My experience is that Cesar is an honest auto mechanic with a ton of experience. This review is based on my last experience from March 2025. The door locking system on my 2016 BMW 535xi had stopped working. At BMW Bellevue they found 3 different issues they wanted to diagnose for a total of $750 at which point the issue wouldn't be fixed, just diagnosed. I kindly declined and went to C&M Auto repair where I was greeted by all smiley faces. Cesar plugged in his computer that told him a fuse had failed. He quickly found the failing fuse on the fuse board in the glove department, replaced it and verified that door system had returned to normal behavior. I was there a total of an hour and was charged $153 incl. tax. In my book that is high quality and great value service.

I had a good first impression of C & M Auto Repair & Collision based on their customer service, and I found them through Groupon. I went in for a tire alignment and also had the transmission oil changed. Before the service, my car was running fine with no engine lights. Right after I got home, the engine light turned on, and I couldn’t drive the car back to Bellevue. I asked them to arrange a tow, but they gave me a phone number to pay for my own tow to get the car back to the shop. I'm concerned about what caused the issue after the service. They didn’t follow up properly, which has led to a lack of trust.

I had such a great experience at C and M Auto in Bellevue! I came in for an oil change and was blown away by the kindness and professionalism of the team. Unfortunately, my experience with this auto repair shop was extremely unpleasant. I ordered new doors through eBay and had them delivered directly to this shop. However, instead of replacing the old doors as we agreed, they just painted the old ones — and not even in the right color. The quality of the work was very poor. When I asked to resolve the situation peacefully and simply take my new doors back, they refused. Only after long negotiations did they agree to return my money and the doors. But instead of doing that, they began threatening to damage my car. All I wanted was to get my doors and leave. I highly recommend being very careful and reading all reviews before trusting this shop with your vehicle.”**

I got a used car inspected by them. The technician Walter was very friendly and responsive. Answered most of my questions patiently. But I felt the inspection was not comprehensive. Few basic things were not checked like condition of fluids, filters etc. even after multiple asks. Also, it is like - look, touch and feel kind of assessment rather than a technology backed evaluation. I haven't seen any instruments like voltmeter, paint thickness gauge, tire thread depth gauge etc. used to check things. After all, I didn't get complete confidence to go ahead with the vehicle even after being evaluated as a good vehicle. And the price ($153.00) is a lot for the service given. We can get the same level of service for $50-70 outside.

I had a disappointing experience at this shop and would not return. I initially chose them because they are part of the RepairPal network, which should have made repairs more affordable with my CarMax MaxCare warranty. Unfortunately, the service was frustrating from the start. Cesar, the person assisting me, seemed unfamiliar with my car and its issue despite having the documentation in front of him. When I asked about rental car coverage (which I had discussed with another employee, Natalie), he abruptly interrupted me, assuming he knew what I was going to say. This lack of listening and communication was off-putting, and I nearly took my car elsewhere but was ultimately convinced to leave it. Cesar told me he would call the next day at 12, but I never heard from him. I had to call at 4 p.m., only to find out they hadn’t actually diagnosed the issue yet. When they finally did, it was because they removed the door panel—meaning the entire previous day, they hadn’t even started investigating the problem, wasting my time while keeping my car for multiple nights. On top of that, there was a severe lack of transparency regarding pricing. I was given inconsistent quotes for repairs, and I was never told that I’d be charged $260 for a diagnostic if CarMax didn’t cover the issue. Clear communication about potential charges is essential for good customer service, and that was completely lacking here. Ultimately, I paid for a diagnostic, didn’t get my issue resolved, and left feeling scammed. This shop needs to improve its communication, transparency, and customer service. I would not recommend it. **Edit** I got a response to this review with some very invalid claims. So happy to be done with a scammy company that would go this far to try and discredit. Updated my 2 star to a 1 star. Attaching a photo of the part missing from my car after their service.

Ceasar came with his helper-student to replace alternator on my van. His helper didn't look like he knows what he was doing. After they replaced it, I was driving van in MT when problem happened. They didn't tighten alternator enough, it became loose, belt snapped, alternator propeller crashed in pieces, those pieces damaged few hoses and parts under the hood. Stay away from that shop!!! Or stay in the shop to see if they are doing their job properly..

Got a pre-purchase inspection. Was charged $150 after taxes and the mechanic did a 10 minute look over and drove the car around the parking lot. I asked him to inspect the engine mount twice and he only looked at it after the inspection was done and asking him again for a 3rd time. I’ve had cheaper and more comprehensive inspections done for less and I came away with wasted time and no confidence in doing a purchase. The mechanic was communicative and helpful though.

Unfortunately they did a poor job respraying my door . I had to take the car back twice to have it fixed. In the end, My door was not reassembled properly either. The wiring inside the door was left damaged, causing the speaker to not work and the interior door panel was not secured, causing creaking in the door. They refused to work any further on the car. I would recommend taking your car to another shop. The staff is very nice and understanding though.
