We took my car to get the water pump/thermostat fixed (idk which one is was they never told me what the actual issue was). It took them two weeks to get it fixed and on the day we were supposed to pick it up they said someone had managed to jump their “barbed wire” fence, break into my locked car and stole just my radio. The man i spoke to was very rude and said it wasn’t his problem and there was not anything he could do about it. He said filing a police report wouldn’t be helpful because it happens all the time, it’s a bad area of Visalia and that is it. No security. There were cameras but he didn’t offer any other information other than he basically wanted to be paid and didn’t want us to come back. I wish I could give 0 stars worst professional I have ever experienced.

A big thank you to this shop and their mechanics. I was on the verge of junking my car because no one could fix it, or they wanted too much money I couldnt afford the repair. They are honest men and do an amazing job, my car can now be used up the grapevine and on long trips and I appreciate everything they've done for me.

I would NEVER recommend this place i came in for a belt replacement and my car was in there for a good 4 days and i had not one update until i called and they told me they had to order a new pulley (never informed me) and on my way home from bryants and my belt snapped .. i called and they said "there was nothing we could have done to cause that" when i got home the pulley looked used , cleaned , and pitted .. and on top of that they charged me 280 for a pulley and belt replacement and i had brought in my own parts . Said they cannot refund me because "they could not have caused the problem" I will never ever bring a car nor recommend someone here

Saved my butt without hesitation! While visiting family in Visalia coming from San Diego, my check engine light came on Friday at 5pm. I called and they got me in and fixed so we could hit the road Saturday morning. Much respect for this family business. Can't recommend them strongly enough.

He was able to fix the sensor in my 2003 Saturn Ion within a week (time for the part to come in on a vehicle no longer made!) For barely $100!!! It took like 10 mins total too, and such a kind shop everyone was nice & not rude at all.

Charles has been my mechanic for almost 30 years. In that time i have never felt cheated or taken advantage of in any way, Charles has always gone out of his way to find the best and most economical way to fix my cars. highly recommend

A solid family owned business that does great work and doesn't screw you over. They are easily worth twice the amount they charge. You'll find that Charles (owner) is the "family mechanic" for a lot of families for a good reason.

Took my car in for a diagnostic test. After hearing what my problem was they did a test drive and reset something and sent me on my way. They took the time to explain what they felt was probably the issue and said drive it and if the issue came back, come back in and they would do a more extensive check. Didn't charge me (I was only there for 15 minutes) but they did look into my problem. They are honest and knowledgeable. They are now definitely my go to mechanics.

The owner, Charles (Mr. Charlie to my grandmother, who is also a customer), is such a wonderful guy! He's a great mechanic, has affordable prices, and works with you if you find yourself in a financial pinch. In my opinion, for a woman it's hard finding a mechanic that isn't going to take advantage of your lack of knowledge when it comes to cars. I never had the problem at Bryant's. Him, his son, and the rest of his staff have always been decent to me and treated me with courtesy and respect. He's honest about what I need and what I don't need for my car, and he never overcharges me. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

First time car owner. Went here a few years ago they recommended me go to welfare to get help he recommended me these fancy places for different estimates n then said come back to him so he can give me his he made his the lowest by like 50$ so welfare wrote the check for him. I went in dropped off the check not knowing I could give it to them after the job was done my car was there for 5 months guy giving me the run around the entire time finally got my car back my battery was dead my passenger mats front n back were gone my SD drive that had all my kids pictures from when they were babies was missing and all they did was laugh and say it wasn’t there problem. They took advantage of me being a female and being clueless about cars. Definitely do not recommend

Charles, Ryan & Tracey are worth their weight in gold. They easily can charge 2x or 3x the amount they do, but they are honest and diligent in the work and the service that they provide. I have a host of family and friends i send here and they all have the same great experience that I’ve had. If you want or need work done on your car and are looking for an honest mechanic. This is the place to patron.

I’ve been using Bryant’s for over 10 years. I love that Charles explains the issue before hand and after. If anything changes from the original issue is already has plan A,B and ready to go. My family has trusted his team with over 6 cars and he has always been able to solve the issue and the best thing is he is affordable. Can’t recommend enough Bryant Automotive. Shout out to Grant as well to being super nice and explaining any further questions we had on our 2015 Ford Fusion.

⭐ One Star – They Took My Money and Left Me With a Dangerous, Incomplete Job I don’t leave reviews like this lightly—but after my experience with Bryant’s Automotive (Charlie and his son Dustin), I feel responsible to warn others. I paid them to install a new engine. What I got back was a dangerous, unfinished mess—and now I’m spending even more money at a real shop in Visalia just to fix what they failed to do right the first time. Let’s start with the basics: • No receipt. • No documentation. • No breakdown of what was done. That alone should’ve been a red flag—but it got worse. They left the original 1981 motor mounts in the car. These mounts are over four decades old. They installed a brand-new engine but didn’t replace one of the most essential support components. That’s either lazy, careless, or both. They reused cracked hoses and kinked lines—and the engine had a major valve leak from day one. They claimed they test drove it—they didn’t. I drove it away and within minutes, I found out the transmission wasn’t properly installed and wasn’t receiving oil. It burned up immediately, and I had to pay for a new one. They also used random bolts and washers to secure the exhaust manifold. One bolt was stripped and barely holding—I didn’t even know until the new shop flagged it as a safety risk. That’s now part of the long list of things I’m paying someone else to correct. I had been pressing them for weeks about getting the proper manifold bolts. Every time, I got the runaround: “Parts delay,” “Still waiting.” But the second I challenged them—they had the parts overnight. That’s not a parts issue. That’s a respect issue. And when I brought up everything—the sloppy install, the reused mounts, the leaks, the lack of communication—Charlie’s response was: “We don’t use common sense around here & People know me.” Those were his actual answers. That’s the attitude this shop operates with. No ownership, no apology, no pride in their work. Now here’s where it gets personal: I was born and raised in Visalia. But because I currently live out of town, I truly believe they thought I was just some random Hispanic who wouldn’t come back to question anything. Just another check to cash. But I’m not going to stay quiet. Because here’s the truth: If this is how they treated me—someone who knows enough about cars to ask questions and spot issues—imagine how they’d treat someone who doesn’t. Someone who wouldn’t know the difference between an old mount and a new one. Someone who’d just trust them and drive away in a vehicle that’s not safe. This wasn’t a small mistake. This was a pattern of sloppy work, bad communication, and zero accountability. And now I’m paying thousands more to have a proper shop undo their shortcuts. I was referred to them by Keith, a mechanic who works independently out of their shop. That referral has now cost me time, money, and peace of mind. If you’re thinking of taking your vehicle to Bryant’s Automotive, I highly suggest you look elsewhere. This place isn’t about craftsmanship. It’s about cutting corners, dodging responsibility, and hoping you don’t come back to hold them accountable. I have photos to back all of this up. And I will share them wherever I need to. Bryant’s took my money, gave me back a time bomb, and walked away like it wasn’t their problem. But now it is.

I really like this place. Charles is always very fair with me. Two different times I been there and both times whatever I was quoted is what I paid. I feel I found a real honest shop. I trust them with my car. 5 stars for me. He recommended Visalia Smog, for smog checks, they were really good too.
