After my car was broken into I decided to take it here! When I arrived there I informed the young lady up front that I had scratches and the bottom part of the door was protruding outwards! Her response was we’ll take care of it! After a few months of calling to check on my car because the parts were back ordered and me starting to complain about it I finally got my car back! PS don’t take your car here if you’re leaving the country for a few months and don’t have anywhere to leave your car! Leave it with carstar! Bottom I still have the scratches on my door and that bottom panel is still popping out! I forgot to mention I still had shattered glass in my car underneath the seats! 🤦🏾‍♂️😡🤬

I strongly suggest you avoid this place if you can. The staff were friendly, but they had my car for a very long time (more than a month) and the work was not good. They were unable to provide me with an accurate estimate of when it would be completed, and I had to return to have multiple parts of the repair job fixed (my gas cover and my door were not flush, and that panel/area was the main section they worked on). The upholstery of the interior back section where they needed to take the car apart is permanently damaged. There's a large stain that I can only guess came from water or adhesive of something. The paint job on the exterior has obvious grains/bumps in it, particularly on the gas cap. They can absolutely be felt by brushing your hand across the car. This was a car with an immaculate paint job and professional ceramic coating. I chose this place because it was top recommended option from my insurance company, and it was a 40 minute drive each way. Having to repeat that process two extra times because the car was not repaired in a timely fashion and I needed to retrieve items from it to travel, and then again to have the issues with the repair job addressed, and to still be left with permanent damage that was not there previously is kind of a lot. I'm not sure how great bodywork can ever be because I haven't had to have much completed, but I have to think there are better options in the area. 16Jan2025 Update: Carstar reached out to me and offered to make another attempt to fix my car. As mentioned above, the location is not close to me and my car had previously been returned in worse condition. I was skeptical, but they offered to pick the vehicle up from my home and return it the same day. The stain is almost completely gone - you would have to know it was there to notice it now. The paint job has been buffed and is now smooth to the touch. It's not exactly like new, but they never are. I wish the service could have been as efficient the first times around. Maybe things are different now?

I hope to never have to do bodywork on my vehicle again but if I do I will absolutely bring it back to CARSTAR. They repaired my car after a tree limb fell on the hood and Kristin made the extra effort to get all new parts from the dealer since the car was practically brand new. I was in an unfortunate wreck late last year while my son was in the NICU and the team at CARSTAR took such wonderful care of me!! I can’t thank you enough Cathy and Josh for everything you did. While going through the worst time of my life, and losing my son, you were so helpful and kind to me. I’ll never be able to thank you enough for everything you did. If I could give 10 stars I would! When my insurance company was impossible to deal with and not wanting to pay for my rental car, Cathy ensured I had proper transportation. It was stressful enough driving to UNC to see my son everyday but also having to worry about having a car would have made it even worse. If you need anything these are the people to see!! Not only is their work great (my car was cleaner when I picked it up than when I dropped it off! lol) but they actually care about you as a customer.

Great service from the front desk and body repair to the rear of my Mazda CX-3. Looks like new! Rear bumper, camera, trunk etc. was smashed from behind by hit and run:( Don’t know what that should cost but it seemed reasonable for the amount of work. They set up a car rental through my insurance with a nearby Enterprise who picked me up at the garage and then just leave it with the garage when done.
