I was referred here by a friend, and I cannot say enough good things about not only the integrity of the employees, but the quality of the work they did on my FJ. John was professional, had a wealth of knowledge, and was straightforward about my options, then let me choose what worked best both for my budget and offroad needs. Since my vehicle is lifted, he had to do extra research, and I appreciate the time and effort that it took for him and Tony, the general manager, to put an estimate together. My FJ is a 2007 but when I drove home after they completed the work, I felt like I had a new vehicle. I am so, so pleased with everything they did. One of my biggest fears when something goes wrong with my vehicle is that my lack of knowledge about "car stuff" will be taken advantage of, and I am thrilled to have found an honest shop that I can confidently recommend friends to, and bring my vehicle to in the future (which will be soon, as I have a few other things on my maintenance list I've been holding off on). If you are looking for an honest shop to work on your vehicle, look no further. I'd give them 10 stars if I could :)

Got a second opinion on my brakes. Tony gave me the same measurements as the dealership and did not rec replacement at this time based on how my car was driving. Plus I’ve had no issues with grinding or squeaking. I was so appreciative of his honesty, deferring the work until it was indicated. I will definitely schedule my brake job with these guys in a month, simply because of their sheer honesty and work ethics. Thank you Tony!

Very thankful for honest mechanics! Brought my SUV in because I was feeling it shake when I drive down the mountain. I live in Northern Arizona but travel down to Phoenix and back very often. I thought maybe it was a brake issue but they said it was something much simpler and said I could wait to fix brakes for a few months. Thankful for Gerry and John G. being honest and taking care of me! I will be doing my brake repairs here in a few months.

Zero is not an option so... Things have changed. I've been a customer of brakes plus for 12+ years, 2 states, 3 cars etc. I've sang their praises as a family based company that treated me well FOR YEARS!! They are not the cheapest BY FAR, but I've always been treated well... Even white glove. Especially in Arlington TX... Anyhow, I visited this Tatum store the last couple of months... Tony was the manager. Happy with the work done, price, treatment. THIS was my first time at THIS location. I came back because of how well I was treated- this is NOT my nearest Brakes Plus. This time 1- I was rudely interrupted while telling the technician why I was there- I had called ahead to ensure they had time for my issue. Then 2- I was hit with 26.48- 3 times! Ok... That's the inspection fee to look at my radiator system. I guess he wanted to make sure I understood that??!! Had someone previously NOT had 26.48?? I asked where was Tony and was told he no longer worked there. Left the company. Hmmm... Long story short... I was asked how to start my car. Huh? You're mechanics right? You don't recognize a kill switch? Now I'm nervous... And told the NEW manager so. Jerry maybe? 3- I was told if I didn't trust them, I could take my car elsewhere. Really???! I was looking for some reassurance but... You ain't said nothing but a word player. Once diagnosed-, the water pump, I was asked to sign so they could begin the repair. WTH?? No way I'm staying here to pay almost $800 and I feel disrespected by the rude tech AND the manager??!! I called AAA Auto repair ( because I am a member) drove to 7th st and Bethany Home and got some RESPECT, and my water pump repaired for <$600!! THANKS Devin! I'm not slamming the whole chain, but this... THIS STORE... CLEARLY has a high turnover and CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE! oh... And I paid my $ 26.48... don't forget that!

I’ve been coming here for about 4 years now and in the past I’ve had the oil package and it’s been twice that my battery dies after my visit (they check your battery for the oil package) And I’ve left with no warning at all that my battery was dying but they want to change my axels for $700 plus and that they reminded me of. I won’t be coming here again sadly they need to be more organized and more trustworthy

I took my 2015 Ford Escape to Brakes Plus on the recommendation of 2 of my neighbors. I needed a diagnosis of the cause of a persistent engine noise and vibration. The manager, Tony Lundberg, was incredibly helpful and listened to my concerns. After a quick inspection , the team confirmed that the engine mounts needed to be replaced. Tony was upfront with the cost and timeline and there was no pressure to buy unnecessary services. He even offered a service to take me home while the work was being done. The repair was made ahead of schedule and my car is now silent and smooth. It is a great feeling to know that I have a reliable and trustworthy place to service my car in the future. 100% happy with my first ever visit to Brakes Plus. Was helped by Jerry & Jason. Both guys were knowledgeable, trustworthy and easy going. Went in for an oil change, brake replacement/flush because they quoted a fair and great price. Didn't end up needing brakes done yet. Called and they wouldn’t give any sort of rough estimate over the phone. Told me to come by and they’d “take care of me” walk in and I’m told I need to wait 45 min so someone can take a lunch and everyone else is “busy”. Would be lovely to let customers know they need an appointment or that there could be a longer wait before driving down. Please communicate proper expectations so people can know what to expect.

Gave me a couple different options that I had for my breaks and mentioned I could go the cheaper route (you could tell they were just informing me) and I wouldn’t have any issue but I wanted everything done the right way so went the overall route.
