I have had several repairs performed here and have always been happy with service. The employees are both friendly and upfront about what needs to be done on my car versus what is optional. I thoroughly trust the staff here and highly recommend this service station.

The guy at the counter was super friendly. I needed my tires rotated and an oil change. Both things were done quickly. Oh and I also got some gas. I'd definitely go back!

Watch out. convenient but expensive (200$ for battery replacement). And an odd thing happened with this group: I took my car here to have the battery replaced and was asked right away if I wanted new tires put on. Said no thanks, paid for the battery and drove home. Next day, all of a sudden my front tire is completely flat. Hmmm. Odd. Brought it in, they took out the nail but wouldn't patch it. Said all 4 tires were cracked (would have had to take off all 4 tires to know that) and worn down and should be replaced. Showed a picture of my tires to a mechanic friend who said the tread on my tires looked fine, don't get new ones. Got one new wheel and high tailed it out of there. Wont be back.

I took my car here and they were going to charge me thousands of dollars for parts that did not even need fixed. When they gave me the quote, i was obviously in distress, and there was no empathy. So grateful that i took my car to get a second opinion. instead of spending over $2500 here, i only spent about $300 on the NECESSARY parts elsewhere. Also, after reviewing what they were going to charge me for, there were things listed that i was not even told about. Would not recommend unless you got a pocket full of mula.

I’ve been a customer of David’s for over 30 years and will continue because of his honesty. And I believe his staff at the station is following his example. They’ve always been very straightforward, listing the things that need to be done, and the recommended order I should do them. And he saved me money several times telling me about stuff that should be covered by warranty.

I would give them zero stars if possible. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO GET SERVICED HERE! NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE! Their follow-through, quality of work and timeless are all horrifically poor. We have given them our business twice over the past 3 years, under different management bc they are a local business vs giving it to costco or our car dealerships Lexus/ Audi. DO NOT DO THAT! they are late on having the car ready when promised 1-2 days. And their workmanship is poor. I had my tires changed and the car came back with an alignment issue - which it never had before. they don't take appointments and even when a problem is their fault, they do not prioritize your car. They also do not have many qualified technicians. NET-NET - DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE TO BE SERVICED. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I was absolutely impressed with their customer service. I was in a huge bind and Jeff and his team really came through for me. The only complaint I seem to have is that the cost seemed the cost was high, but Jeff explained that their service is covered by a warranty under NAPA auto nation Wide. If I were to ever get stuck in KC, I definitely be looking them up. Thank you Jeff. I appreciate your help, and the customer service.

I took my car here to get a safety inspection for my tag renewal. I spoke with Greg and he was friendly and helpful. They had my vehicle ready within the time frame they indicated it would be ready. I grabbed a business card on my way out as I would most certainly bring my vehicle here again.

I had a fantastic experience with this station. New to KC, I can unequivocally say that I will return here to get my car serviced in the future instead of going to the dealership! They are positive, trustworthy and their customer service is excellent!

These guys are very slow and do not actually try to figure out what is wrong with your vehicle and will over charge you for everything little thing and do very bad work. Would not recommend them to anyone, highly advise going anywhere else. Truck wasn’t blowing hot. I give my opinion as to what could be the problem as I’m pretty savvy around vehicles. Take my truck in and they call me 2 whole days later that it was fixed, pick it up only to find out it is still not blowing hot. Take it back in, they say the heater core is clogged, put a de clogger in and charged me again to do a simple heater core flush which they should’ve done then I first had it in, took a whole day and had to pick up next day. Take it back 2 weeks later to flush the de clogger out and they say it’s still not fixed and I need a brand new heater core and AC evaporator and quote me $2300, call another shop and get the same service quoted for $1600 and they charged me again just to run water through my system and tried to charge for an unneeded fluid swap which I hadn’t asked for and they didn’t tell me they were doing, they did remove that charge. Take my truck to the other shop and they diagnose my truck and find out the heater core was never the problem and fix the actual problem for $200 cheaper then what was originally quoted. So they were going to charge me $2300 to fix something that wasn’t even broken. Again do not use these guys! Edit: The owner of Brookside 66 did reach out to me and gave me a 100% refund for all of my visits. It was a very nice and unexpected gesture.

One gentleman at the station took maybe 5 minutes out of his day real fast to help with a quick issue with our hood latching correctly, and instead of having the car in the shop for a day or more it was taken care of right then and there. So thankful for the help we received the the customer service provided.

Awesome place. Recently diagnosed and fixed complex computer issues on my Land Rover LR3 and then didn't charge me because they felt like they took long to figure out what was happening with the car. Will continue to take my cars there for repairs and scheduled maintenance.

My son brought his car in for problems he was having. They charged $200 for diagnostic services, which I thought was high. When I told them that, they said "go ahead and get a competing diagnostic charge, and we'll work with you." We did, and found a diagnostic charge that was $110 at Brookside Rx. They dug in their heels and did not work with us on the diagnostic charge. My experience is that young people, and my wife, get taken advantage of at auto repair places. This place is no exception. I do not recommend them. (RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE below) A Brookside 66 employee told me he would work with me if I found the same service to be less at another service center. I found a diagnostic fee that was significantly less, and you would not work with me/my son. This is a matter of integrity. After reading other reviews, it appears I am not alone. That said, the work being done to fix the car at a very reputable garage is less than half of what your quote was. Integrity + Way too expensive + Customer Service (condescension) = Not going to you guys, nor will I recommend you.

I can not recommend this place enough! I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to cars so when I brought it in and explained the problems I had, they were so helpful! They took it on a test drive with me and then got it all fixed within a day. Greg, the service manager, was extremely communicative throughout the process and easy to work with. I will 100% be bringing my car in there anytime I need auto service.

Every time I need services I drop it off as early as possible and they say it will not take long and then call right before 5 and say it is ready or they couldn't get to it that day. I have even tried to make an appointment several days before and have been told to bring it in at 8 a.m. and they could get it done. Unfortunately, when 8 a.m. rolls around on the day we discussed, they say they are already full for the day after I've already taken off work. Their service is decent when they've actually worked on my car but despite living a minute's walk from them, the headache of trying to get anything scheduled or completed with them is just not worth it.

Got my car in diagnosed and fixed in record time. Cost was on the high side. Tried to sell me brake pad and rotor replacement. Said I was down to 2 mm. Took the car to another place and they said my brakes were good with 5 mm pad left and rotors were also good with minimal wear.

Needed a plug and patch on a tire. Dropped the tire off and they finished it same day and within a few hours, despite being clearly busy. Good price and customer service. They have free air compressors at every pump which is SUPER convenient (why don’t more gas stations do this!). Best part is that they are locally owned and operated.

I love this place! Its really an amazing thing to actually trust the business taking care of your car. I used to take my car to a large dealership in Lee's Summit but I always felt they were trying to squeeze as much money out of me as possible. Brookside 66 was thorough, friendly, honest. And service was fast! Best thing - they do have loaner vehicles. Saves a bunch of time and ride issues. I 100% recommend this place for all your car service needs!

Do NOT go here. I spoke with Greg and we agreed to a price of $1,000 to replace my starter, including $90 for the diagnostic test. When I called the next morning, he tells me they replaced some other part as well, even though no one had asked my permission to do so. He said it was only $56 (another lie -- I was charged $110 for the gasket that didn't need to be replaced), but then he told me the total was $1,356. I said "No, we agreed to $1,000." He tried telling me it was always $1,300, as if I'm stupid and just misheard him. I again said "No, we spoke on the phone yesterday, and YOU told me it was $1,000." I ended up having my dad call them since he's worked in that industry for decades. He was able to talk him down to $1,100 -- which is still not the original price we agreed to. Then, when I showed up to get my car, this man had the nerve to chuckle and say "You're dad struck a deal." What deal? That I still got swindled into paying $100 more? Do NOT go here. I will never go here again, and I will never recommend this place to anyone. I think it's disgusting when businesses screw people over like this. I'm sure I'm not the first and likely won't be the last, but hopefully I can help prevent someone else from falling victim to this place.

I scheduled online the day before, that was super easy. My appointment for the next day was quickly confirmed and they sent me an email. I was able to get there during the drop off time and they got my car in and out in under 30 minutes. I just needed an ID/OD. They were super kind and courteous and the entire process was painless! Great service, thank you!
