Air pump was out 9f service, but service rep took the time to bring a hose out from the garage & top off my air pressure bcuz I'd been getting a low tire pressure reading since temperatures have been sooo cold lately

Extremely overpriced. Wanted close to $300 for labor on a part I supplied. Local place didn't charge even half that. They will absolutely try to rip you off, avoid at all costs.

Frustrated but satisfied. I have decided to update my initial review and will explain why. My experience is as follows. I went in for an emergency on Friday morning. The location is just around the corner from work so I thought that was my best option. I drive at least 81 miles a day, and wanted to avoid putting the donut on. I stopped in, told the associate at the counter I needed my driver-rear tire replaced. She helped me decide on the middle-of-the-road grade tire, and I was satisfied. Got my car back in a reasonable amount of time. Upon pulling in to pick the car up, I noticed the new tire on the rear-passenger side. I didn’t pay attention to the driver side tire because I trusted them to perform the work, and I assumed since the new tire was on the opposite side, they must have rotated my tires. I also noticed my low tire pressure light was still on when I got in the car. The next day, Saturday, I noticed the huge spots on my driver-rear tire that brought me in. I called right away and spoke with the assistant manager. After looking up my transaction in the computer, he said it stated my passenger-rear tire. He put me on hold and came back. He said he spoke with the associate who helped me initially. She helps a lot of people with tires through the day, but she was pretty sure I told her passenger-rear. She later said she enters the information as the discussion is occurring, so she felt it was not possible for her to make this mistake. The assistant manager told me the truck that picks up the used tires had already been in so he couldn't offer me my old tire back. He said the best he can do for me is 20% off another tire, the system would not allow anymore. I noticed a $30 off coupon if I sign up for emails, and he said I could use that also. I took my car back in to get the bad tire repaired Monday morning. I was willing to take a lesser quality tire than the one I purchased to get the bad tire replaced, but after the 20% and $30 off, it was a $10 difference, and they didn't have any of the lesser quality in stock. My frustration boiled because I did not feel these explanations were good enough, and I felt taken advantage of. I felt even if the associate who checked me in mistyped, the technicians should have questioned the tread that was left on the tire they took off. The manager explained to me it was not put on a lift due to just being the one tire, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt they didn’t see the condition of the driver side tire. I wrote reviews to represent the account, and gave one star. I just received an email from the manager giving further explanation. I appreciated him taking the time to further explain their thought process, and overall, I felt it was fair enough to edit my reviews. They did their best to bring the second tire down to 50% off, accepting 50% of the fault, with no way to really prove whose at fault. I am accepting my 50% as well. With so many things pointing to something not right, I should have investigated further before leaving the parking lot. I really appreciate the manager taking time to explain how they came to their conclusion, and why they felt this was most fair.

This place is always great but recently I had to get two new tires and was having a battery issue after replacing it. Alex took the time to check it out while I was getting the tires and realized I had a loose cable. He got it situated and not only is my car not having any issues, the tires are working great. Seems like a small thing but its huge for me. Now I don't have to go anywhere else. Thanks Alex. You were super friendly and did a great job! Will definitely be back to this location.

I can’t say enough good things about Belle Tire! They were absolute lifesavers during what could have been a disastrous start to our long road trip from Michigan to New Jersey. The morning of our trip, we discovered a flat tire, and panic set in—every other shop in the area was either closed, didn’t have our tire in stock, or couldn’t fit us in. We were on a tight schedule and worried we’d have to delay our trip or pay for a full replacement. Thankfully, Belle Tire came through for us! Not only did they take us in quickly, but they also repaired the tire instead of pushing for an unnecessary (and expensive) replacement. The staff was friendly, efficient, and got us back on the road in no time. Their honesty and professionalism made a stressful situation so much easier. If you ever need tire service—especially in a pinch—Belle Tire is the place to go. We’re incredibly grateful for their help. Highly recommend!

I went in to the Belle Tire on Ellsworth, got tires. They said I also needed new struts and control arms because the bushings were shot (very odd for a car with less than 40,000 miles!) for $2,200 (!!!!) I inspected it myself at home, saw nothing, and also took it in to Gerry's Tires in Saline for a second opinion. They took it for a road test and did a careful hoist inspection of my suspension... the car is fine, no issues. This Belle Tire is dishonest and predatory. They will hit you for a home run if they can. Run, don't walk, to some OTHER shop if you need tires or suspension work done.

They're either liars or inept. I no longer trust them. Got an oil change - which was 3x what you pay anywhere else BTW - and their multipoint inspection. Two months later, while changing the washer fluid, I noticed the cap in the coolant was missing! My wife brought it back in, and they said it wasn't their fault, that they wouldn't have touched this during an oil change. So they charged $70 for a cap. They said it was only an overflow ao there was no need to fill it (it was completely empty). Well, just 2 days later, the car had this strong burning smell!! I took the car somewhere else where they found the coolant was completely empty. It was irresponsible and negligent that Discount Tire didn't fill it when they placed a new cap. I ended up paying over $200 elsewhere for a flush, to clean burned apilled fluid, and refille the coolant. And on top of that, they overtightened all breakpads a while back, so now all the nuts are coming apart when taking them off. I no longer trust Belle Tire.

Went to Belle Tire on Ellsworth to fix a tire that had a screw-like metal object embedded. The attendant took one look at it and said it was too close to the edge for repair (true: MI law says it has to be more than 1/2 inch from the thread edge to be repairable, this thing poked out just about that distance away). Then the guy proceeded in selling me a replacement tire for $200 and I almost went for it. But since the tire hadn't lost any air, I wanted a second opinion. Took the car home, checked for an air leak around the object, didn't find any, pulled the object out with pliers. Turns out the screw wasn't very long at all and had been lodged in at an angle. The tire looks perfectly undamaged and hasn't lost any air in the two intervening weeks. Since Belle Tire could easily have done the same (i.e. pull out the screw), I must conclude that they tried to pull a fast one on me. BUYER BEWARE!

Beware coming here They tried to sell me on repairs my car does not need Went to this location for a quick tire repair. They performed a full-car inspection and told me a bunch of things wrong with my car including “streaking wipers” (They are brand new and not streaking). The sales person was not being honest and I definitely wont come back

Went to get my tires filled with air and I was having a tough time because the place I went to prior removed more air from my tires making them super flat, and John came out to help me fill my tires. (I’m 6 months pregnant and he kindly opened my door and told me to have a seat and he will take care of it). Thank you 🫶

Ann arbor Ellsworth has to be the worst belle your in history poor service and poorer customer service. Belle tire apologies man nothing 10am appointment and they don't pull me car in and 35 minutes after why does one need to make appointments if you will not honor them. Then you don't even let a customer know that things are to 40 minutes or so behind because your technician decide to come that work. The manager says he only learned fifteen minutes ago but the was fifteen minutes before I found out only after I inquired about my visible and thought form. Poor customer service the funny part is they some even care

10/5 Stars. These dudes here are absolutely amazing and professional at what they do! Alex went out of his way to find a specific tire I needed for a replacement, and even went as far as getting it to the shop and getting the swap done. Not to mention the tire machine they have! Got fancy wheels and don't want them ruined? Come to these guys. Met more of the staff as well during my visit and I've got to say, this shop is top notch! Will be taking mine and the families vehicles to Ellsworth Belle Tire every time.

My daughter took a flat tire into the shop (tires and wheels she bought at the shop) to get fixed. She had put a spare on her jeep and took the flat tire and her jeep to the store to get fixed. They fixed the flat but didn’t put the tire back on the jeep. She ended up having to change the tire again by herself because the employees at this store were too lazy to put it back on. Absolutely unbelievable they would do this to someone.

Terrible customer service experience! I went to this location in hopes of getting my tire repaired. I had dealt with months of my tire losing air due to a small leak that I confirmed with an at home soap test (it bubbled). I also had to use my own pump weekly to fill the tire. When I first came in, I was informed I could leave my car that evening and it would take 1.5 hours. Another employee walked over and whispered to the employee who was helping me and then moments later they both turned around stating I should come back in the morning and they couldn’t take my car. The whispering in front of me was terrible customer service on its own. The next morning I come in as I was told. A third employee questioned me because I didn’t have an appointment. I explained I was told to come in and pointed out who told me. They took my car to check the tire. Just a couple hours later I was called and told there were no issues with my tire. I explained the issues I’ve been having with it and the employee just said ‘well we didn’t see anything wrong’. That it was just the cold weather as if I don’t understand how tire pressure works. Cold air doesn’t cause a tire to go from 32 to 19 consistently. Well, I took it to another shop and they were able to fix it for me in one day. No hassle. I’m not sure why the employees at this location didn’t want to help me. I don’t know why they wasted two days of my time if they didn’t want to do the tire repair. I am actually due for a full set of tires this year and obviously will not be coming to Belle Tire for that purchase.

Saturday late afternoon/early evening I picked up a massive bolt in my tire right down the street from Belle Tire and it happened to be 10 minutes before they closed. They were extremely helpful and put my spare on. They kept the wheel and tire and fixed it Monday morning when they opened back up since they were closed Sunday. They didn’t have to go out of their way to help me so close to closing time but they did which was really amazing. They patched the tire for free which I did not expect and I picked the wheel and tire back up this morning and took it to work. I put it back on there since I had my own tools and didn’t have a lot of time to wait this morning. I appreciate all the help and great service. I really want to thank everyone there for their help when I was stuck in a bind Saturday. I’ll recommend this place to people if it’s anything wheel or tire related. I drive a tow truck for a living in Ann Arbor and I get people asking for recommendations all the time and this will be the first place I’ll recommend. Ive had mixed interactions at other places around town so it’s nice to have first hand experience with certain shops and situations like this. It’s important to me that my customers are taken care of by honest repair shops when I’m asked for a recommendation. This experience went a long way with how I feel about recommending them.
