This place is the only place we will go to. The rates are posted on the wall and the staff is honest and friendly. They will tell you what is recommended and know what is needed for your smog check to pass. All the staff has been upfront, friendly and professional. I’ve seen some of the reviews here and expectations vary but posting that the gal up front sounds like she’s 9 and can’t answer too many questions is nonsense. She’s a professional young lady. I’ve seen someone get upset (while I waited for my car) because they had to pay the dmv certificate fee and got rude with her and she kept real calm and professional. She’s not the DMV. She’s not charging the fee for herself. She like any other professional person wouldn’t want to answer too many questions as you can’t say what type of repair is needed over the phone and she’s not a mechanic. Again they are friendly, upfront and honest and I’ve never had to take my car back because a repair was not done properly or because they didn’t address something else that needed a repair. Its why we only take our cars there. They’re not like the dealerships that will say something is needed when it’s not and are not like other repair shops that will fix what you took your car there for without letting you know that there is something else that they noticed needs repair and will let you drive away only to have to return for another repair since they weren’t upfront. Honest, upfront and friendly.

We had a bit of a hiccup, however the owner worked with me and completed the job way faster than expected. I was a very upset person coming in, come to find out my warranty was a month over. They contacted their vender and got them to replace the part. I appreciate you working with me.. please, see update of review. I was trying to be the nice guy here, but beware. Not satisfied, out 4tows and a grand then had to do it myself!

I have to tell you that Best Valley Smog truly lives up to their name. They were able to diagnosis and repair a problem with my vehicle that started two (2) years and three other smog repair companies were not able to resolve. Best Valley Smog resolved my issue on the first day and for less than what I was expecting to pay. It passed smog the following day after I drove it for a 100 miles to reset my system. I am completely confident that they can help you with any vehicle repairs you might need.

This shop is awesome! They’re always on top of it and even go out of their way to accommodate me always no matter how busy they may be... We travel from San Bernardino with all our cars to take to Phillip because it’s a guarantee it will be taken care of and done right every time! Highly recommend Best Valley Smog... Their mechanics are very knowledgeable in all they do, plus I don’t expect the secretary to answer mechanical questions like I’ve read on other reviews here... She’s very nice and helpful, and seems to do her job just fine when I stopped by last week!

My experience with this shop was so good. Initially, I went in because I needed a failed smog test for the DMV. The check engine light was on so I knew it would fail. They asked if I knew why the light was on and I explained my situation to them, which is that my catalytic converter had been stolen about a year ago. I had Pep Boys run a diagnostic about a week prior to my visit and it turns out the catalytic converter was not functioning properly. Pep boys mentioned the welding job wasn’t great. Best Valley checked it out for me and actually told me that the catalytic converter installed in my car was not only installed with a poor welding job, but the converter itself was not compatible with my car. Phil gave me so much information on what to do if the original place I had the catalytic converter replaced at wouldn’t help me. I reached out to my insurance about it because I wanted this done as cheaply as possible as I don’t have a couple grand that I can just drop on this and it wasn’t even my fault. My insurance handled it and told me to take my car to the shop of my choosing and I actually chose Best Valley. My decision has a lot to do with the fact that Phil’s customer service is so stellar. Everyone who works there is actually really kind, but my interactions were mostly with Phil. It took about a month to get my car fixed but that’s nothing to do with Best Valley, but rather because of my insurance. Best Valley was very patient with that process and Phil would reach out weekly just to give me an update on where they were with my insurance and what not. Additionally, they not only fixed my catalytic converter, but the under side of my front bumper was hanging down and dragging on the road so i had to use zip ties and electrical tape to hold up the front bumper so the bottom part won’t drag.I just like didn’t have the money to deal with it and I was already stressed because of the catalytic converter, I still need new breaks, I need to get my A/C fixed, I need an oil change, so anything cosmetic can wait. When they gave my back my car, Phil said that THEY FASTENED THAT BOTTOM PART BACK UP FOR ME so that the bottom metal pieces under the bumper don’t drag on the road. And they didn’t make me feel stupid about it either. I didn’t feel like they were judging me and the help was so genuine and appreciated. This shop is literally a godsend. They truly care about their customers. This is the only place I will go to from now on for any of my car needs. Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had, from the customer service to the work on my car.

Went today to get a smog, car was there for 4 hours was told didn't pass due to the TCM, just replaced the TCM, brand new, mechanic inspected and tested before going to this smog only place. Now the check engine light has come back on. Reporting them to BAR. Something is fishy with this business Edit: I was told I would notified when the car was ready, a text from your business at 1pm saying thanks for the service is all that I received at which point my car was picked up. I would definitely upload the screenshots to prove it.

My car wouldn't pass smog and my check engine light was not on. They explained everything that it could be and that it couldn't be and gave me options which I appreciate. So they ran a diagnostic found the problem. They were very upfront with me didn't try to overcharge me or make money off of me I will always take my car there from now on

I went in for a smog check and ended up needing to come twice. The first time, my car didn’t pass due to recent maintenance and needing to be driven more miles. The service attendant clearly explained the issue and offered me a discounted rate, letting me know that when I returned for the retest, it would also be discounted if the car passed. I drove the vehicle as recommended and came back—this time it passed with no issues. The overall price was very reasonable; I paid about $60 and some change. Each visit was quick, and the staff was helpful. Cash is definitely better at this location if you want to avoid the card fee. Overall, great service and smooth experience!
