I’m writing to formally address the way my recent service visit on November 26 was handled. My assistant brought my car in after AAA jumped it, and once it was dropped off, I received no updates — no calls, no texts, and no estimate — despite reaching out multiple times. Because your team never responded, my car sat unused in my garage over the entire weekend. I did not drive it because they did not have my information. When we arrived at your service department, the tire light came on. I told the service representative it likely just needed air. Later, my advisor Art told me there was a nail in the tire. The car had been fine until the moment we pulled into your service area. Nevertheless, I was charged $405 for a new tire. After speaking with my family — all long-time Carlsbad BMW customers — we agreed the charge was unreasonable. The only reason the car was in my possession for six days was because your team failed to provide any communication. The car was parked, unused, waiting for a response. I called the service manager and received no return call. When I went in personally to dispute the charge, Art was polite, but Manager Matt was openly rude and dismissive. I raised a legitimate concern that the nail could easily have been picked up in or around your industrial service area. Instead of acknowledging any gray area or offering even a partial compromise, he chose to be sarcastic as I left his office, telling me he wasn’t going to “pay for my tire.” I reminded him it wasn’t my tire I was asking him to pay for . My family and I have been loyal BMW customers for years and have purchased multiple vehicles from Carlsbad BMW. I was planning to purchase another car in the near future, but this experience has seriously changed my view of your dealership. For comparison, I took my car to Hugo’s afterward — they diagnosed and repaired everything in four hours, not six days. The lack of communication, the unnecessary delay, and the rude treatment I received are unacceptable from a dealership that claims to value its customers.

I always have a positive experience at BMW of Carlsbad. The excellent service begins when I drive in, then working with David is exceptional, and finally the mechanical work is superior. My car is delivered to my in great condition & is washed/clean. I live very close to a different BMW location but drive an extra 25 minutes to the BMW Carlsbad location because of their superior service.

Went in for normal maintenance and my "drive train" light went on. Due to a calendar error, I came in a month earlier than my appt. However service person was able to take of me. I was provided a car loaner. I thought it was going to take a few days, however technician was able to perform all the needed task w/in a day. I was able to pick up my car the following day. Great Customer service. I bought my BMW from Carlsbad BMW even though this dealership is farther than the other BMW dealership near my house. Very glad I bought from Carlsbad BMW.

I got a call last Wednesday from BMW , In Carlsbad. Barb let me know that I had a part that came in, That was available for install as a recall item. She offered me several dates and times to come in. I scheduled for two days later, Friday at 10:30. I get a chance to meet Barb and she took me to meet my service advisor Ramon Ramon gave me his personal information, and gave me all assurances that he was there for me for any questions, advice or service issues. I feel comfortable in asking Ramon whatever questions I had. While the car was in, BMW did a complete scan to make sure everything else was good, while it was in there. While I was willing to wait, BMW offered a Uber ride back to my home and even picked me up when the vehicle is done, a few hours later. The vehicle was even washed after last week‘s rain. I appreciate the staff here, From sales to service, each employee feels respected and a valuable part of the AutoNation group and BMW of Carlsbad. I look forward to a long relationship, knowing my vehicle is well taken care of. My recommendation is you should give them a try as well. Ray M. 92009.

They have a nice sitting area for waiting guests and they have a lounge area with complimentary coffee. Brian Chartier has been my service adviser since, and he has been great to my and my wife.
