Took my truck in for a state inspection. When they found a problem preventing my truck from passing the inspection, they contacted me immediately, then allowed me to repair the problem on site. Then the tech pushed my inspection on thru after watching me make the repair. The tech went above and beyond to get my inspection completed that day. Especially because it was the last day I had to get the inspection without being late. Great job!

Calvert’s Auto Express was the third shop I tried to fix my flat tire. They were the first to offer to do it that day. The front desk person was really helpful and pleasant. The repair was done in less than an hour and it ended up costing me less than $25. I was impressed by how honest and helpful they were. From now on all my car business goes to them!!!

This place is really a joke. John the manager is very rude. I dropped my vehicle off because it was running hot and my front vents for my air was not blowing. John called and told me what needed to be done and I asked for them to fix it. I paid over $800 which majority of that went to labor. The replacement part itself were under $100 so you do the math. Well 2 days after they 'fixed' the issue. My car started to run hot again and this time it was smoking. I called and told the manager and took my vehicle back to them. Well John begin to tell me that it was something else. After I asked what was fixed and why is the same problems happening, he then told me I could get my vehicle out of there and refused to help me. I'm currently working with a attorney and will update but I wouldn't suggest anyone use their service.

Be careful coming here for repairs etc . I came here to get a car looked at and was told it was my valve cover. I explained to them that the valve cover was already replaced because it was leaking oil. He told me that it's not working and the gasket had to be replaced, not the actual cover. I asked him to come out and look at the car with me. He pointed to some DIRT on the valve cover and said, "See, it's not new." I checked around the valve cover and there was no oil. I put my finger over the diaphragm, and there was no hissing or suction. (Jeff saw this.). Another way to tell when your valve cover is bad. I kept telling him it wasn't the valve cover and was told they stand behind their work. The CEL came back on, so I took the car back. I was still being told the same thing, so they cleared the code and looked again. The guy working on The car showed me the old valve cover, and he said, "See, this hasn't been replaced." So I showed him proof that it had been replaced, and he just walked away. I got in the car, and the CEL came on right before I pulled off. I went back in there, and he test-drove the car. It was making the same sound and driving the same when I pulled off, but I had to go. I've already been there three days in a row twice at 7:30 a.m. The next day, I called and was told he was on the phone, which when I was there the day before, the girl up front had told someone on the phone the same thing, and he was just standing in the shop area.I never got a call back, so I drove up there on Monday. He was a completely different Jeff. Jeff, who wants your money, and Jeff, who already has your money... The light was back on, the car was still stalling. This time, he tells me they performed a relearn on the throttle body, and the car was fixed. Y'all never replaced my throttle body, so how is it that the throttle body was the cause of my problem when I was told it was the valve cover? Now, since y'all did a relearn on my throttle body (not a replacement or cleaning), never having touched this part before, it was never the valve cover. When I told Jeff this, he said, "Yes, it was." So why did you do a relearn on the throttle body? When I asked him, he changed the subject by telling me a tool was left under the hood and ran off. He doesn't want to stand by his word. You know what you told me. You didn't think I had proof of purchase, but I do. Yes, the throttle body was replaced too. The valve cover has nothing to do with the throttle body. So, basically, I was charged almost $300 just for a relearn. He even admitted the next day that he didn't think it was the The valve cover after we left from outside. I mentioned that they lied on the paperwork about the valve cover making a noise, so he changed the subject when I looked up he was gone. When we talked about parts, I asked him which brand the part was. He told me it was OEM, which is what I wanted. He didn't tell me until after they had ordered and installed it (and I asked again) that the part was a Dorman brand part. This type of car part from Dorman fails all the time. The price also cost more than it would have at the dealership. He lied and told me the part would be $100 and charged me $170. The dealership is the most expensive repair shop, but their part was less than $100 (OEM). The place is probably only ok for an oil and tire change. EDIT 🚩🚩🚩 Haha, why not address what I said about your company/you? cause im telling the truth, and that part was ALREADY on the car. Do you want to see the PROOF? This just shows again that you don't know anything. Let's talk about the part you ordered that I told you not to; it's already leaking. Why didn't he notice that two hoses needed to be replaced because the scanner didn't tell him? It's not about me buying the car, but what you all did. Jeff is SHADY and does SHADY BUSINESS. I HOPE PEOPLE SEE MY REVIEW AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Everyone, just bring your car to my dog; he doesn't know what he's doing either.

Went to this shop a couple of months ago to have a slow leak repaired. The receptionist said do you want a plug or a patch 😀? What's the difference ? ,$23. for a plug and $ 44. For a patch ! Most auto shop just fix it. Anyway if you see a blonde man with hair passed his ears leave. He plugged my tire, next day my tire was completely flaaaat. The slow leak turned out to be a fast leak. She said bring it back. Thought ohhh nooo took it to Walmart 40 hwy fixed it like brand new.

Great place for all of your care care needs. I had 4 tires that needed busted off rims and new ones put on. The Manager, Jeff is one of the most helpful and professional people I have ever encountered in a service garage in all 59 of my trips around the sun. He deserves a raise as he bent over backwards to get me in right away. He even served me coffee! Thanks Jeff!

They did okay work on my vehicle. It just took them way too long & not much communication. I was there for 7 1/2 hours If they would of told it I as going to take that long? I would of taken an Uber home. Then the guy who was working on my car had finished & went to lunch & didn't tell anyone my car was done. Just a bit unprofessional.

Tonight I got a flat tire on my way home. I happened to be driving through Raytown, MO. I'm not from that area, it's about 40 minutes from my home. I was unlucky enough to get my flat tire at 4:40 pm on a Friday evening. I quickly pulled into Tires Plus. Google says they are open until 7pm. At the time, it was 4:40. The man at the desk said, "We are closing in 20 minutes, there's nothing I can do for you" . I asked if there was somewhere he could recommend that would be open past 5, and he recommended Firestone. I drove on my rim to Firestone. It was now 4:46. Google again claims that they stay open until 7. Firestone said, "We close in 16 minutes. I can't change your tire in that time." I explained that I wasn't from this area. If they couldn't help me, I'd probably need to stay there and wait for a tow truck. He offered to put enough air in my flat tire to get me to the next shop up the street. However, my tire was really flat, something had punctured it, and airing it up didn't work. He pointed out the next tire shop's sign, and said I should be able to make it there. He did not want me to wait for a tow. I drove to Calvert's Express auto service and tire. I got to Calvert's at 4:56. They were also closing, but the guy there said he would help me. He changed my tire, and had me driving out of his shop at 5:12. I highly recommend Calvert's, and I'm grateful that they have employees there that care about taking care of customers, rather than just trying to leave early on Friday night.

I called Friday morning about a brake fluid leak on the driver side rear of my 2006 Mustang and was told to come right in. After arriving I was told it might be a couple hours before someone can look at my vehicle,so I ordered a uber. About a hr later I received a call that my caliber rotor and brake pads needed to be replaced on the rear of my vehicle and that would cost me 650. I told the man I had just replaced my rotors and brakes on the rear about seven months ago so they shouldn’t need to be replaced and to just to replace the caliber. I was quoted $350 for that. At this point, I felt like I was being ripped off and told him to just put everything back on and I’ll come and get my car. So I drove my car to another shop. Once I got to the other shop my car begin smoking, and the person opened up the hood and noticed that they did not tighten up my cap on my coolant when they were checking my fluids. I will not be coming back to this shop and would not recommend them to anyone.

Came in for a brake inspection, left with my vehicle being in a vehicle vs pedestrian accident, the mechanic driving lied to police about what happened, the company lied to me saying what needed to be done, and tried blaming me, never go here, in fact, get them shut down!

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!.I took my car here back in April to get some repair work done, when I picked my car up it was damaged / side swipped by a worker there when they backed my car off a ramp inside the shop. I contacted the corporate office and was told this information by the district manager John. John then informed me to get 3 estimates about getting me car fixed because they "wanted to do right by me and fix what their employee had damaged". I get the 3 estimates he asked for and then he proceeded to tell me those estimates were too high and that they would not pay that and for me to bring my cat back to them to fix, which I didn't understand because they are not a body shop to complete the repair. I told John I didn't feel comfortable with that and I would be contacting my insurance company to complete this since they have been giving me the run around for 2 months. I get my car repaired via my insurance company and pay my deductible out of my own pocket for damage their employee caused. They now are telling my insurance company they will not pay for this inconvenience they caused me and I'm in such disbelief. Please,.please don't not got here ever again because my situation could be you one day. I'm very angry and disappointed in this company.

A diligent effort was made to find the problem. The repair costs were outside my budget but I was offered a cost-saving alternative that worked perfectly. Some mechanics are hard to trust but Calvert’s has proven to me on multiple occasions that they can be trusted. Thank you for getting my car back in the road.

Look elsewhere if you want to be treated fairly and right as a customer. These people don't care how they treat customers. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way. I requested a repair of a tire losing air. They showed me a nail that they found in it and stated that they repaired the tire. What they really did was just put air in it and charged me for the repair cost. I had to get it repaired the next day by another repair shop. I told them about it and they said I could get my money back if I would bring in the receipt for the repair that was done from the other shop. I didn't have a receipt because the other shop gifted me with a no charge repair. Calvert's representative stated that they wouldn't refund me without that receipt. My problem with this is Calvert's knew they never made a repair in the first place. Avoid businesses that operate like this. I just wanted help. I didn't deserve this.

I was stuck out of town not knowing what to do. My brother suggested I go to Calvert’s. The service was incredible and everything was explained to me in terms that was understandable. If I ever need service again when I’m in Kansas City, Calvert’s is where I’ll be stopping.
