The best shop I’ve been to. Calfo’s is trustworthy, efficient, affordable, and knowledgeable on all things automotive. Quick and smooth process to get two tires replaced. I can't say enough good things about the guys and service. Highly recommend - and will be returning for any other car needs.

Most genuine and honest people. I absolutely trust them with any issues I'm having with my car and know I'm in good hands. They're always sure to call you before starting any repairs to let you know what's wrong, what they recommend, and what it will cost. I even convinced my partner to leave his car repair shop and to start going to Calfo's.

I can’t say enough good things about every single person at Calfo’s Auto. I have been taking my cars to them for almost 8 years now. So many other shops I have been to talk down to me or try to lie and scam. You will get NONE of this from anyone at Calfo’s. They communicate well and answer any possible questions you may have. Recently, I was in a fender bender and had to get some body work done. They could not have been more amazing helping with insurance. Even though my car is 11 years old they matched the paint perfectly and it honestly looks better than the day I bought it. I will never take my cars anywhere else and cannot recommend them enough to anyone in the Pittsburgh area.

Calfos definitely blew any other mechanic I’ve had worked on my car over the years out of the water. I brought my Toyota to them with an overwhelming amount of problems as I had just got into a total accident in my previous car and bought this one for the meantime as is, they fixed every single thing that may even possibly be wrong with it right up and right the first time. I have never had to call back repeatedly and get a not good job on my car like I have at other mechanics in the past. Calfos puts their time in their repairs and all their heart into it to make sure their customers are satisfied!

These guys are true professionals. They accommodate price ranges well and are willing to take losses when something goes wrong. The only real issue is that they are often quite busy, but if they have time for you you can expect high quality service.

I'm looking to buy a reliable, affordable used car in this ridiculously horrid market and needed a reliable, thorough, and affordable mechanic to inspect one I was hoping to buy. Calfo's came highly recommended by several different friends so I took it to Rege (sp?) there and he was AMAZING. He took his time under the hood, in the interior, under the chassis up on hoists, drove it, and let me observe along with him.....plus was super amiable and honest. Ultimately found a problem that he felt was too much of a red flag and saved me $$$ and endless headaches in recommending I not purchase it. I was so disappointed but so very grateful to Rege and Calfo's. Highly recommend and I will be back! (crossed fingers the next car is a winner...)

I am from Ohio and we LOVE driving. Let me tell ya. As a motorist from Ohio, I experience my fair share of automotive disappointments. I’ll have car trouble and say “Dang” and then immediately YouTube the opening race sequence from the first Fast and Furious. That always gets my spirits up. Here’s another thing that gets my spirits up: Calfo’s. The best automotive service in Pittsburgh. Hands down. Fair on pricing. Timely service. Professional. And sometimes I get so excited to see them that I’ll just talk (incoherent babbling) and they never interrupt. Always just let me go through and say what I gotta say. “Yep, I love a good radiator.” “Ever been to this cool coffee shop?” “Hello!” They’re such good listeners and v nice people. Thank you Calfo’s. Ohio customer for life here. PS - Vin Diesel’s ‘93 Veilside RX-7 from that F&F race sequence is SICK.

The absolute best around! Consistently honest and trustworthy. I even am coming in from out of town to have them continue to service my vehicle because they have often quoted me half what other places have. I love Calfo's!

Calfo’s Auto Service is hands down the best auto repair shop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I’ve been bringing my car here for years, and every time, I’m impressed by the quality of work and the passion behind it. When you walk into the shop, you’re greeted not just by the staff but by walls covered in personal photos of triumphs and motocross—these folks don’t just work here, they live and breathe cars and motors. You can tell that this is more than just a job for them; it’s a way of life. Out front, you’ll notice the owner’s badass truck, a clear sign that these guys know what they’re doing. Whether you need brake repair, engine diagnostics, or routine car maintenance, Calfo’s Auto Service has you covered. What really sets them apart, though, is the trust you can place in their hands. When it comes to car repairs, trust is everything—especially when your family’s safety is on the line. Knowing that Brian and his team are the ones working on my car gives me peace of mind. They treat every vehicle as if it were their own, ensuring that everything is done right the first time. This is why I trust Calfo’s with my family’s safety on the road.

Regis is amazing :) He's knowledgeable, trustworthy and truly cares about his clients. I know my car is in good hands and he's always willing to listen and answer questions about all the little 'quicks' my 20 year old Jeep Liberty displays. Highly recommend!!

I’ve taken my car here twice now and am always impressed with their efficiency and trustworthiness. Being a single woman, bringing my car to the shop always induces a bit of anxiety, but that goes out the door when I bring it to Calfo’s! Super honest and hardworking guys, couldn’t recommend them enough.

I had an issue with the oil pan cover coming loose and scraping the pavement. Im not from Pittsburgh, so I googled close auto service and Calfo's popped up. Im so glad it did! The gentleman who helped me was so kind! I would very much recommend this place for excellent service and more importantly, kindness. Hard to come by these days. Thank you!

Cares for your car but not so much for you. I had my car inspected elsewhere and it passed but needed more work. I found Calfo's and they said they could do the work. Then I spent about a month trying to get service scheduled. At the first appointment, I dropped off the car for a 2-day job, only to come to pick it up and was told they forgot to order the parts - and also forgot to tell me. Two days without my car wasted. I was told they would call back to reschedule, but the call never came. I tried several times an only when I asked if I should look elsewhere for service was my appointment scheduled. I dropped the car off again and was again told it would be a 2-day job. In the meantime, my "Maintenance Required" light had come on and I asked that this be checked as well. When I called mid-afternoon of the second day, (didn't totally trust it would be ready) I was told they had gotten the wrong part and were trying to get another. It may or may not come that day. Eventually I got a call that it would be ready by end of day. When I picked the car up, they were checking under the hood for the source of the "Maintenance Required" light. I was told it was fluid levels, although no additional fluids were added and the light was turned off. The rest of the work they did was in the rear on the axels and differential. I took the car home (3 miles) and it sat there for the weekend. Monday morning I started on my way to work during rush hour traffic. About 5 miles into the drive, my engine caught fire. I was on the parkway in the passing lane. I managed to get over and to the nearest exit, which was Oakland. As I started down the ramp I found my brakes had also failed. There were cars and pedestrians everywhere. By some miracle I took a sharp turn up Bates to slow the car and didn't hit anyone else. The car eventually stopped. By that time the flames were 4 feet high. As you might imagine, I had imagined the worst. As I got out of the car and ran, a pedestrian yelled that he had already called 911 because they saw the flames as I came down the ramp. When I notified Calfo's of what happened, I was told quite strongly and repeatedly that they were not to blame, they had worked on the rear of the car and the fire started in the engine. Despite my questions of what exactly they were doing under the hood, there was "no chance" they had done anything to cause the fire, even though it happened within ten miles of leaving their shop. I requested at least some refund or renumeration for my losses (the car was totaled and I lost personal belongings not to mention the stress of it all!) and for all the time I had spent (and wasted) trying to get my car repaired at Calfo's. I was told that they would not consider that because they had done good work and they were sorry for my inconvenience. So that's why I say, "They care for your car, but not for you!"

They were great. They accommodated me when my regular mechanic could not, repaired my car at a fair price, and completed the work on time. They were honest and reliable. Highly recommend!

I had high hopes for this place but they really let me down. We went in for a routine inspection and they told us they couldn't give us a sticker until they replaced two small lights on the car in obscure places. They told us they would need to charge us over $300 to replace. It wasn't ideal, but we understood and were kind about it. We took a day to think about it, called them back, and asked them to go ahead and order the parts so they could replace the lights. They said they'd do that. I didn't hear from them for three weeks. When I called back, they said they never ordered the lights. I asked if they could go ahead and order them now, since we still need the sticker. They said that one of the mechanics was on vacation but that they would call me back later that day with a plan and a clearer timeline for when they could install the new lights. They didn't call me. I called them three more times over the next two weeks, each time they promised they'd call me back with a plan. They never did. By this time it was well over a month since we'd first been in the shop, and our sticker was expired. We went to a new mechanic and got the inspection done a second time. The new mechanic was done in 3 hours and found no issues. The folks we spoke with at Calfo's were always kind so I'm not sure if it was intentional, but the situation was very frustrating and caused a lot of unnecessary anxiety and inconvenience.
