If you are looking for a reputable shop that is well known for its experience with SAABs, Subarus, Exotics, and Euro vehicles in the Danbury area. Then this is the shop you want to work with for high quality and direct communication… Went in for a timing belt replacement on my 10’ Subaru Impreza two months ago and they got it done in half the time and for slightly less than expected. George the owner personally gave me a play by play of the replacement and listed several other things his technicians suggested getting looked at over the next couple months. I’ve also found Jean to be trustworthy enough to let me know when doing larger repairs are not worth it in the long run. Check ‘em out!

This place is great. I brought my Subaru in for a new clutch and brakes and the work was completed quickly. However, the issue with my clutch returned shortly thereafter. The shop was responsive and had me come in for a second look. After lubricating a throwout bearing, we went for a test drive together and I was reassured that if the problem reappeared "even in 10,000 miles" that it would be replaced at no further charge. We both had a suspicion that it was a defective part. Unfortunately, the problem did recur soon after. Once new parts were ordered and received, I brought in the car, was given a loaner car, and the repair was completed that day. Turns out that the part was indeed defective; the pressure plate had a bent prong. With the new, new clutch, my car runs great again. I am pretty thrilled to have a skilled, honest, efficient mechanic. Oh, and the dealer wanted 50% more for the same repair.

Most recently, I called him on Wednesday, brought the car in on Friday, and he had me out and going in a half hour. That's important to me as I bring my car to him from Manhattan!

I have been a customer at Autotech for a number of years. George, the owner, is a top mechanic and familiar with a variety of cars. He has serviced my Jaguar, Acura TL, Hyundai Sonata and Infinity QX. The main thing I like about how George operates is that he takes a common sense approach to repair. On more than one occasion, he will assess the issue with the vehicle as either a major safety issue, or unnecessary to fix - but he is always extremely informative as to what is going on with your vehicle. There is no pressure for additional repairs or possible unnecessary work. He gives a full explanation as to why a repair may be more or less compelling to repair. Autotech's prices are fair and reasonable and the quality of work is exceptional. I have never had to return to have something repaired a second time. If George commits to having a repair completed by a certain date - rest assured he will keep that commitment. You would be challenged to find a mechanic with more knowledge about so many vehicles than George and his team - while providing fair estimates and final pricing. I highly recommend Autotech as a trustworthy, honest repair facility. You will experience high quality work and leave with a solid understanding of what was repaired, why it was needed, and great peace of mind knowing you can trust your mechanic and quality of car repair.

George and his team are very good, honest mechanics which are hard to come by. I have not met anyone in the area that approach their attention to detail and quality of service. When I bring in my 9 year old Saab or 2 year old Subaru for service, I know I am getting an honest opinion on what needs to be fixed and how much it will cost. I expect with any luck that he will be servicing my cars well past 200,000 miles (the Saab has over 140,000 now). It helps that the brands he primarily services (Honda, Acura, Saab, Subaru - but he services others as well) are all reliable to start with, but when something does go wrong, he is able to fix it usually on the first try. I have known George for years even before he started his own shop and he has always been up front and honest - something very hard to find.

Autotech is the best place around. I have been a SAAB owner for almost 40 years and as such I know that George REALLY knows his stuff about cars - and, not just about SAABs. Their friendliness begins at the reception and it is as good as it gets. It is not one of those big polished places where it is obvious you are paying for the enormous overhead and the Brand Name. It is a place where you know you are paying for the highest quality of professional experience and expertise. I recently had a brake job completed and George sat down with me ahead of time and explained what the costs were and why. He advised me that he could do it cheaper but also mentioning the shortcomings. He takes time to understand what the car means to you. He takes the time to educate you. Another time I had a problem paring my radio in an older SAAB and George took the time to fix it at no cost. It is obvious they REALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND DOING WHAT IS RIGHT. It is about trust in the end. Based on the trust issue, their professionalism and friendliness, I highly recommend Autotech to anyone who wants the best done for their cars to make them last a long time. I could go on and on, but just trust me, they are terrific.

Autotech is Fantastic. Honesty, Extensive experience, Friendliness, Fairness, & Sincere care for the customer and their car, is what you'll get there. I've been a customer of theirs from a recommendation, for 6 years with a Subaru. George, Annie, & their crew are top notch. My last visit, George even brought out a part, without me asking, that needed to be replaced. To show & explain in detail why it had to be replaced & how he tried many ways to save it. He also explained things I could do to further help prevent the problem from reoccurring. All very much appreciated and educational. This kind of attention to detail and care for the customer is what you'll find at Autotech. I will always highly recommend Autotech, even if it's a little out of the way for the person. It is very hard to find this kind of service these days, especially for cars. Thanks to George, Annie, & Autotech.

I traveled from out of state and my car broke down during the fierce rain storm, necessitating me to stay in a nearby hotel. George has earned his reputation for being honest and accommodating. Despite a parking lot filled with other automobiles, he diagnosed and repaired my car immediately, thereby allowing to return home without having to stay in a hotel an additional night. If I lived near Danbury CT, Autotech would be my go to place. Many thanks to George and his staff.

George, Jean, and the team were amazing from start to finish. My car needed a new clutch, and not only did Autotech do a bang up job with the repairs, but George also took the time to educate me on the nature of the damage and what preventative measures I can take moving forward. He clearly cares about the vehicles that come into the shop. The car feels like a totally different animal from when I first got it! Replacing a clutch is never fun, but Autotech of Danbury made me feel like my car was in great hands. Their price was also very reasonable given the scope of the work. Autotech took care of multiple problems on my 2014 RRS. They’re able to source parts and do repairs in a short time frame; they’ll also work with insurance companies to ensure a headache free and seamless process. They are experts on Range Rovers which simplifies troubleshooting. I have great confidence in George and his team and will certainly go back for future repairs as well as oil changes and regular maintenance. I dealt with Jean while my car was in the shop; he was friendly and knowledgeable, and more importantly, he kept me informed throughout the process. These guys are trustworthy and will look to save you money. Hourly rate lower than dealers!

If you have a foreign imported car and you are taking it anywhere but this shop you are making a huge Mistake. If you have an older model foreign or domestic car you are making the biggest mistake possibl. I was taking my 2004 Audi into three different shops across Connecticut and New York To figure out an issue with the EVAP code. This shop was the only place that could find a solution to the issue This is just the beginning of the reason I am giving this place a five star review. The check engine light was cleared and I drove the car around to set the readiness in order for it to pass emissions. According to all of the AUDI forums and YouTube videos It was a matter of putting miles on the Computer and driving it a certain way. None of these techniques were working. Long story short the technicians at auto tech (I call them technicians because describing these people people as mechanics would be disrespectful) Got on the phone with AUDI and came to the conclusion that one of the computers needed to be addressed. As soon as the readiness was set Gene rushed the car to the emission shop where it passed. The customer service they provide matches the expertise that they demonstrate if I can give them 25 stars I would

I have three "old" cars: a Corvette, Mini, and a Range Rover Sport. I was always under the opinion, that , vehicles with this new technology had to be serviced, by a dealer, and therefore, you had to pay the "price". Fortunately, Autotech, is every bit as qualified, to do the repairs, as the dealers, at a dramatically reduced cost to myself. It's refreshing to find a trustworthy automotive mechanic that will address my car's immediate concerns but also let me know which services I should start planning for down the road and they do a wonderful job educating customers on routine maintenance to make our cars last longer and drive more efficiently. Dependable owner George oversees his team each day-always available on site as this is an independent "mom and pop" shop and Autotech makes it easy for me to want to support a local business. Excellent, timely work...there in a pinch! I've actually started using Autotech for not just my own car, but also for my husband's car and our parents' vehicles, too. Need an oil change soon? Has your car been making a funny sound or movement? Don't hesitate. Give them a call and stop wasting your time and money at expensive dealerships that don't care about their customers!

Danbury Autotech is the place to bring your car! Being a young woman I often feel hesitant going to any shop other than my local garage, but they've earned themselves another customer. Very honest and friendly guys with a good sense of humor. I brought in my 2008 Volvo for an assessment of my exhaust system, but they looked thoroughly at everything. My local shop wasn't telling me the full extent of what was wrong, never mentioning the amount of rust underneath or that my wheel bearing was bad (a sound I had been hearing for the better part of year and would bring up during oil changes, etc.) But these guys mentioned it after the first time looking at my car. Even from the initial phone call to make the appointment they were nothing but helpful and informative. I really appreciate George sitting down with me to go over what's wrong, and what to prioritize so I can safely drive my car while I shop around for something else. The quote they gave me is reasonable for what needs to be done. For the time being, I'm driving my fiancées car, but I look forward to returning to Danbury Autotech for the necessary repairs to my Volvo and future cars!
