I was very impressed with this shop! David the shops owner is on the front desk and floor answering all your questions surprisingly even on the inspection of a 1974 Eldorado for me! This is a very unique shop that services current and older Autos as well as heavy duty trucks. personable people, expert knowledge and fair estimates and pricing. I highly recommend this shop to anyone

My company was on a job in Bloomington, and we are out of Evansville. Our F-250 6.0 powerstroke wouldn't start when it was time to go home for the night. Figuring it was most likely a FICM SYNC issue or something fairly easy to fix I decided it made more sense to have a local diesel shop do the repair since we were busy and I didn't really have the time to fix it myself. BIG MISTAKE! I called a wrecker to come take it to Carmichael Truck Repair after speaking with the service manager. He told me he would call me the next day to let me know what the mechanic found and go over options. The next day he called and explained that they found the problem, a leak at the HPOP but that they wouldn't be able to get to it for a week. He then proceeded to tell me that the truck would start and run fine as long as it didn't get shut off I would have no trouble getting it back to my shop in Evansville. He said I would just owe them a small diagnostic fee. All sounded great. When I arrived to get my truck he handed my a bill for $510.80!!! For diagnosing the problem only, no repairs of any kind were done. I expected to pay up to $200 which was on the high side in my opinion. After expressing my discontent with his price I paid him and left. 20 miles later I was stranded on I-69 which has no facilities to speak of as it is a new highway. The lesson here, don't trust that Carmichael Truck Repair will treat you fairly or diagnose your problem correctly. Your best bet is to not do business with them at all. I know I wish I hadn't.

I've had two different Motor Homes taken to Carmichaels Truck and Automotive. John has taken great care of them for me. The first motor needed an alignment and I thought the other one needed the transmission serviced. This is where I found these guys to be really honest because it turned out it was just the catalytic convertor. Thanks for the awesome work! I would highly recommend them for any of your automotive needs.

Although they were not able to do the repair, he gave me references to help me out in getting my truck fixed. He was more than fair, and the pricing for what he did was fair as well. Recognizing this business that is a locally owned Bloomington business that does great work. They have great mechanics and they are very thorough and fair. Had a flat tire on a recreational vehicle. Stopped at belle tire and they were not very helpful, someone recommended Carmichael’s. Stopped in and asked for someone to inflate my tire. They were super friendly and had a tech fill my tire. I was back on the road in less than 10 min.

Car had a bad battery and couldn’t get it started. Called Carmichael and they came and towed it within an hour (good). Once I got there they verified it was a bad battery. I had just bought a new battery and I had it in the vehicle. They installed the battery. Total cost for the in town tow was $185. $127 to test the battery. Thought I was taken advantage of, would not recommend
