at me and refusing to let me explain the situation. I would never come here again, and even if you do he will explain how he is too busy to care and that I should’ve came in the morning! Be smart, find another shop.

I have been go here for 30 years with no problems however, I asked to get a small leak fixed in front of the car. Rob said it was the radiator and said they replace it and fixed the leak. I paid the $600. The same leak was still there, I looked under the car removed all the plastic covering myself and tightened the fitting . One small bolt. I am not sure how they replaced the radiator without tightening the same leaky fixture attached directly to it.

This posting may inflame many as I believe many use this AUTO REPAIR SHOP. I have a difficult time calling them a repair shop, because your vehicle WILL definitely NEED Auto Repair if you go there... Years ago this shop was well respected . It has since changed hands with a man named Rob and Craig. This place has fallen from grace and is no longer the neighborhood Shop you can trust.....ANYTHING BUT. They use inferior parts, they recommend parts that are unnecessary and make you feel they are giving you the "FAMILY RATE" .....Recently the STATE POLICE shut them down for doing inspections because of fraudulent inspections. .....They charged an 89 year old widow $45 to change wiper blades .....They installed used parts on a vehicle and told owner they were new until parts failed and it was discovered they were used. .....There are folks working there that are not mechanics working on cars and claim they have specialty training.....no, they don't! .....The owners are LIERS and they will cheat you. .....There are many many folks who have been treated poorly and with disrespect....especially women. .....many are widows who get snowed. We all hate car repairs unless your rich and can just drop it off at a dealer. We all hope we are fortunate to find an honest repair shop that we can trust. My objective is to hopefully save folks from ending up spending a fortune and end up In worse shape having to yet take it ...are there any HONEST shops left

If I could give this facility a zero rating, I would. First of all, I was referred to this repair shop last year by a reputable business to get my vehicle inspected and I had absolutely no issues. This year I took the same vehicle to get an inspection and it failed. The fact the vehicle failed the inspection was not the issue. The issue at hand involves negligence, lack of customer service skills, unprofessionalism, and adding repair charges to an original quoted price that was not authorized. My vehicle was inspected on Monday 3/19, after Rob and I spoke about the repairs that needed to be completed for the vehicle to pass inspection and I agreed, I took the vehicle back the next morning 3/20 and left it with him. I had not heard anything on Tuesday, Wednesday passed, so on Thursday I called to check on my vehicle and I spoke with Rob. Rob stated that the car was finished and he was about to put the inspection sticker on it. I went up there around 2:40 or so to be told that he had to add another part on my vehicle. I asked him why was I not called about it in fact why didn't he mention it to me when I called him. Rob became rude and disrespectful. This unprofessional man told me that he could take the part off of my vehicle and put the rejection sticker back on it. After the second time he threatened to do so I told him to go ahead because I should not be responsible for what he choose to do without my authorization. Rob admitted that he made a mistake and he should have called but that is not good enough. Instead of taking a loss for his mistake, Rob actually took the part off and the rejection sticker went back in the window. Mind you, I have a copy of the original inspection document that list each item that needed to be repaired to pass the inspection and clearly during the original repair some how another part was broken/cracked. The new inspection clearly states broken/cracked left front arm which would have been visible from the beginning and was not documented on the original inspection. Instead of being honest and up front, Rob expected me to pay for the additional repair which was done without my authorization. I am very disappointed as to the service I received.

This place use to be great, honest and trustworthy. It seems they recently lost their lead mechanic Rob. If i had to guess i would say it was over a disagreement with the owner over milking their customers for every dime they could. Unfortunate, Been taking my vehicles to them for over 10 years, but that is an end to an era.

Be careful; employees have changed & the integrity is not the same. One of their mechanics recently let my sister's car sit for a week without repair or diagnosis. He later explained that he didn't want to work in the cold. While having it towed to another business, the mechanic quickly diagnosed the issue: a new radiator & a few other things for $1900. Subsequent mechanic, several flushes & a thermostat and she's good as new. I miss Craig Sr. and Sharon. The business is not BBB accredited.

On Wednesday May 21 2025 at 0800 I took my car to Autobrake for an inspection and brakes. I told the gentleman working the desk my brakes were squealing. I call to check on my car at 1300 and another gentleman said it was ready. Perplexed, I started asking questions and only an inspection was done. I said my breaks were making a noise did you not hear them? He tells me they don’t do test drives in the rain. So I continue to play dumb and said oh really I didn’t know that. So I asked about the visual inspection on my brakes he said well you have brake pads. Ok bet! When I picked my car up MY BREAKS WERE SQUEALING AS I PULLED OFF. Saturday I took my car to a reputable AAA mechanic shop for my breaks and another inspection. I needed brake pads and rotors. I asked him should my car have passed inspection. He tells me no it shouldn’t have and then proceeded to show me the worn brake pads he removed. He even stated he was concerned because I told him I had an inspection Wednesday… Had AUTOBRAKE completed my SAFETY inspection properly, they would have saw that I needed brake pads and rotors. So don’t take your car to them if it’s raining lord forbid they work. And if anyone wants to see the receipts I’ll show them.

I always take my car to Auto Break versus the dealer. The prices are fair, the service is first rate. Everyone is so nice and respectful. They never try and get me to do something I don't need. They always go above and beyond. Strongly recommend them.

Had my car for 7 days and kept guessing the problem. Did not fix that whole time. Broke something and didn’t inform me. I had to call everyday to check on if my car was done. Will charge you for labor they guessed it might be, if it’s not what they guessed they will charge you to take it off as well. Do not recommend.

Took my truck for an inspection today. I was treated with respect. The waiting room was clean. The service was straightforward. They treated my vehicle with care. The service technician friendly. I like what the new management has done to this business. It reminds me of the original business that has been an iconic presence in the neighborhood. Thank you again for the great experience. I look forward to using Auto Brakes for all my vehicle repairs.
