Big Nick's did a thorough inspection on my vehicle, which included multiple tests of my transmission throughout the day to try and diagnose a potential leak. In the end, they discovered no leaks and quoted me for a different repair that they ultimately completed for less than they originally quoted, and well below their competitors had quoted me for the same job. I felt very appreciated as a customer and plan to use Big Nick's for all my car service needs in the future. Integrity and customer service at that shop is top notch.

My car was damaged during a winter storm (plastic got caught on the concrete parking stop covered with snow) and I took it to Big Nick's Auto because that shop was recommended on Nextdoor. Nick and I discussed the repairs which included 1) putting the plastic deflector part back in 2) re-attaching the bumper with possible replacement of the bumper cover/spacers and 3) securing everything with quality clips. Two weeks after the repairs were done, I noticed weird noises coming from the front - turns out the bumper and the fender liners came loose, rubbing against the tires, and severely damaged. Came to see Nick and he started saying that we discussed replacing the liners (we didn't because they weren't damaged before) and that I damaged the car (which I didn't). After I started arguing with him, Nick became erratic and demanded I leave the shop...all in front of his other customers ;) No attempt to repair the damage he caused or even discuss it. I took the car to 2 other body shops - who actually know what they are doing - and they confirmed that the repairs done incorrectly. That cost me time and hundreds more to repair. I don't know what "Big" stands for, but it's not skill, professionalism or customer service. Avoid this establishment and use someone else, there are plenty of shops who care about their customers! UPDATE: As expected, the owner didn't even read my review properly and just repeats the same lies. The liners were never discussed because they were INTACT. And I never argued about the price or what needed to be done, I wanted everything to be done correctly. Aside from the bumper, the most important ask was to replace the clips that fell out (not just from the bumper assembly!). Per invoice, Nick replaced 1 (ONE) clip which cost me 50 cents. What kind of quality can you expect from a 50-cent clip? Of course everything fell apart.

Dropped my Excursion off for AC work and had asked to look the truck over. I new the front end has a Knocking noise. They discovered the front end needed some work and it wasn’t safe to drive. After replacing the upper/lower ball joints, sway away bars etc it’s fixed. Today when I picked it up Nick showed me a picture of the Drivers side U joint was so bad had it broke I’d be spending a lot more plus the safety of the vehicle. Thanks to the Big Nick’s team for getting me back on the road. 1st auto shop I’ve found that hasn’t tried to take me for a ride.

Just wanted to take a moment to give thanks to this great local shop. I have been going here for several years to get my oil changed and they are always friendly, fast, and do great work. I recently thought there was an issue with my car when I had multiple warning lights on and issues with my battery. I took it to Nick and Jamie and they checked it all out. Turns out it just needed a good charge which they did. Not only did they not charge me for the diagnosis and time it was there at the shop, they had sent me home earlier in an Uber on their dime. I will make sure to keep returning to Big Nick's for all my auto needs and will be recommending this awesome and honest shop to others! Keep up the great work and wonderful customer service!

The Best Local Shop - Professional, Personable, Kind, Reliable and Honest Pricing. The humbleness and honesty of the Owners, Nick and Jamie are beyond comparison. Their entire team is just like them! During my last visit, Sean and Payton not only put my mind at ease, used laymen terms so I could understand, they got me in and out quickly. Thank you Big Nick's Auto for making me feel like a priority!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. DON'T GET SCREWED OVER AND GO TO BIG NICK'S FIRST!!!! Earlier in the day, my car would not start at all. I paid for and received a false diagnosis on my car by a mobile mechanic. I felt that something wasn't right so I called Big Nicks. I have never used them before, I recently moved into the neighborhood and my wife and I drive by their establishment often, so what the heck I gave them a call. I spoke with Nick on the phone and described my issues and diagnosis. He IMMEDIATELY called BS and told me to get the car to him. I had it towed in and after a quick diagnostic I was told that it was a fuel pump. I was given a quote, No pressure. I took about a half hour to decide and called them back to go forward. It is now 6:30 pm and I am home with my repaired vehicle. Big Nick, Jamie and the rest of the crew are very professional and honest. I will use them again in the future.

First time bringing in one of our vehicles for service after our regular shop degraded in service. Our neighbor who also left the same shop recommended Big Nick's. Had an Oil Change and tire rotation at a very reasonable price. Pleased and impressed they did a full inspection on the initial visit to benchmark the vehicle. The front desk staff was out for an appointment so one of the techs was challenged with entering the vehicle and charging for the service. They called another employee for help, and after proclaiming, "I'm a mechanic, not a computer guy.". He pushed through and completed the transaction to my amusement, being a computer guy. Well done, we will return with our other vehicles.

Called in to Big Nick's yesterday and received a quote of $240-$300 just to change the front rotors and smooth the brakes. Took my car in this morning and the quote just went up to $315 just for the labor (an hour job) and $125 for the rotors. The lady at the front then said it would probably come up to $600. WHERE ARE ALL THE GOOD MECHANICS AT THAT DON'T OVERCHARGE YOU? I previously took my BMW to the Brakes Plus across the street which is where I paid them $1,500 to change the front brakes and rotors -- and have to replace them already. Because I didn't trust Brakes Plus to do the rear brakes I did them myself -- replaced my rotors and brakes. Guess I'll have to do a man's job again to replace my front rotors myself. Mechanics are just not how they used to be. The owner text me with very rude texts. I NEVER said you tried to rip me off I said YOU tried to jack the price up from what you quoted my son yesterday. As a customer I get to choose NOT to pay the new amount you quoted. Others don't have to believe my review of Brakes Plus just look at their reviews. I'm sure your work is great but I didn't like the switch up on the quote. I'm not talking bad about the shop, just my experience. You never set an appointment up either, you just stated "drop the car off anytime after 8:00". So nothing was ever set in stone for you to do the work. Little tip for you -- maybe try to talk with the customer to come to a reasonable solution to the issue instead of going off the hinges by texting the customer rude comments.

Took my car in for an AC diagnosis he told me it was going to be over 300 for the service which was fine for me, turns out I need a new compressor and he only charged me a hundred, he also vacuumed down the freeon so I could repair it myself or if I had it done I wouldn't get charged for freeon. Out of all the shops I've been too this is my new favorite. No bullshit just up front honesty and quick work. I hate that I found them so late because I'm moving in a few months but they will get my business until I'm gone. Highly recommend it here. Plus they have a shop dog you can hang out with lol

LOVE BIG NICKS!!! Best shop in town. They treat their customers with respect, explain what needs to be fixed with upfront pricing and don’t try to tell to upsell or fix things that aren’t needed. I take all my vehicles there and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Jamie keeps the shop running, so the mechanics can keep your cars running! What a great Team!

I had my car towed there after an issue with the electronic parking brake. I don’t think I’ve ever had better service or experience. Nick and his team were wonderful!

Consistently good work and customer service here! As someone who likes to do their own work and has dealt with plenty of untrustworthy and money minded mechanics, this shop is a breath of fresh air. Trustworthy, thorough and genuinely helpful team here. Thank you guys!

DRIFT ALIGNMENT GONE WRONG! My BMW E46 was driven in for a 4 wheel alignment with specific specifications. Nick states, "I have done lots of these before, I got you." The car was completed with 7 degrees of camber (see pic - before specs) versus the 4 degrees requested and a broken front bumper. We asked to talk to Nick in the back and ask what happened to the front bumper. Nick, who drives lowered cars as we all know said, "The car is really low, the piece that broke off is in the car - sorry". The car has since been brought to another shop for a proper alignment. See the before (from Big Nick's) and after specs in the pic. While I have had good experiences with Big Nick's in the past, well maybe he had an off day this day.

Can't recommend this shop enough. Fair prices, great quality, great service. Most of all, I trust Nick and his crew to do the right thing and give me the right advice. An honest man running an honest business. As long as I am living in this city, I'll continue to give them my business.

Big Nick's was recommended, was told I would be helping a young family starting a business out and they were in the neighborhood, closer than my normal shop so I went for it, what a huge mistake! Took car in because it was over heating, paid over $2300 for repairs only to have it break down 2mos later and less than 500 miles FOR THE SAME ISSUE! Big Nick's had it towed back to their shop and said all was under warranty, ok cool, but then after 2 weeks with little and forced communication I finally got it back after being told they weren't sure what was causing the issue & to "bring it by in a few days so they could check it" sure I have nothing better to do, after paying you over $2300! Got it home only to find it leaking badly, which it WASN'T DOING BEFORE, so took it back AGAIN only to be told they need to replace a head gasket for another $1700 or more, and it wasn't their issue because originally they couldn't check pressure or something else that made no sense! Doesn't matter, they should have diagnosed ALL of the issues correctly at the onset no excuses! There's a reason shops are AAA certified I'm going back to my normal shop that is AAA certified, where I have NEVER had an issue, and they were always honest with me, and told me everything involved with repairs even if they didn't find them until after repair work had begun. Big Nick's techs have Big issues!! Please do better research before chosing this shop, which already seems totally overwhelmed with the business they do have.

Okay I got a huge problem with this shop. I’m writing this 2 months after I came here and I need people to know: in late October of this year my car decided it wouldn’t hold an idle so I took it to get checked here at big nicks. Was told by the shop the problem was my spark plugs my coil and my pigtail on my piston and they needed to be replaced. Nicks told me it was going to be around $450 I agreed left my car with big nicks anuto and was told to come pick it up in a couple hours. Then I got a call telling me it needed to stay over night and I ageed. Next day I call around noon was told everything was fine and to pick it up around 5pm then I got another call that it needed to stay again. The following day I went down to the shop for answers only to be told they fried my computer and my car sounded like it was going to blow up! 😭 I broke down in shambles this small issue was now a HUGE ISSUE. Big nicks told me “to sell the vehicle on Facebook marketplace as soon as possible.” Quote from owner himself. He only charged me $45 and told me that. What the hell. So now it’s December and I fixed my car myself after dumping hundreds to fix what this shop did to my car. THIS SHOP FRIED MY COMPUTER. They put the wrong spark plugs in and also DID THE WRONG CYLINDER. It was #6 that was the issue and they messed with #4. I had my computer refurbished in North Carolina I had to get new plugs wires and coils plus a new battery. Non of this would have happened if I took it somewhere else or did it myself I’m warning people this shop is shady and they would rather tell you “sell the car as fast as possible” then hold themselves accountable for the damage and apologize. I’m so disappointed with this place. Unless you want to get your car back running worse than before or not at all come to big nicks auto. Ps my car runs perfect now cause I FIXED WHAT THE SHOP BROKE it’s a 2005 ford escape and she still has a whole lot of life in her. Thanks nick, for nothing.

I’ve been coming here for a little over 6 months, as a young woman, mechanics are tricky and I was recommended by a friend here. Nick and Jamie are truly one of a kind. Their dedication and effort into their business is clear, I have always felt so comfortable whenever I am there and they have always addressed all needs. Thank you for all that you guys do and if anyone is looking around for a new mechanic, 100% recommend them.
