Went here for a mount & balance and also a carbon cleaning service same day. The service writer I dealt with was very friendly and gave a good explanation to all my questions. I was very satisfied with the results of the service and it also took less time than I expected which was nice.

I bought a 2023 VW Atlas with 35k miles. Unfortunately, there have been some problems with the vehicle. However, the team at AutoNation VW in Savannah did everything they could to resolve the issues with as little inconvenience to my schedule as possible. I really want to be upset about the problems I've encountered, but the reality is that all vehicles have issues at some point. I'm grateful that the issues presented themselves within the first couple of weeks of owning the vehicle. What sets AutoNation VW apart is how they handled the situation. The team was honest, upfront, and genuinely dedicated to making things right. Their professionalism and customer service made a challenging experience much easier to manage. I appreciate their efforts and would recommend them to anyone looking for a dealership that truly cares about its customers.

Long Review. 3rd edit: When we retrieved the car, we were met with an almost $6,000 bill. Yea, $6,000 for work that we did not approve. We asked to speak with the service manager and were told he was not in on Saturday. The service tech asked if we could come back on Monday to figure everything out. We adamantly declined and my partner informed them that their practice of doing work without authorization sucked. That had never been the way things worked with prior visits. We always received a call, text , a link to view recommendations, and then had to sign and approve the repairs and cost. We were furious. The service manager started this job 3 days prior. Michael, the service manager, came over and we talked(loudly) as we were very frustrated. Tensions were high. $6,000 of work without approval shocked us. Michael told us that when we dropped off the car and wrote on the slip that we technically authorized repairs then. I now know this wasn’t correct or legal from speaking to mechanics in the area. We refused to pay $6,000 so we sat down and came to an agreement that we would pay for parts and VW would eat the labor costs. Michael agreed that communication was severely lacking and that signing the stop off form was not legally binding nor should they have completed work without authorization. Cool. Still very upset but fine. We just wanted the car back. After leaving the shop, the check engine light continued to stay on and the car drove rough still. I contacted Michael personally and shared this. He asked me to bring it in. I dropped the car off on a Wednesday and received a text that the spark plugs need replacing and the coils needed cleaning. I feel like this should’ve been the first step before replacing the timing chain and other super expensive work. Anyway, we authorized and signed off. I called for updates but couldn’t get anyone so I showed up on Friday and David was very helpful. Side note: Please get David some help. He is so overwhelmed. I spoke with Michael and he approved for us to get a rental car on Saturday. He also apologized for our previous encounter and agreed to discount the spark plugs and coil cleaning. Our vehicle was ready by Wednesday and we paid $900 out of almost $2000. So he gave us a good deal. Michael did try really hard to make things right and even though we did not care for his attitude in our first encounter, we were impressed by his kindness and sincere apologies. I gave 2 stars because the whole situation was avoidable. All they needed to do was communicate. I understand lack of staffing plays a role in this whole situation but ultimately the customer was impacted. There is a serious lack of communication with this service department and I hope this is remedied. Edit: Received a message this morning that work was done without being given an estimate or update as to what was actually going on. Since that text message, we have not heard anything and attempted to text and call the service department. So, are we expected to pay for services when we were given no estimate? Any time I’ve had work done here, I am first contacted by the mechanic and given an estimate. THEN I approve the repairs. 2 stars because the service department has failed to provide any updates or even answer the phone since I dropped my car off Sunday. It would be really cool to get some kind of update. This is the second time VW of Savannah has failed in communicating. Last time, I had to call the sales department to get answers.

Savanna Volkswagen AutoNation Has been exceptional. I started with them in 2023 when I first moved to the area. They helped me find the right car and get me out of a challenging situation, and now they take care of our Service needs, even when they’re challenging and frustrating. They always pick up the phone. They are very personable, approachable, professional, and kind. These are amazing people. I would highly recommend!

I had such a bad customer service experience. The wait was long to drop my vehicle off, and many other customers were complaining. Zero communication about my vehicle over the week it was there. No one would answer the phone. Eventually, I had to get the General Manager involved. My car did get fixed, so that was good. Pick up was the same, long wait. Everyone complaining about the lack of communication with lots of excuses from the staff.

The entire team here is always amazing. So helpfully every time I go. Everyone is friendly and it’s just a great experience. Hands down the best dealership I’ve ever experienced. They almost feel like family when I walk in.

Thanks for your replies to my second reviewed of my issues. As you said you are the OWNER OF DEALERSHIP you should know what do to correct the issues to your customers and your employees. There is nothing else for me to contact one of your General manager to discuss and solve the issues like you said!!!! Your already told me you're going to order the parts missing on my vehicle 2 times and that's just a LIAR. My vehicle bought it from your dealership still under warranty and have a missing part. We let the Managers and sales person knew, they said they will (Take It From Another vehicle) and send it to me. I have been waiting for 3 months before I wrote a second reviews…. And with your responded…one of sales person contacted me after that and let me know the part missing on my car had been ordered… But one month later I still not receive it yet !!!! What else do you want me to contact your General managers? Fix your peoples, Stop Thieves and take peoples money. BBB Better Business Bureau will be my next complaint. By the way I has been ordered the parts, and arrive in 3 Days its cost me $88.99. who do I send the invoice to??? FREE LABOR. - THIS IS A SECOND REVIEW is for the OWNERS of Auto Naition VW of Savannah. Today is 04/03/24 after a month with my first reviewed.. than with your responded, and a message from your sale person name Michael Lowe said the parts had been ordered. But One month later it still Not Arrive to me yet. HERE MY FIRST REVIEWED . PLEASE read this review and let your family and friends know BE AWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU HAVE NO PLACES ELSE TO BUY A CAR. THEY ARE NOT HONEST PEOPLES THERE and they will take advantage of you any way they can. IT’S My Daughter first car for college!!!! I bought the 2021 camry xse in last September 2023. Shawn the financing Manager and his sale mans name Michael Lowe. They both tried to fool me on financing payments. They’re give me a financing paperwork and ask me to sign with a monthly payment $426.89 for 72 months after I put down payment $20,000 and financed amount of 12,236.71 with annual percentage he gave me 7.29% . ( We decided to took 72 months just wanted for my daughter she can afford a low payments and build up her credits) I told them my payment should be a little over $200 but not with the amount on the paperwork they give me to sign! when he saw me refuse to sign then he took it back to the manager and bring back to me with a new amount payments .This time is $374.23. I let them know it still not the correct numbers i should pay for 72 months. I show him my exactly payment should be $201.96 after i used my Calculator with 7.29% interest rate of 12,236.71. At this time he have to correct the payment to the amount I show it to him . 3 months later when my first oil change on the vehicle I bought from them I discover the bottom oil pan cover is missing. I came to the dealership and see Shawn and Michael to let them know it missing on the car . Shawn he told me he let Michael go ( find on another the car of their dealership take it and send it to me…. Really). I have been waiting for over 2 months and I also sent a text to Michael Lowe the sale man ask for the missing item they both promised send it to me! His last respond to my text 2 weeks ago he said ( I check with parts )… but never get back to me.

I actually broke down in Savannah with a bad oil leak on my Volkswagen. I called every shop and went by a few. Nobody had the time to service my car. AutoNation did have the time. Roy is awesome.

I gave a 4-star rating because while the overall assistance was helpful, my initial interaction with the representative that assisted didn’t feel very welcoming. I asked a question about something on the vehicle requested something specific and felt as though my question was dismissed or met with an attitude, which made me uncomfortable. A more approachable and patient response would have made the experience feel more positive and supportive.

I scheduled an appointment with this dealership because my car had a check engine light and was stalling. When I called, I was told they were booked out but could fit me in for an emergency appointment between 12–2 that same day. After driving an hour to get there, I was told they couldn’t get me in and that the call center had given me the wrong information. To make matters worse, I was told that if I had arrived earlier, they might have been able to help me since they had a break in their schedule earlier in the day. Overall, I was extremely disappointed after wasting time and making the drive only to be sent home without help.

The part needed to repair my vehicle is no longer made by VW. The car will not run without this part. I had a perfectly good car until this part went bad and now I’m stuck with a junk car because of a bad instrument cluster. My issue is more with VW than Auto-Nation. Bad engineering and poor customer service by discontinuing the production of the instrument cluster and not allowing any outside companies to produce them. I will never buy anything from VW again.

Always courteous!! Dropped my car off for an oil change & tire rotation. They gave me a quick ride back to work, then had my service completed within a couple of hours.

My experience with Volkswagen AutoNation was detestable and troublesome. I brought my vehicle in in working condition and now it isn't working at all. I've brought my vehicle in TWO different times within a week to be serviced and ended up having it taken back in due to it running hot. The general manager assured me at one point that the vehicle was in working condition because he drove it himself. I have been informed that the mechanic that was working on my vehicle is no longer employed with the company. Still today, I have not heard anything about my vehicle and it's been there since March. It's still sitting there unrepaired. The management is poor and needs to be reevaluated. The mechanics doesn't seem to even know how to do their job. I do not suggest anyone to come here to get your vehicle serviced because you will ended up leaving with more problems than what you started off with. My question for Volkswagen is where do we go from here with my vehicle being repaired? I want answers.

Not professional at all. My 7 month pregnant gf made and appointment weeks in advance to have her 2019 Volkswagen worked on. She goes there on her appointment day and time a one hour and 30 min drive they ask her if she can reschedule for another day that their two techs down. Don’t even apologize for the inconvenience. I understand things happen but being a business they could have call ahead of time to let her know. Or at-least show or concern for the major inconvenience .

Had a wonderful experience purchasing my new vehicle with Phillip and Shawn. Extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable, it was refreshing to not have the “hard sell” approach so often encountered at dealerships. Highly recommend them, and will for sure be back again for my next purchase.

Had to get an emergency battery replacement on a Friday morning right when they opened. The guys at the front desk were understanding and very kind to me during a very stressful morning, and got my battery replaced same-day in about 3 hours. They let me know my brake pads were getting low as well, but didn’t pressure me at all to get them replaced ASAP. Definitely the best experience I’ve had at a VW dealership. The coffee in the waiting room was also pretty good, haha.

Five-Star Experience with Shawn! Shawn was absolutely fantastic to work with. He made the entire process quick and easy got me in and out fast, gave me a great value on my trade-in, and worked hard to get my monthly payments exactly where I needed them. I drove away in a brand-new vehicle feeling confident and taken care of. If you’re looking for someone who listens, cares, and delivers, go see Shawn. Highly recommend!

Brought my car in this morning desperate for a battery change. From the beginning, every staff member was incredibly polite. Ernest was able to squeeze me in and a pleasure to work with from scheduling my appointment to paying my balance. He even recommended me a boujie spot to try on my next evening out! I didn't catch her name but the sole female salesperson was also very kind in speaking at length with another customer and even showed me a behind-the-scenes of a video she was making for the company. Every staff member I interacted with was very pleasant. Job well done, Volkswagen!
