My family and I experienced something interesting with Boulder Nissan. We traded in two Nissans for a more suitable Nissan truck for Colorado. However, their team’s communication and consistency was lacking, especially when important details were not relayed effectively. While it’s understandable that things change, the company shouldn’t conflate issues with the customer. I had expected much more consideration and empathy, but instead, I felt like I had done something wrong.

Do not buy a used car from this dealership they will sell you a lemon and try to pass it off like they did a 121pt inspection when they did not, they let me drive off the lot with a broken axle, and then didn't get back to me for over a month even though I emailed and called multiple times, Then When Ed Olsen finally got back to me they agreed to fix it which made me think great this place is awesome. but then when I came to pick up my car after numerous conversations with the parts department to make sure they did a thorough check of the rest of the car, I felt a vibration I hadn't felt before when driving the car, I drove straight back this time and had him drive it with me, he said he didn't feel anything an that those vibrations were normal, but if I didn't believe him to take it for a second opinion, which I did, and it turned out that those vibrations I was hearing were my back shocks that had been leaking oil for months, and since I had only had the car for barely a month an driven less than 500 miles this was an issue before I even bought the car, so either the mechanics are incompetent and didn't see two major issues this car had or they didn't actually do the inspections like they said, I once again emailed Ed Olsen about this as well as two other managers I had been speaking with and was told by Ed that I could get it fixed somewhere else and that it wasn't his problem and he was no longer going to be answering my emails. so just be aware that this "family business" is not your family and they will sell you a lemon of a vehicle if you aren't careful or are too trusting like I was.

Coming from experience with getting service at Audi, Tesla, and Acura - I am impressed with Boulder Nissan! Friendly staff and really prompt service! I was only getting an inspection done on a new-to-me Leaf, as well as fixing the common axle lock nut issue, but it was in and out in under 3 hours. Elsewhere I’m used to it taking 3 hours just for the car to get pulled into the shop. The waiting room is also really nice; not posh like many of the other dealers I’ve been to - but clean and well maintained, and the corner office booths are the nicest amenity I’ve ever had at any dealership. Really makes working while waiting a breeze, and way better than hunched over some table.

UPDATE:::: BE AWARE: I purchased a vehicle from them in November and now 3 months later I am looking at a very pricey repair for something that came out of no where. No warranty (that’s on me I guess). And I get that cars can do this, but just want to add this bit of information. Roman was wonderful to work with, as well as, everyone we came into contact with here. Overall, it was a very pleasant car purchasing experience! I don't typically like car dealerships. I find them pushy, dishonest, manipulative, and generally people who like to waste time. My experience at Boulder Nissan couldn't have been any different. We bought a used car from Boulder Nissan this weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Rick was our sales consultant and was caring, responsive, and very not-pushy. He helped us through each step of the process, answered all of our questions, and found help to answer other questions that he didn't know the answer to. He didn't try to BS his way through things and was both thoughtful and respectful throughout. During the process we also worked with Joey who was the sales manager. Joey went above and beyond to help us get everything handled in the time and manner we needed. By the time we got to the finance department, we were in and out in 20 minutes. On the day we received the vehicle, we were at the dealership for less than an hour to complete the sale. We had such a great experience that we just purchased another car from them, again from out of state.
