We took our car in for a 120 mile service. We were told ahead of time the price and that they would have a loaner car for us to use. Once we arrived not only had the price gone up but there was no longer a loaner. When we went to pick up our vehicle we were informed that things were not done due to them not having the equipment and were then handed an estimate for nearly 6k worth of additional work we supposedly needed. Because we have never had a check engine light we opted for a second opinion only to find out that only one thing on their very long list needed to be done saving us nearly 5k. Treating your customers like they are stupid may of worked in the past but not this time.

My overall experience was greater than I could've hoped for. Both the staff and service were excellent. They are all very friendly and passionate about what they do. No cheap tricks here - they don't charge you for things not necessary or try to upsell you. They're straight to the point, and I gotta hand it to them, it's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic these days. Thank you for being one. I will definitely be coming back.

Loved my experience at Bowen Street Garage. They were super helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had a ride to and from the garage if needed. We had to get the timing belt and water pump replaced and we had done extensive research on pricing. They were EXTREMELY reasonable by far one of the best quotes we had gotten. The customer service was fantastic. The woman working in the office was super fun and explained everything they were doing in detail and handed us a sheet with all of the information itemizing EVERYTHING you were paying for so it really made sense how they got to the price. I would absolutely recommend Bowen Street Garage. They have earned our exclusive business for sure!

Absolutely the best place to have any planned or unplanned work done on your car! I bring all of my vehicles here and have never been disappointed. I always know exactly what's needed, what my options are, and the work done is exemplary and always done in a timely manner. They use factory parts for my vehicles and don't charge nearly as much as the dealer, and they stand behind all the work they do. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my cars!

It's good to see all the positive reviews. I didn't get a negative feeling when I was there. The people were kind and the shop looks well supplied indicating a professional setting. The loaner car helped me stay working too. That was helpful. I do handyman work to make my living. The webpage says professional service at an affordable price. I can't attest to professional because the shop only replaced the DEF emissions fluid injector and ran a quick diagnostic that I was told the mechanic knew right what the problem was. Replacing the part would have taken me 15 minutes to do here at home. The part I could get for less than $125. There are two bolts that need to be removed and two quick release connections. Then put it back together just as quickly. All told it's hard to imagine it would have taken more them 1/2 hour including bring in the truck and lifting it to do the work, then park it back on the street. Bowen street Garage charged me a total of $769.31. $212.40 to remove and replace the injector, $358.61 for the injector itself and $167 to do the diagnostic which I had done at the auto part store for free and it took them less then one minute. My wife told the garage gives a discount for new customers that I never saw. They gave it to her and her daughter is how she knew. As well I told them my wife referred me to them and from what I have read on other reviews the referrer has been given a free oil change. That never happed either. I could care less about the new customer discount or the free oil change for the one who referred me to them but when I add up the $#s and the time it should have taken I can help but feel like I was taken. First time coming after thoroughly reading their reviews. Liz who coordinated logistics was an absolute delight. I’m someone quite intimidated by mechanic shops but I felt very comfortable here. I had oil changed and brakes replaced and was able to be scheduled quickly and my car was complete within hours. They even had a courtesy loaner available that was a life saver during the work day. While car maintenance cost is never fun, their prices were transparent and reasonable for my bronco sport, especially after if felt like pulling teeth from other mechanic shops in town to simply receive a rough estimate for services. I love supporting a quality, local business and am glad I came here. Definitely would recommend!
