Review of BMW of Lincoln (Husker Auto Group) – Service Advisor Rudy Reyes BMW as a brand has invested decades of time, money, and effort building a true luxury reputation. As an owner of multiple BMW vehicles over the past ten years in different countries, I have consistently experienced not only high vehicle quality but also professional, respectful service — until my visit to BMW of Lincoln. I recently relocated to Lincoln from Florida with my 2021 BMW X1, and it was time for scheduled service. Unlike in Florida, the BMW app here does not display service pricing (it shows $0). However, I received a personalized promotional offer from BMW of Lincoln for an oil change at $119 (February 2026 special). That worked for me, and I scheduled the appointment through the app. Upon arrival, Service Advisor Rudy Reyes attempted to charge $130 for the oil change instead of the advertised $119. When I showed him the personalized offer, he initially claimed pricing had changed, then suggested I come back another day because he needed manager approval for the $119 price (the manager was allegedly unavailable). After I explained that I had already taken time to come in specifically for the advertised offer, he suddenly agreed to honor the $119 — without needing any manager approval after all. From the very beginning of the appointment, I sensed clear negativity simply because I insisted on honoring the written offer. After the inspection, I was recommended to replace the cabin filter for $168 and the engine air filter for $127. The parts themselves retail roughly between $30–40 and $15–80 respectively, and replacement takes about 10 minutes without special tools. When I declined these services at those prices and expressed that they seemed excessive, Mr. Reyes responded unprofessionally. His response included statements such as: “If you don’t like our prices, don’t come here.” When I referenced the earlier pricing issue regarding the oil change, he told me to “leave.” I have never experienced this level of disrespect, pressure selling, and dismissive treatment — especially not from a dealership representing a luxury brand like BMW. As a long-time BMW owner, this was extremely disappointing. Additionally, charging an extra 3% fee for credit card payments — one of the most common payment methods — feels unnecessarily petty and not aligned with the premium brand image BMW promotes. My rating: 0/5. I strongly recommend avoiding this BMW representative.
