My experience at Luis Auto was above and beyond. I just moved to Danbury and read the reviews for this shop. So I went because I had a clicking noise coming from the engine and was greeted by Maria at the desk ; she was professional, friendly, and respectful. Luis test drove my auto; told me what the problem was ; physically showed me the part needing to be replaced at the shop on another engine and fixed the issue saving me lots of money . No more clicking noises and I’m so thankful for the entire staff under the exemplary leadership of Luis . Happy holidays!

I moved to Danbury a few years ago and was a little tentative about finding a good auto mechanic. After trying a couple of locations and not feeling satisfied with customer service and work performed, I found Luis auto repair. From the very first day that I walked in, I felt welcomed. Luis explained why my car was shaking and making noise. Over the past few years I’ve taken my car to him for everything from brakes to turn signal paddle replacement and front end suspension work. His staff is always friendly and professional and their work is always outstanding!!!! Thank you for always making me feel great about getting my car serviced at your place. You are all awesome!!!!

I broke down on I-84 many hours from where I live. I was towed to Luis Auto Repair and I am so glad they are the shop I ended up at. I wish I could rate them ten stars. They would have earned it. Nice people who charged a very reasonable rate and did great work, quickly, to get me back on the road and home safely.

Luis automotive gives you an initial impression that quality mechanics and reliable service could be the service they provide. But beware of their use of non-oem parts that fail shortly after service is performed. The mistakes they refuse to own up to when they forget to tighten wheel lug nuts. These are only a few unfortunate occurrences I experienced as a customer over the years. Each time I'd make excuses for their mistakes until recently. I went to Luis for a creaking steering wheel when turning and slow responding brakes when I applied them. When I picked up my car everything appeared fine until further inspection. He said to me that he replaced the sway bars and bled the brakes. I said wait, you replaced my sway bars only two years ago and less than 12,000 miles. He responded saying, “hey, the part just failed”. I guess he used cheap non-oem parts as to why I'm getting it fix the second time in two years. A week later my front end starts to make noise. I looked around the car and discovered that my wheel lock lug nut was never put back on to the wheel, and when I returned the car he said I brought the car to him missing the lug nut. This place is the worst. This guy refuses to admit he made a mistake, and instead of making matters right he pushes blame on me. At this point I just want my front end fixed so I could be done with this place. I'll post updates about the repair if the noise starts again. Use this place at your own peril. You've been warned.

Excellent service, kind and honest staff. They're extremely knowledgeable and they take time to explain things to you and show you exactly what they see. The waiting room is clean and they are pretty quick, even when you didn't have an appointment in advance! This is absolutely the best place you could go for your car.

We were driving cross-country from Boston when our Jeep suddenly stalled near Danbury, CT. Totally stressed, we found Luis Auto Repair—and they were lifesavers! Luis and his crew got us in the same day, diagnosed the issue quickly, and had us back on the road in under an hour and a half. They even helped us maneuver our Jeep with a U-Haul trailer attached into the shop (no small task!). One new sensor and an oil change later, we were good to go. They were incredibly accommodating, honest, and efficient. Couldn’t recommend them more—if you’re ever in the area and need reliable service, this is the place to go!
